I think the challenge of getting on with our lives after a medical scare is much more challenging for those of us who live alone and don't have someone with us to bring that comforting cup of tea when we need it or words of support. Your positivity and words of encouragement help those in need more than you can ever know. You look beautiful as always! Sending healing vibes for a quick, complete recovery so you can again enjoy your fabulous travels!
Margaret, you're a top woman!! Recovering from surgery and uplifting US! You're really fantastic. Thanks for your little pills of courage, happiness and optimism every day. I love you.
Hello Margaret, please don’t minimize the pain or the feeling of being vulnerable. Surgery is hard, and recovery takes time for emotions to settle and to be able to get back into a new daily rhythm. Sometimes it leaves us a bit apprehensive about what is ahead, but we do adjust to the new outlook, too. Thank you for your sweet and generous spirit that shines through when you speak to us on your channel. I hope that you have a smooth and easy recovery, and you have a renewed sense of strength. ❤
Hello Margaret, I have been a nurse for nearly 48 years, please know that sound of people upset / shocked/ grieving still breaks my heart. Xxx Blessings to you Margaret, for complete healing and abundant health in your future ❤
you obviously have a very soft spirit about you. Unfortunately the nursing profession can harden one's heart to pain and suffering of others after years of being exposed to it God bless you.
We all love you Margaret and God loves you even more everything you say is to help women young and especially older as in our '70s our whole life seems to turn around but we've been blessed there's so much brief in the hospital So many more important things than our looks it's our heart and our soul that's the real importance God bless you Thank you for coming on and taking the time to talk to us we know you don't feel great but you did a wonderful thing encouraging us God bless you and your family❤❤🌹
You look so beautiful and so real. I feel for you as a 60 year old now, was 58 when I started watching your channel and now we’re here. You are so loving and caring and I actually feel the support in this online community. Thank you so much sis! For your positivity even in times of stress, hip hip hurray!
We are all most vulnerable when we are ill and in hospital, it’s only normal. So glad you’re recovering well and going home! You have our love and best wishes ❤
Margaret, you need not apologize for not wearing makeup. Beauty comes from within and you show that every blessed day. Life is a gift. Tomorrow is not promised. Live for today. You've got this. 😊
Wishing you full recovery. I watch your channel as often as I can. But, OMG, I had no idea you are 74! You look great! I truly thought you were early 60's (hence the name of your channel) Your videos are always uplifting and I really enjoy this channel. I'm sorry you're in hospital (I'm actually recovering from cancer and surgery myself! I'm fine now) but it's one of those life events that gives you pause to really count your blessings. Wishing you well soon!

Hello lovely Lady. That song (Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life ) springs to mind. You will be so looking forward to going back home Margaret to be surrounded by the comfort of you're own home and surroundings. Your operation was not just a little overnight stay having your Gallbladder removed is not pleasant at all and not a little operation for sure, and will take you some weeks to recover properly. If I had to have my gallbladder removed I'd certainly be treating it like a Major operation. Life sure does throw challenges at us and we always surprise ourselves how we cope through the changes., Home for lots of self care for you❤
thank you for the full confidence and trust you have with the members of your community, Margaret; thank you for shaing your heartful words and so courageously staying authentic and vulnerable .. may God bless you and guide you in all your coming in and going out. 🌷🙏
Margaret, you are such a strong beautiful woman. I hope you will take the time to heal and take care of yourself. We all love you so very much and what you do for us.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments. I somehow felt completely relaxed when I was doing those videos and I’m so glad that people responded well. It was an amazing experience.
Your vulnerability and willingness to share it with us is a source of strength and light for us all. You lead with grace and kindness and I (we all I’m sure) thank you ❤️

The moment you described with the women in the hospital is a moment that is well known to my heart. In my career as a critical care nurse i stood by countless bed sides as people in their most vulnerable, naked conditions, experienced euphoria or agony. I feel privledged to have had the opportunity to have witnessed all of these moments, and to learn when to offer comfort and when to move discreetly away. In your empathy Margaret, you knew innately what to do. Thanks for sharing the moment with us. Thanks for being you. ❤
Denise, TY for being you! I am a long retired nurse and have many memories, good and bad, and even have happy and sad dreams still of the time I worked at the hospital. Much appreciation to you for being a critical care nurse! :)
@@Val_MH Thank you too. Val. I've been retired for 10 years now and I too still have dreams about the hospital. Usually I dream that I'm late to my shift and that I have no clean scrubs to wear or can't find my stethescope, so unprepared in some way. Well, yes; at this point I'm 10 years late, and since I've forgotten more than i ever knew!
