I absolutely love how the figure looks, but I was genuinely pissed that there was no peg on the cape when I opened him up.

I like that the new Strange has the molded in necklace vs the fee hanging one that moves around and can get lost. Plus new Strange face looks thinner. More like actor.
So funny, I far prefer the Multiverse of Madness version. To each their own I guess
I do too, based on the outfit. I prefer this very dr strange outfit over the more generic jedi style outfit of nwh.
The new one looks more Benedict Cumberbatch while the NWH one looks more Doctor Strange
I loved that this new doctor strange cape is way different than the original from the 10th anniversary mcu figure this time taking its inspiration on the zombie hunter spider man cape where it does not have a peg on its back instead it just slides on and off for easy removal something that has not been done before in a cape like this.
The removal may be easier, but it doesn't look nearly as good on the figure as a result.

This is an interesting figure as NWH Strange is still obtainable. I'm not in a rush to replace him. Then you got that Defender Strange as well.
MCU Strange is really a character that needs a fabric based body or thin separated plastic parts. He's not designed to be a tight fitting superhero like Spider-man or Captain America.
Really Hasbro could have take artistic liberty and split up the skirt so it would move with the legs.
Should have been one with an upper torso on a ball joint as opposed to a forward ab crunch(if that's the best they could do).

I think the new figure looks good.
All new sculpt and Painless legs? Yes. The skirt hinders, but that skirt is part of the Strange aesthetic. He’s look odd without it.
I like removable cape.

The best one is definitely the No way Home version ,sucks that this newer version has no peg for the Cloak . Picked the new one at Target and thought mine had a defect with the lack of a peg . I used a clear rubber band to keep the cloak in place , works for now .
I dont know if you have seen but Benedict got more muscular for the movie, so it’s not wrong he looks bulkier
The sculp is unique because he's getting a new costume in the MoM. Also, they likely used the same sculpt for the body of the Defender Doctor Strange figure.
I actually prefer this figure to the older ones, his face looks more like Benedict and he has better articulation. I will need to fix the bottom half of the tunic, but overall, I think it's pretty solid.
For me I kinda lean more towards the multiverse of madness legends as my favorite. I overall love the new look for his costume, it has many similarities to his comic counterpart. Also I feel like this is a more unique looking suit as well.
I really like this new one. Glad to finally be rid of the baggy pants that were too big and bulky. Also nice to have the ab crunch and pinless joints.
NWH is the clear winner. I dont like the glued on Eye of Agamoto and the weird anatomy breaking ab-crunch. They should have kept the ball joint at the waist. Also why cant hasbro layer the rubbery pieces? Or do a softgoods lower half? Black series can do it.
It would be nice if Hasbro gave us cloth cloaks/capes with some wires inside or at least a magnet to keep some of the plastic ones on. Pegs i do not hate either, but at least add something to keep it in the right place. Other than that great figure, passed on the No Way Home Strange, way too similar to the first Strange, but this one looks great and is a new costume.

I'm sticking with my *_No Way Home_* Doctor Strange figure but I do want to get this new one mainly for my little stepsister due to her absolutely loving Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
It’ll take some modifying with the skirt but it doesn’t look like a bad figure. I’m sure with some heat you could fit the cloak on his shoulders better.
Think a nice cut along both sides would make it work?

My only issues with this figure is the cape, but I guess you can heat it up, and the amount of leg movement from the skirt peice. Other than that I really like this new one
1. you can cut at least *5 slits around skirt with a knife or scissor* for enhanced leg movement, but only if you can sacrifice tearing your figure in pieces for *better articulation.*
2. custom CLOTH cape with *bendy wires,* bruh! 🤣
This upper torso looks like the upcoming Defender Strange, could be why there's no peg hole on the back.
To be honest i really like the new doctor strange figure and the new look couse i grew up with the classic look for doctor strange from the comics and i like the multiverse of madness look couse its going back to the classic look but still i like both the new figure and the no way home figure but still great review

What about a head swap? If you put NWH head onto the new strange from Multiverse of madness. Maybe that can work?
I feel like the goatee isn’t dark enough. It looks really faded on camera. Might have to go over it with some darker paint
I was so excited when the NWH wave had an updates Doctor Strange because he was one of the figures I needed in my collection and it fits perfect with the rest of the figures I have (I mostly have MCU characters that have Infinity War/ Endgame looks).

