After being a fan of Oneus for such a long time this comeback felt so deserved. I felt like I had earned the privilege of listening to this song, and I’m so incredibly proud of them for everything they’ve been doing lately. In my opinion they’ve only elevated themselves since being on Road to Kingdom and I couldn’t be more happy with where they are right now musically and concept wise. I’m hoping this is the point where more people start paying attention to them! They need their first win, they really deserve it ❤️
Can you believe this was originally going to be just the third Oneus Theatre song?! I'm so so so glad they pushed for it to be a proper title track instead. SOTY right here. Seoho said for weeks going into this that the song felt like LIT + A Song Written Easily so I honestly had no idea what I expected it to sound like because those songs are so drastically different, but he really hit the nail on the head. This is a wonderful marriage of my two now former favorite title tracks. As a longtime ToMoon this song makes me feel proud more than anything. Proud of how far they've come, proud of what they've accomplished in almost 3 years despite not having a music show win yet, proud of how they continue to grow and evolve, and proud of how they keep outdoing themselves with almost every release. Not only that, it also makes me so terribly excited to see where they can go from here. I just love these boys so much. 🥺

This song gets better everytime you listen to it. Also i find it so satisfying to hear the sound of their fans when they open it in the last chorus (don't know why don't ask me XD). As you said this is an artistic cb, this is art, Oneus are not just idols but atists, they are amazing and always make something different and unique, this is definitely my favorite Oneus concept, the traditional concept, they truly portrait well their culture, their origins and their identity. This really isn't what I was expecting either, I guess that means it keeps with the Oneus theme of just never knowing exactly what you're going to get with each new release. They continue to make something a bit different each time, and they certainly don't do any of it casually, either. They really commit themselves to each new thing.
Might this be my favourite Oneus title track now?? I just adore the elegant and traditional concepts sooo... I also love the delicate balance between the calmer instruments and the more driving momentum at parts (especially the chorus). And I feel like some of the melodies are kind of quoting their "Intro: Window" song, where Choi Yerim was singing instead, which is just such a neat way to tie things together across the album, and it makes me wonder if they're quoting some kind of folk melody again (like they did in "Lit" for the pre-chorus). Also, Xion finally gets lines! XD Also, this totally feels like it could be the successor to VIXX's "Shangri-La" especially with the fan choreo too! :o
The title 월하미인 is a kind of flower from cactus, (I think it is called the epiphyllum in English) which only bloom at night. Since ONEUS have the vampire concept, they are not able to die, the only way to meet their lover is waiting until that person get rebirth. So the epiphyllum flower is the symbol of the person they are waiting for during a long period of time.
Loved every Oneus comeback this year but this is on a whole other level. It's so poetic. It wasn't what I was expecting either but everything fits so perfectly. The synths go surprisingly well with the gugak instruments. I loved the choreo for this too, it's so cool! And even cooler that Hwanwoong is co-credited for it. I like your take on the editing for the dance break, really shows that every detail is well-thought-out. So glad that the general public are recognizing them now through this comeback. I was shook with Keonhee's adlibs during the last chorus, it certainly added spice to the song. I've been following ONEUS since I have discovered them last 2020, I guess he hadn't received much improvisations though he is also almost the same main vocal level as Seoho. Glad that Keonhee finally got this amazing adlib. And I am so proud of them getting their first win with LUNA. ♥️

I personally didn't like it because I wanted to be able to see the actual dance part of the dance break for once, since the choreo looks so good, but now that I'm thinking of it differently, specially the part where the image is mirrored and rotated and it looks like the reflections are reaching up towards each other, and I like it a lot more xD When the dance practice and/or the performance video comes out, I hope you get to watch it, I'm very excited for it because from the fancams I've seen of the performance of LUNA in their concert as well as the comeback showcase, the choreo looks spectacular and I think it'll be even more spectacular when we can see all aspects of it. Of course I'll be hoping for a reaction but even id you don't, I hope you get to enjoy it in your own time because the choreo really does looks so good. Everything about this comeback is amazing, the set, the effects, the song, the lyrics, the choreo, the styling and the hair, the concept, all of it. No, it wasn't at all what I expected, especially after seeing (and LOVING) Intro: Window. However, I would actually say that I'm enjoying this comeback MUCH more than I would have if it simply played into my expectations. The ebb and flow between longing and loss in both the lyrics and visuals delivered such a surprising amount of class, and the combination of mystery and high energy kept it well within their "brand." It feels like a very fitting progression for them, like they are stepping themselves up while keeping faithful to who they are (hmm sounds like their RBW unnies doesn't it? 😝) . I am SO proud of them, and I seriously think their creative director deserves a raise 😆 Thank you for your excellent reaction!

I was waiting for it ^^ As for the imagery of reflected images and changes, the concept is kinda following the one they already had of them being like vampires-type beings who have lived for many centuries (like they said in the intro narration). If I remember right from the comments during the concert, they said that this song was specifically about a love that had transcended centuries. They still love and miss that person since centuries ago (hence the alternation between Hanbok and suits during the video). And for all the white color and flower references, "월하미인" (the title in Korean that translates to something like "beauty under the moon") is actually the name of a white flower. It only blooms at night under the moonlight. So, they also mixed it with the concept in the lyrics. Hope this helps! ^^
I spent this whole MV thinking of HWAA and then you mentioned it at the end. 😁 I really like this a lot, it feels super polished and refined which, as you say, is a nice change of pace.

I read somewhere that Ravn's part in Intro: Window was from a traditional poetry (not sure the correct term). I forgot which part though.

I think it’s more upbeat, but it still isn’t a light and airy song. It’s very elegant and soft, but with dark undertones.