Hi Denise what a beautiful thing to read. You brought tears to my eyes again. Being able to share that kind of experience with the meaningful to me and the fact that so many women in our community respond it makes me feel so good. We are an incredible community, empathic kind and loving women. I could not be more proud. Thank you so much for sharing your story and experience. It means a lot thank you.
I’m 72 and live alone, divorced ages ago with no children. Our friends are our family and we need them more than ever. I found you during the pandemic and you and this group has greatly helped me. You look beautiful and your kindness to keep all of us. Up-to-date with your situation is so giving of you. You’re also so lucky to live in a country that lets you stay in the hospital for healing. In the United States, he would’ve been out the next day. I had spinal surgery a few years back and it was outpatient! You’re very blessed and know that we all love you very much. Kathleen ❤
Yes, being very alone increases the feelings of vulnerability and fear overall; however, especially when we have health issues. I know because it’s my situation. It’s how we learn how really strong we are though. Often people with lots of others around them feel alone also. We can do it though! I remind myself daily that my faith is a good reason to never get panicky when I’m ill. We can always get creative and do more than we think can’t we? I understand believe me.
@@Sunny-be1wg You are so right! We are strong yet vulnerable, women of faith, sometimes living in fear. But in the end, we make it through, and we learn! Thank you for your kind words!
Full of love and compassion for all our beautiful friends here, everyone having been through much. Just returned from a laser surgery in my eyes for glaucoma, went and returned alone, as i have a 93 year old father at home, my children live abroad. I must confess that there were moments when i was teary, and felt sorry for myself. But at long last, i have learnt to breathe deeply into myself and see this little crybaby with compassion and love, and hold her within. I know i am fine and will be fine. Lots of love.
So wonderful to see you on the road to recovery. I also recently went through surgery and the whole process definitely put alot into perspective: how fortunate we are to enjoy time on this amazing planet, how precious and fragile life is and how important it is to take more moments to appreciate the world around us, our friends, family and the beautiful joys of nature. I now make sure to take time every morning for what I call "patio therapy." It's been so healing to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the wind, the beautiful birdsongs and the amazing gifts of nature. Sending positive wishes your way for ongoing positive healing.
Hi Margaret! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! I was noticing the beautiful day, sunshine, birds singing and the green field behind you. Yes there are good days and bad days and your smile brightens the day for us. As a retired Nursing Assistant, I’ve seen and hear lots of tears but also a lot of smiles. You’re right! This is “Life”. Like the saying, it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Same for life, it is better to have had the chance to live then to never to have lived at all! I’m 76 in August. My best friend died from cancer three years ago. I miss her but I have her memories. I’m thankful for each new day. Good and bad, it shows me I am still here!❤️🙏🌸🌺 Thankful your getter better! You are a blessing! Believe it!
Thank you so much Susan for that lovely message. Yes I’ve heard from several nurses who said the same thing and I never really appreciated it until this week. You do an incredible job in that field. Yes it was quite emotional but I’m so glad that I was there to experience it. I’m so sorry that you lost your friend. That must be very hard but I know that you’ve got plenty of wonderful memories. Take good care and have a wonderful weekend.
So glad that you came thru the surgery well. I so relate to what you are saying as a retired Nurse I saw many people going thru the human conditions. It is important to have Compassion!!!!
Margaret you are beautiful with and without makeup! Thank you so very much for sharing with us. I find it hard to be vulnerable with anyone let alone a whole audience of people from women coming from all walks of life! And you absolutely do not look like you’re in your 70’s. Beautiful lady, I’m praying for you and the family that you heard crying. Blessings!
Hello Margaret,,Margaret surgery is never easy,,and here you are encouraging us while still in the hospital. Yes we to often forget how blessed we are even in bad times. Margaret thank. You for all your inspiration. Your in my prayers.
