Totally agree with you. Hua Hua is more than just singing, he always gives you a perfect performance. His movements are so free to follow his mood. It's really natural and pleasing to the eye. In my opinion that is more attractive than pre-arranged dance. This song originally had only musical introduction and he adapted it into a brand new song within 24 hours. I love his powerful energy permeating the whole song. There is no denying that he is a musical genius

Thank you for reacting to the master storyteller Hua Chenyu again!🌸🌸 This 1st version of Equal to Heaven (from The Next) is amazing, because he composed, arranged, and memorized it in only 24 hours!! Most people react to the very different 2nd version, "Qi Tian" (Singer 2018), adjusted to fit the mood of a new movie as its theme song. You could react to it next for comparison, while this one is fresh in your mind.👍🥰

Hello Valerie, very much enjoyed your reaction and comments about this performance, it's so mind boggling that HuaHua composed this song in just 24 hours, it went immediately viral. He's so relax, he even played with his ring, in the first part of the song the ring is on the medium finger, at the end it's on the ring finger hahaha... HuaHua really shone as a composer in The Next, he was challenged with rearranging all kinds of songs, sometimes even kind of impossible songs, because he almost won all his challenges, leaving no chances to the challengers. There's lots of gems, among my favorites there's "Heaven", Hua was challenged to rearrange this song from Tenggri and he came up with such a beautiful version, a totally different Heaven, peaceful and serene compared to Tengri's raw and angry original version. Hope you can react to it, thank you, take care! (Shared on FB group Hua Chenyu Foreign Martians)

I LOVE Hua Hua, he is GREAT, SUPER TALENTED AND ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS IN CHINA! HOWEVER, I’ve seen a lot of other fans of Hua Hua saying Hua Hua is the greatest artist ever, even superior to Beethoven himself lol! I COMPLETELY DISAGREE! As much as I LOVE Hua Hua, he is MOST DEFINITELY NOT the best artist ever. I’m not a hater guys, I LOVE him, I am also one of his fans, but I know he still has much to learn, and I want to be his guard to support him through his journey to greatness. As fans of Hua Hua, we sure need to support and love him ❤️, but we still need to be rational. And together, we will help him become greater than ever.

A little background on this song....this is from the Chinese TV show called "The Next". "The Next" was a singing competition show where amateur singers could come on the show and challenge well established professional singers to a sing off. The amateur singers could sing whatever they wanted to but the professionals had a handicap in that they had to take a piece of a song (not of their choosing) and turn it into a full song that fit their style. In this particular case, Hua Hua was challenged by a amateur rapper and the song he was given as his handicap was about 30 seconds long and was an instrumental opening from a TV show from back in the 90's (hence the 90's sound that his final version had). He had 24 hours to rearrange that 30 seconds into a complete song and it needed to have vocals as well but the vocals did not have to have anything to do with the original TV show. There was more than one time on that show where Hua Hua needed the full 24 hours to come up with vocals and rearrange the music to create a complete song and this was one of those times. He did not have a lot of time to rehearse the song with the band and only got in about an hour of rehearsal time to ensure that the band and the background singers knew what he wanted before the show started. This background is important because once you know that then you can really appreciate his musical genius. As with quite a few of his amazing rearrangements that came out of that show, this one is really amazing strictly because he did all of this in 24 hours. Other notable performances from "The Next" would be, "My Skateboard Shoes", "Code Name Contra" (where he had to take the computer generated music from an 80's video game and turn it into a song), and "Nanping Evening Bell" which was a duet he sang with Juno Su who was one of the amateur contestants that won their challenge and chose Hua Hua to be her mentor for the rest of the competition. The duet was part of the finals which Juno Su ended up winning in large part due to the amazing spin Hua Hua put on that song when he rearranged it for their duet.

Thank you for reacting to Hua Chenyu! I absolutely love this singer! He has another song with a similar name - just Equal To Heaven (here it is with English subtitles: ua-cam.com/video/K1vOWnWzABY/v-deo.html) which is also composed by him, but has a totally different feeling. In Chinese mythology the famous Monkey King was called "Great Sage Equal To Heaven". Both songs are dedicated to the story of this mythological character. The one you reacted to is from the Next show, where Hua was given an intro tune from the famous Monkey King TV series. He rearranged (actually composed) it in 24 hours and added lyrics to transform it into an explosive rap/rock song. The other song (called just Equal To Heaven) he composed as the theme song for the movie Wukong. It is more philosophical and my personal favourite :) Looking forward to your next reaction! Greetings from Bulgaria!

