Nice one. I would also challenge anyone who might suggest that there is no harm in 'just a little tug' to post a video of themselves demonstrating this on any adult human, and see how long it takes for the police to be at their door. Dogs are not so different to us. Coersion may work but does not demonstrate anything more than heartlessness. Communication is an art to be mastered.

Just curious-- what are your thoughts on martingale collars?

I think they should be used under very limited conditions for dogs whose necks are wider than their heads. They should never be used as "half choke/check" chains

Thanks. I have a 15 week WCS and I love my puppy I will only use positive lead training. I will not inflict any pain on my chap. I hope I can teach him everything in a positive way. Again thanks

You have worked with dogs for 12 years and never learned to use a slip correctly. Sad

17 years now and I know how to use them. You realise it's a nose and don't use it anywhere for training your dog.
What you might be confused about is that there are some places where it can be used outwith training. Do you know what that it? Sad.
