I’ve just recently passed my B1 exam (DTZ) from TELC last February. Months before my exam, I have spent my late-night hours searching over UA-cam and over the Internet, trying to find a detailed video or a blog on how I will surely pass the exam. But there was not even 1 video or blog that instructed me: where can I start, what I must study and etc. Although, I was going to school every day for 3 months and 2 weeks, still I don’t know where I will have to begin. There were tons of paper from School, it was just really mixed up.
As a mom of a toddler and a full time housewife, I have only few hours in the evening to study and by that time my brain is not really functioning properly and I can’t memorize because I am already exhausted from the activities in the entire day. For that reason, I thought I must make a system, put discipline and put so much effort and don’t waste a day or an hour.
Glady, the way I reviewed for the exam worked very well. And because of that I thought of uploading a video that can help those who will take B1 German Exam.
P.s I want to thank German Nationals and some Filipino in Germany, who helped me along the way.
Sorry if I can’t pronounce some German words (especially those with umlaut) properly. I am still working on it lol hahah. Also my English grammar (I am really losing it on the way lol)

Usually books for German that I used from school has "Verben mit präpositionen" part at the back. I made a video about the books I used.

I find German difficult and to be honest studying it on your own can be extra challenging.
You can buy German Books that are also used by the schools and translate the difficult or unknown words into your Native Language. ( we do that in the school too)

I would like to ask you that I appeared in B1 telc exam on 13th of August 2021. I had some problem in listening part but it was not so bad and little bit mistakes in schreiben also..in order to pass the exam I must have B1 passing points in each single task or if I have level in any part A2 even then I can get the B1 certicate ? Importante po ung mga lessons Sa a1 and a2 pag dating Sa grammar. I would suggest not to skip it po :)

HI, Could you tell about B1 listening part, is it True/False questions or Multiple choice? because in telc website there is sample paper with true/false questions and on youtube is multiple choice in all videos. Thanks
As I could remember there are parts with multiple choice and maybe 10 items for true or false.
With listening part it would be best to try and study both sources. However, the sample on youtube was almost the same questions on my exam. So keep on listening to it on your free time and as I've said on the video.. don't use headphones while listening as on the exam they'll use loud speaker :)

Hi ma’am! I would like to ask po if the telc Prüfer will not check the Schreiben part if hindi po maganda ang penmanship? Is it true po? Because someone I know took the exam po and she told me po na she only got 6 points sa Schriftlicher Ausdruck. I asked her po why she only got 6 points. Then she replied po “because my handwritten was not really good, they didn’t read the whole letter”.
Usually people lose points if they cannot write letter with right grammar, they do not understand the letter and got confused on how to answer it, do not know how and when to use CAPITAL LETTERS and if they forget to write some parts of the letter that were needed.
Although ofcourse it is really important that the letter is understandable and visually organized but, I have never heard anyone loosing points because of the penmanship.
What is the difference between TELC vs Goethe Institute exams?
It depends in the School you will go. They are both good and both certified. I've experienced having exam with both ( TELC here in Germany | Goethe in the Philippines ) and I can say they are just the same.
In our area in Germany we have TELC. :)

Hi! there is some books for Kindle in Amazon. I'm reading "German Short Stories For Beginners", and "Intermediate German Short Stories". They are not so exprensive and you can read them on Kindle, tablet or smartphone, with the Kindle app. Also you can search the books from "Lessen und Üben" (CIDEF).

What books do I need to read to pass b1?
You can check books any from Hueber or from Klett. They have very helpful workbooks for german learners.
