@@luuchoo93 have you been to stadiums in LA? How are they outdated? They’re literally always constantly being remodeled and redone along with some being built since the late 90s which isn’t outdated at all. LA got a new stadium just for some teams they didn’t want to begin with, why build a stadium in a rundown area of LA for two teams LA cares little to nothing about?
@@mr.anderson2241 Maybe because investing big in a rundown area brings money, jobs and economic growth to said area in need? I have been to two events here now. We went to the Rams/ Chargers preseason game last night and it was a bit scary to say the least, traffic into and out of the stadium was atrocious. They had better get their act together before any real big events take place there. Once I turned off of the main street into the parking lot, it took one hour to get into the parking lot (about a 150 yard long drive) and the cheapest parking spot for the preseason game cost me $125. They have said that the regular season games will a lot more (double i was told) pair that with ridiculously expensive ticket prices means I will most likely not attend any future events. For 4 tickets in the upper decks (nosebleed seats) and parking can cost cost around $500-$750.... How can a typical fan afford that ?
They can't. It's not built for anyone expect the wealthy foreigners who have been buying up real estate in California for years and, of course, shoving the further residents into the streets on short notice, contributing to the bad homelessness problem.
@@PhoenixProdLLC You are not correct, It is not built for "foreigner's" It was built by the owner of the LA Rams with his own money. There were no public funds used at all for the stadium (please do the research). While true the average person would be hard pressed to be able to afford going to a game because of the cost to do so. Another thing is that no person was displaced to build the stadium, it was built at the site of the old Hollywood Park horse racing track. In addition, the owner is building apartment's and condo's and has revitalized the entire shopping area (see the comments of the mayor of Inglewood where the stadium is located). Not to mention that the LA Clippers are building their new how arena very close to the location of SoFi Stadium. While homelessness is a major problem, the stadium and its construction did nothing to cause or increase the situation. It has actually brought new jobs to an area that welcomes them...
Watch the reviews and testimonials, a lot of average or middle class people can afford it. I personally don’t know the prices of tickets but many locals are attending my the games and events there so maybe it’s because it had just opened that the prices were ridiculous and especially now with a Super Bowl trophy there, it might go up more however I’m sure they can’t be too expensive that an average fan couldn’t afford them.
Im not sure of the exact numbers but reading around, the stadium itself is about $2.5 -- $3 billion dollars. The rest of $5B is for everything else including office buildings, retail, restaurants/bars, hotels, and 1000s of new housing, plus the lake/park. I think they are waiting for the stadium to be finished first before building the rest in stages. Because it is under LAX plane path, the buildings will be kept mid rise but It would have been great to see high rises overlooking the stadium. Not sure if it is the same as other stadiums, but this stadium is going to provide year round use with two teams using it, plus many large concerts. Taylor Swift was supposed to open in July but Covid changed that. But at least WWE, FiFa, and the Olympics are other things to look forward in the future.

👍🏼 Very Well done video, many good points but yet two points absolutely incorrect. 1, the original olympic coliseum is actually completely up to date with tech. It was recently torn back to its skin and completely restored with state of the art technology while restoring its original appearance. This definitely is worthy of it own video. This was completely in 2019. 2, the landscaping is poignant because it very intentionally represents the four diverse landscapes of California. From desert to topical, it ONLY contains native plantings. ( Yes there’s the argument for Palm Trees) it absolutely is not meant to represent any other place in the world. 3, not necessarily wrong, but never the less, it technically doesn’t have a roof because it doesn’t actually touch the stadium. It is referred to as the Canopy. Which protects the side canyon, AA Plaza, the unnamed 6k seat performance venue as well as the stadium. Even so, wonderful Video.
So I would just like to know why this video has footage from my UA-cam video at 1:372:062:17 and 2:31 because I do not remember ever giving this channel any permission to use my content. The first instance of my content appearing in this video is literraly showing me in the video.

