There really aren't words for this. It's a perfect balance of everything great about rock music. Beautiful, dark, dynamic yet dream like.
I found this song I'm pretty sure on the ending of one of the episodes of The blacklist. I tried humming it on sound search could not think of it I literally just got done going through hundreds of liked videos to find it. You're right it just has this unexplainable Melody of perfectness!
they are a great band
And it's not even their best song
@@PMurray2694 it’s close, but I agree. Which is your favorite?
Idk who these guys are, but they are all a bunch of badasses
I dont know how many times ive come back to this preformance. Always blows my mind
One of the best displays of musical genius. I can't blame u 🤷🏾♂️
The moment, in the third movement, when the guitar and keyboard drop into that melody line brought tears to my eyes.
Beautiful, just beautiful.
And the keyboard drone? Just fantastic.
me too! the third act of this song is incredible. epic. such a moving piece.
Every time.
i cry everytime too
This is so great sometimes I can't breath when I listen to it. I am 60 this week but I will be there when wand play Manchester again. Double booked last time with Starcrawler.
Dude, you're the shit. Hats off to you my friend. Cheers.
I feel you, I’m 51 and just dove deep into Wand for the first time. I’ll see them live if they come anywhere near me soon.
Thank you BlackList for making me discover this amazing band :)
@slamtimeson yes they were, but i dont remember exactly in which episode
Gary Numan is amazing to

Same here
why are bands like this so underrated?
The Black Angels are the same. Only heard them on a T.V. show. Look up "Manipulation" also on KEXP Emma Ruth Rundle , Dark Horse. You will thank me later
for reals.
@@4WheelsOnTheRoad Oh boy I am definitely thanking you
Because they're NOT douchebag, media whores like all the rest who don't deserve airtime of any kind...
Why can't bands like this be on the charts.
Not everyone wants to sign a contract with Satan to trade their souls for success and fame.
I had to "Shazam" this song when I was watching The Blacklist S04E06 (was in this episode) WoW ! spelled backwards WoW !!!
Jaja I did the same. couldn't find it on Spotify. had to rely on UA-cam !
BlackList brought me here too :)
Same.
sameeeee that show has some really good soundtracks
🍄🌚🍄🌚🍄Wand forever 🍄🌚🍄🌚🍄
Fire on the Mountain I sounds so much better in this performance than anywhere I ever heard it. Perfect mix.
The third movement sounds like a timeless American standard, just absolutely cannot get over how gorgeous it is, reminds me of Amen Dune a bit, which is as high of a compliment as I can think of 👌👌
Keeping rock alive! Bands like this! This is one of those times the live performance tops the original recording! Just amazing man!!
How do you even top a recording like that? 10 minutes to new year 2023 and this is what i've chosen, I'm away from my wife and home and the only thing to do now is for us to both listen to our song (AIC-Brother-Unplugged) at midnight. That's how good this is, hugely underrated. KEXP have been killing it since I was a kid, the sessions they do now prove they were onto something. Band you like at KEXP? Probably them at their best just like John Peel in England.
This performance almost made my head explode
Wand is amazing! Golem is a beast of an album!
although this one is not from golem
This is a band in beautiful, perfect harmony.
One of my favourite songs ever made thank you for making this
Wand is quite a new crush for me, the balance between light and heavy, so fing awesome. The might have the best guitar sound i know, im greatful.
This is a masterpiece in every sense of the word
i actually love this recording so much it hurts
Holy crap! That was fun
Lyrics:
Fire burns on the mountaintop
West Coast falling in the ocean
In a capsule underground
I sit trying to forget
Sky sending open guns
Throw them in the fray
We're not proud to do it
Manic everyone
We can see deep inside of you
Nothing left but a skeleton
Throw yourself off the banister
Let your mind be sky
Surfing in little spurn
Molten on the piece
Lighting up my eyes
Zeus please make me god
Aired on The Blacklist S4E6 >>>
A hood is placed on Le Bron's head; a sniper sets up; Ressler's team arrives to pick-up Le Bron just as the sniper takes him out with a head shot.
