The “f- it we Bhaal” ending.
🤣🤣🤣
I wish the Dark Urge would've said that in the end.
When Bhaal is life
Bhaalin'. But at what cost?

Naturally, they're not mind controlled all the time, but getting so many adventurers to pose for a group photo isn't as easy as you think. They'll forgive me later.
@@ogito999 the text isn't green... pathetic lol...
In mine playthrouth Minthara was more like "Take this power mine love" before choosing and after I killed Emperor she said "You are the glorius as you can ever be mine love"

I do like how for any other character they say "In my name", but when you are The Dark Urge, you say "In Bhaal's name." It's a nice bit of consistency.
Not quite. If you played a redeemed Dark Urge it still says "In my name".
@@atheist45 Well, in that case you have turned your back on Bhaal, so it makes sense to say "In my name" in that instance. So, it's still consistent.
I like how the default race for Durge is A white Dragonborn. For those that do not know white dragon’s are the most feral of dragon kind in DND. Which is fitting considering how vile he is.
"In Bhaal's Name"
Fucking hell, the shivers.
The voice acting in this game is just incredibly good - and i've long waited for proper voiced protagonist. I love this so much.
But he's not voiced lol
Honestly I prefer the original version more. "In MY name" feels so dark
I thought the one in this video was pretty weak, I did this with the last female voice option on my high elf and it sounded super evil
@@Jaredskoll Same with mine, sounded far more sinister
“In Balls name”
This is actually the success of the initial plan, by its initial inventor. Durge started all of it, with this exact ending in mind.
He lost his way for a while but by this point, you *are* the big bad winning and completing his master plan.
Probably the canon ending
@@greyngreyer5 Can't really be the canon ending, since in this ending the entire world dies. Conquering the world with the Absolute was only half the plan, the second half was to kill all living beings in the name of Bhaal.
@@justinlee790 Not really. The Absolute can't really match the gods' power. The world won't "die". At best, Bhaal will become a bit more powerful. And gods will be allowed to retake Toril because Ao will see the Absolute as threatening his balance (eternals having Abeir and gods having Toril). In essence, it's just another time of troubles.
@@greyngreyer5
Based on the sneak peek that will expand on this ending... yeah, Durge managed to kill everyone.
So In this ending you brainwash your own companions and conquer the world in your father’s name? Cool!
It's literally the exact same ending as the other one, except instead of saying "In my name" it says "In Bhaal's name". Larian really skimped with the endings ngl

And it always will be so. The thing is, ANY sort of violent death strengthens Bhaal, even killing the goblins who came to pillage and burn in the first place. At least 5e lore seems to say so, which kinda makes sense
Talk about the' long con game ' of Bhaal..he was a mortal who assassinated his way to Godhood..before being greatly reduced in Power by Bane Reborn ( re: Forgotten Realms lore ).

This ending is strangely satisfying, watching complete chaos unfold.

