Yep, dealer network still sucks. Moto Guzzi dealerships come and go. The dealership owners get tired of having to deal with Piaggio. Guzzi's are strictly for riders that can wrench on their own bikes.
Where do you get a service?, easy your own garage attached to your house, Internet has all parts you need for these bikes or if not any local automotive or motorcycle repair shop. I was a 11 years of age when my father showed my how to do a oil and filter service on his dump truck. You would be shocked what i could do when I reached 18.
In the current right to repair battlefield, yes, there is a lot to be done at home but you're still beholden to the software update side through Piaggio's proprietary software that they only license to dealers. The Midwest is a bit of a black hole for support but there's an awesome eccentric dude near Kansas City who's dealt in MG for eons. Indianapolis has one, then it's over to central Kentucky. It is a gamble in the event you start having software problems (like I did) but for regular warranty service - assuming the bike runs, you just make it a day trip on the bike and plan accordingly 🤷
@roc20621 Dealer software updates are like UFO sightings, you hear a lot about them, but rarley is there any live proof showning them being done, other than the obvious ones,Bmw motorrads openly to be seen on YT who seem to have to most problems post new sales for first year. The bikes that never go back for software updates seem to cover many smooth running untroubled miles.
@checker3694 fair, I guess I saw a UFO then 🤷 Guy near Kansas City who's been in the MG business forever in this compound was fighting with the software, talking on the phone with the literal one support tech (who he obviously knew super well at this point) as I watched the whole service since, well, that's how he rolls. Pretty cool experience tbh, even got a tour of his insane collection - rare bikes doesn't even begin to explain... All that to say- I'm just speaking from experience man 🤷
Where do you get service on a guzzi in middle America. 🤷♂️ I had one and parts/service were a nightmare.