LOVE this
I fucking lovvvveeeeeee this band - can't stop playing this tune
god i love this so much..... i love it i love it i love it..............
Evan Burrows, the drummer, is heavily influenced by Jimmy Chamberlain, which is great because this drummer is fucking RAD. Love his style. Cory Hanson is a genius, best music i've heard in ages. Need to see them when they tour the UK in Jan
ah mann, thats so cool to hear, im a huge jimmy chamberlain fan myself and always wondered who evan's influences were, he's an incredible drummer
I can definitely notice th influnce now that you've pointed it out
Freaking YES man thankyou for introducing me to this channel gods of music
MON THE WAND!!!!!!
I hope they play this song when I see them live later on this year.

it's not the first time i see someone writting the track name like that, why ?
Epic
music is beautiful
Nice stealie on that rhythm guitarist's shirt!! ;)
I love this goddamn song
this is great.
The guitarist has a grateful dead shirt on!!Fuck yeah
3:32 sounds like their new album Laughing Matter, pretty epic to see similarities in their first album
I always think of the Norwegian church burnings. The virgin mary as the earth, her lover the sun...
The Blacklist S4 E6
Oh my god that fucking solo, i love you Cory!
1:34 j i z z
haha! I know right! that's my favorite part
This version fuckin rocks
This here is some good shit brother!
4:24 ... ese momento fue magico para mi, apuesto que tambien lo fue para ellos
All I want to know is when are they coming to Michigan?!
Who dat fookin drummer ?
Son unos maestros ♥️
WTF i think he might be using a Sunn Concert Lead bass head for his guitar amp lol nice, thats how he is getting that beefy sound
Now this is how you do a cover
It’s not a cover though I believe. It’s their own song just with the same name as the grateful dead song
I didn't know Jesse Eisenberg could sing like that, lol always thought he looked like him haha
fuck! I love this song so much. its so intense! me and my band wanna do a cover of it. can someone help me out with the Lyrics? ;/ I don't understand everything that he's saying
Amazing performance, can anyone tell me the name of that SG? Ive seen Peter Holmström from the Dandy Warhols playing it too. Its so beautiful!
TheHigh Way i’m pretty sure peter uses an early 70s (1972-74??) SG deluxe with the bigsby trem. Not sure what robert (from wand) uses though. Could be the same thing.
TheHigh Way looks too new tho
I call the shot for some reissue or a well cared 1972 SG Pro. Its really good lookin and sounding
Does anyone know how he gets that very bass tone ? Exept the fact that he uses a rickenbaker ; please :^)
Well i found out on the internet but thanks. Don't remember the answer tho, pretty sure it was'nt a muff
Immaculée Conception its probably a Fuzz War by Death By Audio the same pedal all those dudes use.. like Ty Segall, the bands Fuzz and Meatbodies etc..
old comment but Lee uses a moog moogerfooger drive :~)
Where can I find tabs to this song?
like
Is that Chad Ubovich's Gibson SG?
Custom Shop of a 73 or 74 Deluxe, the nut at the top is still bright white, if it was period it would have yellowed, a few sneaky tricks to tell if it is a reissue or custom as opposed to period guitar, also the original had slightly different tuning keys, those are the more modern Grovers, the old ones had a bit of a diff shape, expensive pretty SG though.
one thing I just noticed also he has taped over or removed the plastic badging above the nut, look you can see where the screws go, it looks like the badge is on it but is blacked out, that usually would say SG, Custom, Special, or Deluxe, he has blacked it out for reasons I don't know.
Yeah, definitely not a grateful dead cover.👌
Which Grateful dead song do you mean? :)
So much better than the original! haha ;)
But hey the second guitarist has got a dead t shirt on. Nice.
@@OpenMind7024 fire on the mountain! it's son shakedown street
@@ianst.george2664 yeah I feel like it's more of a inspired song rather than a cover haha
oOF!
Oh I thought it was a girl singing
haha ong
Why is the guy singing though?🤔
Great song , had never heard of this band before now....... Awesome , great performance from each member of this band..... I'm beyond impressed..... I'm blown away. Thank you KEXP for sharing this on UA-cam
