  • Hello and welcome to episode 54 of West Coast Gold Prospecting. Today we are back in my favorite spot in search for new deposits of gold. Using just a pan and a pick today. Because I couldn’t get my sluice setup!!
A huge thanks to my patrons and channel members for supporting my dream and encouraging me to work that much harder to achieve it.
I still have paydirt for sale and if you would like some email me at dtrost420@gmail.com and get yourself some. It won’t last long.

WOW amazing gold man them pickers are chunky
The larger bug I believe to be a cicada nymph or maybe a jerusalem cricket. Yes indeed we do have scorpions in quite a few places around oregon. Finding one next to a stream bank is an odd spot indeed tho.
Thanks again for sharing your adventures of gold hinting

@@WestCoastGoldProspecting I have a few different setups and options in my opinion they can catch me if they can hog it with my 6 and jam depending on the amount of drop you have at your location you could gravity dredge it they work really well have built several over the years in areas I could not get a dredge into or did not feel like trying I use 4 inch pvc connected to 30 foot of suction hose on the other end will use sluice from my 4 inch works well about just as much suction as long as you have about 8 feet of vertical drop from suction nozzle to sluice