This was one of my favorite shows (The Next). Everyone has explained what he had to do. The young man they show intermittently is a challenger/rapper from Taiwan. Bopped over to challenge the Best Singer in the World!! Gutsy kid.
To listen to HuaHua describe octave changes for the effect in his listeners is so fun and demonstrates the vast knowledge he has of composing. When the teachers on SuperBoy said they wanted to create music producers or directors, they weren't kidding. The Russian documentary on that show is very informative about Hua Chenyu's philosophy of music and life. How he is not influenced by outside social factors as the other contestants. He felt it was painful for the contestants to be treated as they were, but he seemed so outside of that. Very sensitive to it, however. His Father used the term autistic. Not sure if that fits, but HuaHua's thoughts on just being and doing who you are is very inspirational.
Thank you for airing this!! 😎😍🤗

Hua Chenyu is great, but is he the best singer in the world? Hell no... A lot of singers are greater than him. But don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Hua Chenyu, but saying he is the best singer in the world is just... unrealistic. 我爱华晨宇,我尊敬他,他是天才,中国的音乐大魔王,*但*他不是世上最好的歌手谢谢。

I'm talking about something created philosophically with his songs. Dimash is better technically, other singers can sing other ways. All I'm talking about is that, for me, he is the Best Singer because his songs have a direction, a connection to each other. Listening to singing for 70 years. Loved the Beatles, the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Dylan, on and on. But it all came across as boring, in the end. Girl loses boy, drugs, boy loves girl, no connection to a larger story. I love Park Kiyoung out of So Korea. Love Zhou Shen. I'm just looking for musical artistry of a bit higher caliber. You can argue til the cows come home who is Best, but for for me, he pulls something out of music I have never heard. At least in the popular genre. Pu Shu is my second favorite. Sorry to offend you and your favorites, not my intention at all. I just have a different search going on which doesn't simply stop at technicality. The very best to you this year! 🤗

@@acebilbo If we’re talking about philosophically songs or songs have great meanings or songs that everyone can relate to, Freddie Mercury (Bohemian Rhapsody, literally one of the best philosophically songs ever created) and Michael Jackson (Heal the World about anti-war and violence, We Are The World about everyone’s the same and help those children who are poor, Black or White about anti-racism, Man in the Mirror about self-reflection, Can You Feel It about global harmony) can both take the crown (If we’re talking about vocal techniques then they can also take the crown). Hua Chenyu sure has some great philosophically songs and songs that have great meanings, but that does not make him the best singer, and he is certainly not the only one who has great philosophically songs and songs that have great meanings.

What's that? Maybe you can't say it on YT.? I understand Freddie Mercury's brilliance, and Michael Jackson's, but I think it is Hua Chenyu's being raised without peer approval or familial connections. There is something flawed with subsuming our innate creativity because of the pressure to conform. When he talked in the Russian documentary about how nature just is without needing those smiles and nods of approval (my interpretation) from family and friends. Most children might not survive that very well. I don't think Michael or Freddie were helped by their upbringing. Perhaps if they could have just been left alone to grow in Nature, they might have survived. Both brilliant, loved some of their songs, but was not drawn to listening to them. So much creativity lost in their fight to survive.
Enjoying this conversation. It is helping me to understand what Hua Chenyu is about for me. Perhaps it is his voice when speaking, or his laugh. So many laughs do not come from the belly, but only from the throat. His seems genuine or real.
I think child-rearing needs some serious reappraisal. Too much spoiling, but don't need suppression. Kaffe Fassett as a child was allowed to run loose, and his creativity is phenomenal. There is something in between to create a better world. Thank you.

Hua has so many great performances including duets from this show "The Next". Side note about dancing, Hua does not like to dance, but when pushed to do so he does well. I personally like his relaxed "dance" moves that are not others as you will see in few of his performances. "Madhouse" from his Mars concert 2019 is a great example of his fun quirky moves.
