Thank you for your comment. Wool throws or blankets can all be washed using the same method (check the manufacturer's label of course). At The British Blanket Company, we sell machine washable blankets and throws of all sizes, from small armchair throws right up to XL blankets for king size beds.
Consumers Report says some washing up liquids are better than special wool detergents. Palm live was one. I have also used Dawn without any problems. They are probably not recommended for High Energy Efficient washing machines.
Hi Aneta, thank you for your comment. Your blanket will become more flexible again with use. We don't recommend using fabric softeners when washing wool blankets as they leave a residue that can clog the fibres, making felting and pilling more likely. Hope this helps?

I have a wool fur mattress liner. It will be too watery and too heavy to handle it without spin 😢

That looks like a wool throw rather than a blanket. Much smaller, much easier than a blanket.

hey , got one of you blanket and partner washed it so its really hard. Any way to soften it again ?
