....with many thanks to UA-cam...I have found another brother out there...what a magnificent family that we are...now I don`t feel so alone anymore..pure guitar sound..no whizzzbangery sound effect gadgets...just natural music..how wonderful..(WORD)..!!
Such a lovely and tender reading of a beautiful song deserves to be heard. I'm so happy to have found this. My compliments to the Quartet!!!Well done by all.
You know... I think that Gonzalo has developed a good tone. I am a huuuuge fan of Stochelo's tone. I am a huge believer that its all about the pick and/or fingers, and the strings you use that give you a good tone, the instrument is just icing on top of the cake...
Everytime I see Gonzalo, he seems improved. He's definitely got a nice tone and some nice music happening. His latin influence is a nice touch as well.
I'm also thinking that Stochelo is the best, and after him i put Angelo D'barre, but from these videos i must note that Gonzalo is douing wonderfull job, with the way of his playing.
This is not his channel so I doubt he will see this. Try your luck with GBQuartet instead. I don't think he will be able to respond but it might be worth a shot.
@assa123assa123 A buddy of mine also hates the tone of the gypsy guitars, He's a long time D28 junkie, and while it's true that they don't have the bottom end of dreadnaught, and the tone is nasally, they have the cutting power that is indispensible when you're in a circle with several guitars chunking out rhythm loud. They are a joy to play, because the long scale gives you big volume from relatively light guage strings -- and, of course, they make you look like Django!
@caseyspaos Interesting -- Someone could probably do a Master's Thesis on guitar player's facial expressions -- but if you want to see real AGONY check out the faces that Polish two-hand tapping master ADAM FULARA makes while playing the Godberg Variations on a double neck!

the melody being played in unison ( guitar and clarinet) is beautiful.

Hi Gonzalo,

Dennis? Can you tell me the type of that mic in the guitar of Gonzalo?
Thanks!
Ákos

c pas du mode bourrin et ca c cool !!!!
@GuitarManz117 That fucking hilarious -- and probably true.
why do they stick to those guitars? only to look like.. you know the name?
they sound rather harsh and probably a pain to play
@JimmyDeLocke Now that's a good explanation )