Kind of weird having pin-less knees and then still using the plastic for the skirt to restrict his movement. Hasbro needs to start doing soft goods for certain characters that wears long ropes or capes. Not sure why they do it for Black Series and not for other lines. I just feel that the capes for the Dr Stranges looks strange ( haha pun intended ).
Much prefer the U ab crunch if they do ab crunchs. The n ab crunch stands out way too much, theres a hard seperation line on his torso
I was going to skip the No Way Home one as new we would be getting another with Doctor Strange 2 coming but I’m so glad I didn’t . The Now Way Home version is far better and one of the best in my collection

It kinda makes sense that doctor strange doesn’t have a set of fist hands because he never fist fights. That would probably be painful for him even with magic

My favorite Doctor Strange figures would have to be the Doctor Strange figure from the Dormammu baf wave and the recent Doctor Strange figure from the Spider-Man No Way Home wave.

I recommend that you buy Doctor Strange from the new film because in sculpting it is the best and it is also a new version

I don’t know why I get the feeling they’re gonna make the same doctor strange figure for multiverse of madness but with the same cape we were used to with it attached to the back instead of the cape that’s really lose and barely stays on

The no way home one seems way better to me which is a shame since i really like the new suit. I would like those new hands but not worth to pay the figure just for that.

NWH version is the best Dr. Strange. Im completely over the Marvel Legends ab crunches.

Lol I get everyone have different opinion but I agree with you the NWH is better overall.
Objectively if you put both figures side by side and tell someone who doesn't know anything about dr.strange and ask them which one looks better and more expensive those people are going to point out that the dr.strange from NWH for the simple fact that the finish whatever be it the texture of the suit, the shape of the cape, etc makes it look much better.
Like I get some people like more comics accurate figure but the way they did the new dr.strange is just inferior to the NWH in every way in terms of figure. Still a good figure though but I just don’t see how in terms of figure ignoring the different suits design the new one is better than the old one.

Disappointed with this figure. When they announced this figure, i was conflicted on buying it since I love the new costume, but I already got NWH Strange. I’m going to pass on this, the cape, head Sculpt, and ab crunch, are such a dealbreaker

So glad this Doctor Strange didn't cine with a BAF piece. I skipped him and saved money on the Wave. I have the NWH version and the Astrial form from this Rintrah wave which was actually better than I thought. I order the SHF for the cloth cape and will grab the classic version. I'm burned out on Doctor Strange.

a word of warning to anyone trying to glue the cape on so it won't keep falling off: DONT DO IT. It does NOT work at all, and it ruined the figure for me. I probably should've thought it through a bit more, but at least now I get to warn others of my mistake lol

the only issue i have with this figure is the lighter color on the beard, and then that horrific cape. the cape sits too far back on his shoulders when it should be closer to the middle of his chest. if the cape was better id love the figure. but im gonna be returning it and keeping my far from home figure

When I get my Doctor Strange from MOM I’ll probably drill a hole the same size as the hole that’s in the back of the figure from the Doctor Strange from NWH so I can use the NWH cape onto the MOM figure...... if that makes sense 😂.

I still think It's weird that they're making doctor strange look bulkier and... I don't know, helthier 😂 even tho it's not mcu version, the "what if" doctor strange still looks cooler than all the other ones.

Oh man, after seeing the review and you did explain things very well on the figure, i must say, damn it this broke my heart, weirdest thing to say but in truth in my place it would be hard to get the NWH Doctor Strange due to the wave coming only on christmas and not having a chance to get it, i thought the Rintrah wave would make up for my lost chance and, oh boy it didn't.
I mean I'm ok with the face, hand gestures are awesome, effects are nice, but pegless cape, ugly ab crunch and limited leg articulation? man i am disappointed 😞, i can't blame Hasbro for not trying to make the newer Strange figure more impressive but i think they failed, even for me, well NWH Strange is likely pricier thanks to the aftermarket and honestly I'm not that invested for this figure really so yeah there's that.
Pinless joints is a step up.. but in the near future, I really like to see Marvel Legends should incorporate cloth cape/cloak for their all figures.

No Way Home Dr. Strange is the winner. I am pretty over the stomach ab crunches in Marvel Legend figures - they just seem so out of place.