Even in my most evil playthroughs I will always kill Raphael, because I would never see myself as his loser.
Took twice as long to finish him as it takes Haarlep to finish him.
I found this last cinematic a bit underwhelming. Loved playing as the Dark Urge though !
It wasnt about the ending. It was about the slaves we made along the way.
I feel like the "be evil until the end and resist" is more, creepy tbh. *Spoiler* so essentially you swim out of the harbor and talk to your companions, after (Shadowhart for me, maybe due to romance) asks what we should do next, my character said time for a celebration, then as we all go off, my character feels pain and the red blood tears form around him in that old familiar circle, he puts his head up after being on the ground for a bit with the glowing red eyes and smiles with dagger in hand as he walks off into the ruined alley way, essentially what I got out of that is you defied Bhaal and as Punishment he took you over and is now freely gonna use you to murder people/restart his cult in Baldurs Gate. I thought that was wayyyyy more dark, but then again his Spawn using an alien brain to go through the galaxy and raid and murder in his name is pretty much up his alley too.
@@nataliaofthenightlords I had a similar ending, but i chose to kill myself. The funny part was afterwards I was still able to comfort Karlach as she blew up lol
In another ending variation the Emperor hints that the war would be of galactic scale against the entire githyanki army and it would be complicated to model.
When he said "In balls name" I really felt it.
He will cock and ball torture the whole world.
this was so satisfying to complete, I ended up freeing Orpheus and make him become the mind flayer to control the absolute but the murder was just the same if not more brutal. I love how Larain brought so much attention to an evil character that didnt make you feel empty. I havent done the good ending yet but I think it will be just as good
Seeing Shadowheart fist pump made me giggle a little. Lol
Larian really needs to redo the final act cutscene, but I know its not there yet because so many people never make it to act 3 let alone finishing the game
Really not many finishes the game
The third act does a really fantastic of making you just want to restart the game. And it's only because they wanted to outshine StarField. Or that was their excuse anyways. I call BS. They dropped an extremely unpolished dog turd, and they probably won't bother fixing it last what they already have done, because of all the people that felate them.
Honestly... I would like an option to take over the brain, but plan to use it for future slaughter after the things have rebuilt from the mess Orin made of the plan. It would be nice to see how Dark Urge's victory is received by the companions that would support him ( or got an ending where they might not be as concerned with what he will do in the future with his power). It really kind of sucks to put in all the work for an evil run just to have everyone turned into thralls
Im glad they let you do real evil in this game it feels more satisfying choosing good when you know what you deny
The only goal I really wanted was to rule the world with minthara by my side and my team, as everybody had agreed and was REALLY on board with this plan previously. instead astarion and the emperor were like "wtf are you doing", minthara was cool about it and then you mind control them for some reason?
And nothing that says what really happened afterwards? Even with some text i would ve satisfied instead I dont even know why I mind controlled my team
I mean duh, with the emperor dead and you in control over the Elder Brain the Tadpoles take full control of their hosts and everyone who isn't infected will probably get slaughtered.
That’s the ending I got, though I was a mind flayer in it
It's possible to dark urge becomes mind flayer ?
@@cheshire3914 Yes it is
This ending looks badass but I can't shake the feeling that the EvilMegaBrain is mind controlling the PC too and they just THINK they've won, and Bhaal is all like "You had ONE job!"👿
Nah mate the brain told us we needed to break the hold of one of the stones to free it. Now we hold the 3 stones and enslaved it when it was weak unless someone manage to grab one of the stone we have full control over it
@@KingGubz I'm sorry to contradict you,
But if you do this ending, the brain controls you through the tadpole.
From the beginning you are their Grand Design. Gortash, Oran and Ketheric are the problem of the elder brain and force you to kill them from the beginning.
If you don't kill the mind flayers, nothing will stop them from reproducing and achieving the GRAND DESIGN.
I don't think Bhaal wanted that; in fact, I don't even think Bhaal wants his son to be alive, because otherwise he can't be reborn.
@@RuneFreak noooo, noooooooooo, sarrr, the crown and stones DO provide control... the brain just *let* them control it... sarrr please understand; whoever the mindflayer is that re-controls the brain, assumes direct control. it is a ludicrous proposition to assume otherwise. if it were in control, why would it follow the order to kill itself? poopcock, I say.
@@RuneFreak ....where is this even implied?
@@scorpiowarrior7841 The lore of Bhaal is implied in BG1, 2.
The Netherbrain thing is implicit in this same game. If you access it from Moonrise tower and let yourself be trapped, it tells you so itself. Also in the depths of Moonrise Tower you can find an illicit machine that only you can activate.
And when you activate it, they show you the illicit sculpture and the wall of the grand design and you feel attracted and you understand what it is, but only you, the others do not feel anything.
This is all optional, I can understand why some people haven't seen it, this game is immensely great.
There is only one lord of the Netherbrain. Only one who can bend it to his will. And he does not share power.
Daw dark urge actually thinks of his companions as friends :v
On my first playthrough as the dark urge. I took the majority of the pro Bhaal choices and I didn't get two options. I only ever got the kill option and burn the world option. Not that I mind given that's what I wanted.
I wonder if for the next game or dlc they have two routes to choose from? Like you can start at apocalypse baulder gate taken over by bhal and mind flayers or safe baulder gate?
Glorious
0:25 idc what anyone says, that’s a salute
Ao looking down and seeing bhaal having WAY too much influence: “well, we can’t have that” *snaps fingers*
Nah. It's still not as grave as it was during the time of troubles. He might let Shar intervene, though.

