    People forget we were only a 5 win team last year. We were in a bad cap situation and still playing with a majority Telesco drafted team. It took the Lions 3 years to be competitive after they changed their front office and coaching staff.

      The Lions have a QB who had taken a team to the Super Bowl and now hes taken the Lions to the NFC championship game. We have a QB who cant even win a big regular season game but hes the 3rd highest paid QB in the league. Lions built that team because they weren't paying Goff much. We are nothing close.

    The INT was QJ's fault, watch the play. THAT was a Mike Williams special ... a huge jump ball chunk play.
    QJ loses the ball in the air, does a 180 and falls down. The DB says "thanks, I'll take that" and catches the ball.
    QJ is a QB/Coach killer who will make plays, then make HUGE mistakes in crunch time. Forever.

      To be fair, the Bucs have a very deep roster, they have overcome injuries at nearly every position and are jelling at the right time. They beat the Lions in Detroit and blew out the Eagles in Tampa, they have a bunch of close losses. They could easily be 11-3.

    Very valid point about pass rushers. They are being paid as elite players and the production doesn't reflect that kind of money at all. We have too many games when there is barely any pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They are way too expensive for what they produce on the field.

    Ive given the front office the benefit of the doubt, but they got joe alt and forget about the rest of the oline in the draft. Pipkins is killjng us every game , and your line is only as good as uour weakest link. The fact thst we took junior colson over cooper beebe a dominant RG/C is the blunder that we pay every game. Why charger fans were so happy we took colson is a mystery to me. We also wasted picks on rice and anither reciever in the 7th when it shoukd have been oline.

      Hortiz inherited the worst cap situation and a roster that had plenty of areas to address. He can only accomplish so much in just one draft and one offseason. They have had more success in this draft than any of Telesco’s. There are a handful of players contributing yet some are criticizing what Hortiz missed out on which seems short sighted and isn’t looking at the overall picture.

    • @keroutson
      @keroutson 10 днів тому +1

      Did Chargers fans expect Hortiz to patch up every hole in just one off-season ? Has there ever been a Chargers draft that has had multiple players contributing as much as they’re in their first season as this one ?

    • @brianhenry7983
      @brianhenry7983 9 днів тому +1

      @@keroutson no I like what hortiz is doing. I'm just saying this new organization came in and said the oline was the tip of the spear and only drafted one onlineman, when we clearly needed an upgrade everywhere but LT. Why are we drafting wide receivers in the 7th round who gets waived. Should have took two lineman at least. I'm just surprised the line wasn't adequately addressed last off-season, and Herbert has been hurt almost all year because of it. Also calling long develping plays is also the problem.

    • @keroutson
      @keroutson 9 днів тому

      @@brianhenry7983 - Alt is already one of the better RTs in the league and they signed BB who is familiar with the o scheme. Perhaps they were expecting more from their interior OL. Chargers media outlets and plenty of fans were raving about Zion before the season started but he has been underwhelming in pass protection & TP has been even worse in pass protection. They could have drafted Frazier or JPJ in the 2nd but they had a depleted wr room so it made sense that they drafted LM who is their only wr who consistently creates separation. Hortiz can accomplish only so much in just one off-season. They had plenty of areas to address on both sides of the ball during the off-season so Hortiz deserves a ton of credit with how much he has accomplished.

Give credit to Tampa Bay for a great game but it's just one game and the score doesn't matter. Just have to regroup and learn from it. The chargers should bounce back no problem. All this Hype this season was overblown even with this weak schedule , and it’s the NORM , Staley got blamed for doing exactly what Campbell has done in Detroit , the difference was that lack of execution , talent on the O line and D line ..
    Same trouble this year with a different staff …. Hey I’m available Mr. Spanos , I have and can identify talent without the big pay check …. No wonder why this franchise has to piggyback off the Rams , couldn’t get a deal done in San Diego where they were loved by fans they let down time and time again, A new Home , stadium, jersey , Staff , Coaches , $250 million dollar Qb , $150 tied up in 3 defensive players that can’t make it happen , ridding themselves of all their offensive weapons for nothing more than a mediocre team with a soft schedule and clearly no path to a Championship. Without a running game, it becomes glaringly obvious that the defense adjusts to our simple passing game. That’s why we see Herbert fall off in the second half. without a play action threat, defenses just adjust to focus on him. Need dobbins back. WE RAN 11 TIMES YESTERDAY. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

    • @michaelbell75
      @michaelbell75 9 днів тому

      Well guess what? You need money to have a run game and Herbert is the 3rd highest paid QB in the league. We arent getting a run game until he either restructures his deal or we trade him for picks and move off his absurd contract.