@@homersimpson3434 SoFi is going to host World Cups. Can't say the same with Tottenham hosting NFL games! Just imagine 100,000 seated capacity for that vs 63,000 for Tottenham. Plus you have a beautiful giant video board to watch from inside if you can't see down on the field.
The Mercedes Bens Stadium finally has a run for its money, I think both are architecturally amazing tho, but The Mercedes stadium does have a fully retractable roof considering here in Georgia the weather fluctuates massively.

Love this. LA needed a stadium like this. It’s the 2nd largest city in the country and the 3rd richest metropolitan area in the world. About time
Wdym they needed it lmao, they didn’t need it at all, the LA sports market is over saturated to hell and didn’t even need the stadium or the teams that came with it.
@@mr.anderson2241 LA is the 2nd largest city in the country, and most existing stadiums are outdated, with the exception of Staples Center. Most major cities around the world regularly build modern venues, why wouldn’t LA do the same?
@@luuchoo93 have you been to stadiums in LA? How are they outdated? They’re literally always constantly being remodeled and redone along with some being built since the late 90s which isn’t outdated at all. LA got a new stadium just for some teams they didn’t want to begin with, why build a stadium in a rundown area of LA for two teams LA cares little to nothing about?
@@mr.anderson2241 Maybe because investing big in a rundown area brings money, jobs and economic growth to said area in need? Maybe because it’s still a huge city with millions of locals and tourists, many of which won’t miss a chance to visit the new stadium? Maybe because LA needs to stand out internationally against other major cities, and wants to give a good impression for the coming World Cup? There are many reasons why this is a great choice. Building new and modern is always good.
@@luuchoo93 you’re blindly optimistic over some stadium that 95% of all people in Los Angeles don’t care about. Are you even from LA? You’re talking about it like some third person perspective on it

Makes me wanna visit LA. I love that place.
As a native Angeleno, come. You're more than welcome to visit LA and hope that when you do come, enjoy it. Not only the stadium but the whole city.
Yes lots of homeless people, drugs, and trash everywhere. I live and grew up here. its not as great as it once was.
Yeah True and Las vegas as well
I have been to two events here now.
Appears to be a magnificant place, with still more building described by a commenter perhaps additional parking concepts might be considered.

Unfortunately no one will be around to keep those seats warm
The Rams could be Portland bound in 10-15 years.
After an investment this big, there’s 0 chance they move out
@@RCmack after paying for a $5 bil stadium I don't think so. Even the Chargers are likely staying here for at least 20 years.
No one with any money. The surrounding area is already an overcrowded slum. This is very close to where the riots started.
Us Rams fans will keep it warm once we’re allowed too 🙌
Im not sure of the exact numbers but reading around, the stadium itself is about $2.5 -- $3 billion dollars.

This is so amazing. Greetings from Germany
Germany. As someone who lived in this city all their lives. Its a useless thing that will make my city congested with traffic and homeless will be even more prominent. Its a piece of garbage. They charge us for public parking because of this stadium.
Everywhere else public parking is free but the city charges us 100 dollars per parking permit. Most houses have 4+ cars. They just want more money frome civilians

Hope to see your national football/soccer team play here in 2026 World Cup

Agree with the palm trees 🌴
And it rained inside during the 2023 NCAA National Championship football game! RIDICULOUS!

Not on the inside it doesn't.. Allegiant interior doesn't compare not even close
Only from the outside Allegiant looks better.Sofi looks better from inside.
Your crazy. Allegiant stadium looks like a toilet bowl or a rumba. Take your pick.
@Weapon X What a comeback. We don’t need natural grass because we have a canopy like over hang. We get the breeze and Cali sun. Best of both worlds. If your insinuating us LA fans are high maintenance, your damn right. It’s Hollywood, Sofi has all the bells and whistles and way better than allegiant stadium hands down.
This is why Arsenal haven’t won the league since 03/04 😂