That 'vulnerable' feeling! Ugh, I've found it to be the most angsty feeling ever! As challenging as it can be, you've been a trooper, Margaret! ps: Beautiful is beautiful..lipstick or not!! 😘❣️
These vulnerable moments bring so much to the surface. All of our tenderness , fear, love and strength. I am glad you are going home soon. Sending much love and hugs to you from here in Maine. I am loving that we can be here for one another.

You--and Tina Turner--are simply the best! ❤ Once again, your positive, warm, uplifting comments reveal the true gift you are for me❣Hope your recovery is quick and you can be back home soon.
Thankful for your vlog today. We lost my Granddaughter this past Sunday...31 yo...2 beautiful daughters daughters she left with us. Your comments were very encouraging. Don't minimize your feelings or discomfort. God Bless ❤
So glad and relieved to see you up and out in nature! May you continue to heal fully. Thank you for allowing us to share in your vulnerability. It has made us feel even closer to you.
It is so nice to see you out in the bright sunlight and to hear that you are going home. Bright, sunny days always make me feel better and hopeful. Thank you for the update. Take care of yourself, allow yourself to rest and recuperate. Hugs.
Margaret, what you said is true about how fragile life can be. I'm a retired ICU nurse and I have experienced the sadness of losing patients and having to help deliver the devastating news to family members. Even those who think they are prepared really are not. Often I may not have cared for the patient very long because they die soon after arrival. Then there are the patients who may spend weeks or a month or two in the ICU and I get to know them well, and you develop a connection to the family. It can have a profound affect on the staff. I'm so glad your feeling stronger and your recover is progressing well. Take your time, we'll all be here.
Thank you for your update and encouraging, compassionate and uplifting words. You speak from the heart and that in turn helps us all. Heal well and rest when you need to. ❤
Thank you Margaret for giving us the update. We worry about you and it doesn't matter if people have a lot worse things happen to them. It's hard to get older and start to have more health problems, even if that's a part of life. We can't pretend that doesn't happen but we try to carry on. By the way I think you look great without makeup. I stopped wearing makeup years ago except on occasion when I feel like wearing eyeshadow or eyeshadow used as eyeliner. I have a taupe color I love. I like the way your hair looks, too. You have a natural look that is very flattering though I understand some women want to wear a bit of makeup. I hope you feel better and it will be nice to be home again. Take care.
So glad to hear that you are finally getting out of hospital. 2 weeks ago my husband did not walk out of the hospital, not sure what I am doing right now. Going one day at a time.
Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss. Reaching out, as you are, is a huge accomplishment. One day at a time seems a lot. Just being present for one breath can be a lot. Hang on.
You are so inspirational Margaret. You encourage us to appreciate the beautiful things in life be it a flower or a sunset or a cat meowing etc etc, and not to sweat the small stuff
You look lovely Margaret! The only make up you need is the inner beauty that you are made of, and that’s on display for all to see. Keep shining! The Lord bless, strengthen and you, beloved of God.🙏🏽❤️🤗
So glad that you have come through this and out the other side. Thank you for sharing not only the good time, but times that are not so grand. All the best!
So beautiful in every way! What i love the most is that Margaret is "other" oriented in what is clearly a demanding time for her. It i s also so reassuring to see her beauty in the sun, with no makeup, and just the joy of natural radiance. Margaret, I see you and appreciate you.