    No, 60% of Justin Herbert doesn't come close to 100% of Taylor Heinike. It looks like the pain from Herbert's injuries is tiring him out by the 3rd quarter in both of the last two games.

    Derwin was out of position repeatedly. Morgan Fox isn’t an option when playing a good running team like TB. Taylor and Fulton are gone next year.

    Has anyone done a deep dive into a correlation between the NFL scheduling all these teams for 3 games in an 11 day stretch and all the team injuries we are seeing? Obviously the more games you play the more risk there is but these 11 day 3 game stretches seem pretty brutal on teams to me. Lions are just one example. I'm very concerned about Herbert. His legs are taking a beating. That interior oline is going to get him killed.

    If they get to 10 wins and make the playoffs, it will be a huge leap forward from last year... doesn't remove the bad taste left behind after this game... here's a cup half full thought. Maybe this torching helps us to keep Minter for at least another year... a year when they will have $75-$100 mil to spend on some talent plus another draft

    • @michaelbell75
      @michaelbell75 9 днів тому

      $75 million is chump change lol. Especially when you need to replace an entire offense and your overrated QB is on an absurd $262 million contract he hasn't come anywhere close to earning. To give you an idea, Tee Higgins is making $21 million this year alone. Guess what hes gonna want for 4 years? $70 million easy. You are gonna get more garbage like Hunter Renfrow and Leonard Fournette with that limited money. More washed up players no one wants like we have now. The ONLY way out of this is moving off Herbert for picks and getting out of his contract. Then Hortiz has to hit multiple home runs in the draft and get playmakers we dont have to pay for 4 years. Good luck.

    Greg Roman will be the issue as this team moves forward. Oh he will. But this team needs a running game. I think Vidal has some upside but over the next years. Dobbins may be worth a one year. But may need to lean on giving a short term via free agency.
    I think the Bolts need to focus on that defense and hopefully shopping Bosa. Still excited about the future.
    Bolts need two games to make playoffs and it would be nice to get a w Thursday. Defense needs to win the game Thursday

    5 minute mark of this video: if yall knew all of this about the Chargers offense and defense, you still "expected" them to dominate Tampa. That's what's asinine! Tampa is ranked very high in many offensive categories. One is #1 on 3rd down percentage. Top ten rushing offense from Tampa.. True leadership on defense from Lavonte. Idk what the Chargers thought was gonna happen.

    We were exposed by a better team. Pipkins isn’t a starter at guard, Bozeman is an average center, and Johnson is a disappointment, so Herbert was battered again. There just aren’t enough play makers on offense which was made clear yesterday.
    It’s hard to play good defense when they are forced to be on the field for 2/3 of the game.
    Let’s be honest.. they over achieved so far this season, and over the off season they will need to dive into the free agent market and make more good choices in the draft in order to get the players they need to take the next step.. they will have the money they need to do so.
    Lastly, Harbaugh has made some questionable decisions. In the first half they should have gone for it on 4th down, but they punted instead, and netted 22 yards. Too many other examples to mention here, but we need to be much more aggressive if we want to be successful.
    Let’s be happy for the success we have achieved so far, and look forward to better days ahead.

    Blaming Roman for no running game when the RB1 is down is crazy. Even crazier to blame him for no run game when we all know the interior line is bad. EVEN crazier to blame him in year 1 😂 can’t scheme better if rbs are bad and wr can’t get open quickly 😂 you can get away with 1 but 2 plus a bad line nobody can do anything with that

    • @COACHTY1
      @COACHTY1 9 днів тому

      No it’s not crazy because even when our starting running back was here, we still had a sporadic run game and we had a horrible interior offensive line and we had no one else to throw the ball to besides Ladd they knew all this all year and did nothing about it because they were stubbly thinking the horrible way was just going to work. We didn’t run only team. We just needed to be able to run the ball but Herbert still needs weapons to throw the ball to as well.