Dark Urge really hit the “We end as we begin”
I love the evil endings in this game.
I found it underwhelming honestly, compared to every other ending the bhaal one is one line short, you control your party you sit on the throne and you say a one liner and boom, the end
@@apeon8136
Yeah... very underwhelming.
Imagine there's an epilogue where Elminster shows up and just smacks the brain and it dies.
It can't die that way though. Essentially it's a god and would require a god to kill it
@@greyngreyer5 It doesn't become any more unkillable after Durge controls it. Someone would just have to kill Durge.
Either way, Bhaal's reign probably wouldn't last long. Other gods more powerful than Bhaal would step in before Durge slaughtered most of Faerun.
@@clayton2511 Several ways divine intervention stops this. Thing is... it won't happen. Ao wouldn't consider this as upsetting the balance at all.
I was kind of sad it wasn't possible to rule WITH your companions. Especially since you can have many conversations about it. It's the same when you convince the Emperor not to destroy the brain. He'll just dominate you along with the rest...
absolute power corrupts absolutely
Gales golf clap at the end 🤣
When I reached this ending I didn't mind control my group and Minthara was so excited about it she almost gave me another round 😆 killing the emperor like that was kinda cruel tho cause the story wants to make us think that he would betray Tav but he never does 😭
Kinda... underwhelming... after all the terrible things I made myself do for the sake of the Durge playthrough I hoped I'd see the fruits of my labours. Cities on fire, mountains of dead, that kind of thing.
I see Bhaal as my ultimate enemy. I am glad to see this here, im sure ill never be able to get this trophy...
I need to return to this game and start a fresh solo Dark Urge playthrough, slaughtering everyone and everything I can. No survivors. Just the Urge.
I think a half orc barbarian would be fitting this time.
I'm playing a duergar barbarian with the "Toxic Elf Gang". Gale gave me a hand, Wyll killed Karlach for the robes, then I sacrificed Wyll to Boo-al to give me, Astarion and Shadowheart advantage against bleeding enemies, sacrificed Lae'zal to the urge because there were things I still wanted to buy at last light, recruited Minthara. It's kind of oddly positive how supportive Minthara is, she sounded downright proud when Shadowheart became a full Chosen of Shar.
I loved when he said: "It's Bhaalin' time !"
If I'm not mistaken, Baahl wants to seize control of one his spawn once they become strong enough, right?
So in this scenario, Baahl probably would take control of the players body, not much after the player gains control of the Elder Brain, anybody else has thought about this ? 😅🤔
Nah he can off you instantly if you reject him, so it’s more like oh hell do the dirty work for me, but it’ll count as if I did it
Originally, yes, this is sorta how it was supposed to work. The Bhaalspawn worked like the immortals in Highlander, where as they died the remaining ones kept getting stronger. When one was left standing, they would become Bhaal reborn.
kinda, you have to consider the fact that Dark Urge is the purest child of Bhaal, literally a clone of him, so in the end it makes sense
@@catoonzDidn't Bhaal nut on a "killing moon" or something. Raphael hinted at the event when you first meet him.
And what did it cost? “Everything”
Here before the goofy ahh evil ending cutscenes are gone forever.
When you romance Minthara she says to you "You a glorius mine love. You were never more beautiful" and she is the only one who is not being controled. She just smiles to you with evil grind just as you are and stand beside you when you are siting on your throne

Tbh, I played evil Durge first. Wanted to go full common sense evil. About 15 or 20 hours in, I started a good guy play through. After about 10 hours switched back to Durge until the end. It was phenomenal. I could not get enough of it. Gave me the chance to play my good guy and feel like I was playing a whole new game with so many more options opened to me that I closed immediately through my Durge, Balasar. I will say though, I absolutely love games that let you be truly evil (so tired of the typical good guy trope) so that play through pulls through as my favorite.
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays as Durga sits on the throne?
I got this ending where I was not a dark urge. So instead my tav said “In my name……” which I think was max cool because my entire playthrough was around my tav getting stronger by any means possible!
Always remember to do the bad playtrough first then play as good guy in next so you can feel you did something good even more.