Thank you Margaret for your reflections, honesty, humility and love. I feel more than ever we are all connected and love spreads and heals. God bless ❤️🥰🙏
Greetings Margaret! Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us posted. I think having surgery and then recovering can leave us feeling very vulnerable. I had intense oral surgery and they didn't even let me wake up fully before they kicked me out! I know you will feel better and stronger now. We all love you and I am filled with gratitude for your friendship and that of our community. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Thank you Margaret for your gentleness, for putting others before yourself, and for restoring my faith and hope for a world that shows care and respect. Your wonderful smile, and peaceful presence is like you just dropped by to say hello to each one of us separately. Have a speedy return to the beauty you have created, a world of such possibility.❤
A great big hug to you Margaret! You look really good in the sunshine. Your energy is strong and balanced, just what you need to finish up healing from your gall bladder surgery. My Rx for you is pamper, pamper, pamper, and rest. You will be good as new before you know it. You got this girl! :) Love ya. Kathy
Hello dearest Margaret, I’m going through a period of feeling vulnerable about being 72. I don’t have the strength and vitality I used to have to do what I want to do. But I keep trying and that’s all we can do. Wishing you the best of health and aloha
Margaret, I don't often comment on UA-cam videos, but I wanted to thank you for your honesty and willingness to be open and vulnerable. God bless you, dear lady, and keep being so real! You are one of those people who make life lovely and inspiring. 😊
Margaret, your sharing makes me feel so much connection. You are beautiful through and through, with or without makeup. Your absolute sincerity and inclusion is the most beautiful of all. I am so very glad you are feeling better. ❤
My sister from another mother, I was falling apart inside until I came across your channel my journey is to long to express, outlived my two oldest, two husbands etc..., I love me now the missing teeth, the belly purge, the big feet, the flat butt etc.., because it's temporary the real me is inside & so deep/complex this world couldn't understand or accept it, with or without makeup, hairdos, fancy clothes we're beauty we're wombman who could match that. You’re amazing Margaret, I admire you so much. Rest at home and take it easy. When my mom was in the hospital with another patient in the room, I visited and knew she was not going to be here much longer…..I busted into tears and wailed. The next day they had moved my mom to a private room. I was trying to control the volume of my crying so the other patient wasn’t disturbed. 😢
Margaret ur a champion! I'm 61 and hope and pray I'll be as beautiful, vital, strong as you are when I'm your age. Truly ur a role model for all women! I just wish young women understood how much beauty in life awaits them once they're crowned with wisdom and grace at 50+! Truly the best is yet to come. Full healing and health be yours. Blessings!
I am a frequent viewer but never a commentor on your channel. Today's video invites me to share my agreement with your feelings about your illness. Last year I had surgery for a life threatening episode of diverticulitis and so am grateful for the lessons I learned. The most important one is that I hope I will never take anyone or anything for granted again. Life and all its' gifts are especially precious when you think you might lose them. Being vulnerable and having to rely on the skill and compassion of the doctors and nurses instead of always being the strong one who takes care of everyone else was a humbling but gratifying journey.
Margaret, when in the hospital, there is a realization that much of what we treasure is not I our control. Having had both knees replaced in a 5 month span in 2019, I came to truly appreciate my health and mobility. Knowing that much is out of my hands, I really committed to taking hold of what I could and be good to me, whatever that means for each of us. I was blessed with a great surgeon and staff, a fantastic outcome doing my own PT at home, and now 3 years post, I know it was the best thing I could have done. But you must give yourself the time and the grace to recover, both physically and emotionally. I don’t think I initially realized how mentally draining major surgery is. So know you are in our thoughts and prayers, and that there is a whole community of us who so appreciate you and pulling your your full recovery. Be well and be kind to you.💕💕

Usually I dream that I'm late to my shift and that I have no clean
scrubs to wear or can't find my stethescope, so unprepared in some way.
I subscribed to your channel so u would know you are never alone. I relate to that feeling. I didn’t want you to panic; it’s just me. 😀👍
Elise- "patio therapy"! I love this!! I'm definitely going to borrow that from you! Thanks! 😘❣️
@@elysianfields8461 You're welcome!
Patio therapy! Excellent idea
Good and bad, it shows me I am still here!❤️🙏🌸🌺
Thankful your getter better!
I'm glad you are going home soon. X
Oh Margaret - Thank you so much for sharing what you have gone through and how you are. You are such a sweet sensitive soul. Luv n hugs. 💕🥰
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you for video updates about your health & your kind words for everyone...Sending you Healing Prayers for your recovery & strength to continued good healthy body & spirit & soul
God Bless ❤
So sorry to hear this, how very sad. My prayers of support to you and all your family may God bless you all and ease the pain of your loss 🙏
I am so very sorry for your loss. Take as much time as you need to grieve. She will always have a place in your heart. ❤️ My sincere condolences.
So glad and relieved to see you up and out in nature! May you continue to heal fully. Thank you for allowing us to share in your vulnerability. It has made us feel even closer to you.
Hi Margaret, your video touched me, you are so kind and generous!! Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤
You have such a sweet heart and I thank you for sharing your thoughts and vulnerability with us. ❤️
Take it slow during your recovery, Margaret...It takes time to fully recover from surgery...♥
It is so nice to see you out in the bright sunlight and to hear that you are going home. Bright, sunny days always make me feel better and hopeful. Thank you for the update. Take care of yourself, allow yourself to rest and recuperate. Hugs.
Love you my friend the healing has begun!🎉 Keep the faith!!!
This is a calling‼️✅ Bless u‼️ I worked in a trauma center years ago. Truly there isn’t a higher calling than comforting peeps who are in need‼️❤️
Dear Lady, you still are beautiful without makeup🥰 So glad you are going home to be surrounded by “your” things, a comfort.
Take care.
I am new to your channel, but feel I know you for a long time! I enjoy listening to you!
Thank you and welcome! 🌺
❤🙏🙏🙏❤
So glad to hear that you are finally getting out of hospital. 2 weeks ago my husband did not walk out of the hospital, not sure what I am doing right now. Going one day at a time.
Thoughts and prayers for you and family. ❤️
You are so welcome
You look lovely Margaret! The only make up you need is the inner beauty that you are made of, and that’s on display for all to see. Keep shining! The Lord bless, strengthen and you, beloved of God.🙏🏽❤️🤗
You are a true inspiration, sending you my love and very quick recovery!!!❤
So glad that you have come through this and out the other side. Thank you for sharing not only the good time, but times that are not so grand. All the best!
So beautiful in every way! What i love the most is that Margaret is "other" oriented in what is clearly a demanding time for her. It i s also so reassuring to see her beauty in the sun, with no makeup, and just the joy of natural radiance.
Margaret, I see you and appreciate you.
Margaret, thank you for showing me how to be brave. Love you, admire you, thankful for you.
Margaret , you look beautiful to us. So glad to hear your tender thoughts and wish you all the best for days of complete comfort, ease and healing.
Thank you Margaret for your reflections, honesty, humility and love. I feel more than ever we are all connected and love spreads and heals. God bless ❤️🥰🙏
Speedy recovery Margaret . You are beautiful.
Thank you, Margaret. I hope you heal quickly and that your spirits are lifted by knowing how much you are loved. ❤
Thank you Margaret, for letting us know your progress. Whether well or not, you are an inspiration and a motivator. ❤️
:) Love ya. Kathy
Thank you for getting better.
You have given so much to others.
So nice of you - thank you!
Oh, Margret, thank you for this. My prayers are going your way.
Thank you so much!
Stay strong & cry when you need to that's part of the emotions we come with
💐🎈 Wonderful to hear you are going home! It's difficult going through the hospital ordeal but soon you will look back and realize how strong we can be when we need to muster up the strength and push through the emotional turmoil. Thank God you have so many supportive friends that are encouraging you and praying for your recovery. God bless you Margaret! Keep the Faith 🙏❣️
Look after yourself Margaret, you are such a treasure, your kind and uplifting posts help us all. Wishing you good health and happiness ❤
Dear Margaret, You look wonderful sweetie, Praying that you will have a quick and full recovery soon. Life is hard, every HEARTBEAT is a gift from God. You will enjoy many more years and will be able to share more experiences with us!!!

Margaret thank you for sharing your innermost thoughts and your physical situation. God Bless you dear Margaret ❤
Take care of you first or you cannot help any one else, love yourself up good today! All of you. All prayers and Angels to everyone.
Hello Margaret & hope you are progressing well after your operation? You look remarkably well.
Thank you so much Margaret for all that your are & all that you do for the Over 60 Community!
You are one amazing sweet & positive lady with a wonderful attitude to life.
Rest & recover well & peace be with you. 💐💕💐
Thank you so much Theresa . For those kind words. This community means the world to me and I’m so grateful that you’re here. Have a wonderful weekend.
So glad to hear you sounding so strong and resilient. Always a delight. Thanks Margaret for being there.
Thanks for the update. By the way, you are goregeous even without makeup: your goodness shines through. Hugs!
Thank you Margaret! You are glowing...so sincere and loving to us all
Margaret, when in the hospital, there is a realization that much of what we treasure is not I our control. Be well and be kind to you.💕💕
There’s nothing like that feeling when you get to go home after a few days in the hospital…enjoy!
