This season is basically an Eliza Taylor's Acting masterclass.
I know, right?
The first 3 episodes was more character ans world building. This episode on is when shit starts to hit the fan, enjoy the ride. Also Josephine, I have a love-to-hate relationship with her. She's an asshole but entertaining, you'll enjoy her.
The same with Season 7, by far. Not as interesting, but the first three were build up.

I really don't understand the nastiness that Clarke receives. She keeps trying to save her people and carry an enormous burden on her shoulders. She nearly died during Pramfaya to save her friends. But they can't stop blaming her for anything and everything while they never put her before themself.
Raven was unfair in her criticism. Echo denounced Shaw which led to his torture in the middle of season 5. Then she even considered killing him with Raven's consent! But when Clarke does the same thing (to prevent her daughter from being taken to the middle of a war) it's unforgivable? Raven forgot that to save Shaw, she agreed to help the prisoners bomb her friends! It's just hypocrisy.
Anyway, good review as always. Can't wait to see more!
If she didn't feel bad about what she had done, her reaction to the red sun would have been different.
That’s what I love the most about the show though. The hypocrisy and selective bias is intrinsically a human trait. Most will do what they can to adapt and survive. It’s really good at portraying the conflict of humanity.
The bias against Clarke is frustrating. And the way the writers have witten the characters and their relationships didn't help. For example, it's harder to find sympathy for Clarke compared to Octavia when they show Clarke getting bashed on every 10 minutes by fan favorites. But with Octavia, the only fan favorite that is even talking to her is Bellamy, but he abandons her in the woods, making her extremely sympathetic. Meanwhile Raven and Murphy, who people love and can't find any fault with, get on top of their high horses and constantly call out Clarke. She doesn't even stand a chance, but it's all just to add to the drama to use her as a punching bag and then see what happens when she suddenly dies. Of course, they won't show Raven and Murphy saying anything about Octavia, because they've barely interacted with her over the course of 6 seasons, yet Octavia called them "acceptable losses" in S5.
But ever since this season aired, I'm glad a majority of the community were able to still find sympathy for Clarke and think that Raven and Murphy were being too judgemental. They were over-the-top, used as plot devices. But really, it was just bad character development, especially for Raven who's entire character arc revolves around judging everybody this season and nothing else.

Finally! You met Josephine. This is Eliza´s season, she is amazing, and she enjoyed playing another character so much. The next episode is one of my favorites this season.
Diyoza and Octavia - my another favorite thing from this season, their dynamic is so awesome and enjoyable.
And yes, my Bellarke heart, this season's Bellarke is ... you'll see.

@@phllpsss1 episode 10 of season 1. the grounders were going to attack on the bridge while everyone, including Clarke was sick. Raven was the only one there that knew how to build the bomb and it's because of her that the grounders fell back. she literally saves their asses every single season. I can tell you all the times and you can compare it to Clarke's. which would be 10+ times - 2?

This is Eliza’s season, and the Bellarke this season is amazing!
Delilah didn't know she was going to be dead dead, they say you become one with the Prime but that's not true, this is shown more in Ep 5 and Ep 9 and throughout this season.
After I rewatched this season did I truly enjoy it esp the Josephine/Clarke storyline
I have such a love/hate relationship with Josephine.
She's the best part of an otherwise quite uneven season for me.

For real though, I am normally a hater of shipping. But Clarke/Bellamy is so painfully not platonic. At this point, putting her together with anyone else would be a complete disservice to the character. There just isn't anyone else with a significant enough history to justify her being together with. If it's not Bellamy, I'd rather her just stay single.
Also, after what has happened so far in season 7, I prefer Echo with someone else. Though I won't say who for spoilers sake.

Raven is one my favorite characters however she is not completly right about what she said to Clarke, her criticism is absolutely unfair knowing that she was ok with killing Shaw back in season 5. Also, everything clarke did from season 1 was to save everyone, Raven is still alive because of some of the things that clarke did and sacrificed, so if clarke tried to choose her self and her daughter a little in the previous season we cannot just blame her and forget what she did to help her group !
omg thank you. I never understood how clarke got so much more shit than other characters who did the same or similar things. She was the only one who received backlash for the massacre at mount weather, when she literally pulled the lever WITH Bellamy. I love all the characters ( except finn and pike ) but raven was out of line.

@@MegaJufy not justifying killing at all, just saying they all killed people to survive and they were all ok with Clarke saving their lives more than once, so Raven's outburst was not in characters and sudden and the writing wasn't convincing in my opinion. That's all.
I thank you! I never understood the Clarke hate too. They watched all 6 seasons and didn't see how hard it is to make the choices she made? She never put herself first. And when she did she did not feel good about it.
i get your point, but raven literally lost her boyfriend and 2 of her closest friends like 2 days ago. clarke betrayed and had her tortured and almost got all them killed. so i'd say she had a very good reason to be mad. it's gonna take a lot more than an apology. also without raven, clarke and all of the 100 kids would not survive past season 1 episode 10, the season 1 finale and so on. they both saved each other a lot. that doesnt mean clarke deserves to be forgiven so easily.

I love Echo’s arc this season. I started the 100 as a Bellarke fan, and still am (esp. cos Taylor and Morley are married IRL). But I love the depiction of Becho on the show and it works. Not sure if I want Bellarke endgame anymore, but it’s nice when they sprinkle in some of that tension now and again.
Also, Eliza’s switch from Clarke to Josephine is so amazing. Whole different character in movement.

Pat cheering on Raven when literally the entire fandom came together to say she has no right to judge Clarke like that, nah man. Raven doesn’t get what it’s like to make tough decisions yet, and Clarke already beats herself up enough. I know Raven’s going through some sh*t from the torture and losing Shaw but the judgement get old real fast this season. And also Clarke didn’t actually cause Raven to get tortured? Captured yes, but I don’t think she would’ve assumed that Raven would be tortured
Yeah, anyone with brain cells left has already quit the show, partly because the creators and "fans" justify mass murder regularly.
clarke did get raven tortured. she knew they were going to try to have her bomb wonkru and she gave her up anyway. what did you think would happen? they'd ask nicely? lmao. also raven does have a right to judge her. she betrayed every single one of them last season, which is like 2 days ago for her, its gonna take a lot more than an apology to make up for that. not to mention how she had her boyfriend tortured and 3 of the closest people to raven died 2 days ago. give her a break.
I mean, I get why they did it. Pitting the characters against her, before "killing" her is a smart move from a writing perspective. All the characters throwing snide remarks at her suddenly have to grapple with the fact she's dead and died on their watch in a horrible way. She becomes a martyr for them. And underneath all their anger, Clarke is still family. That's why they're so bitter over her "betrayal". Even Murphy, when given the chance earlier in the season, wouldn't let Clarke kill herself.
By "killing" her in such a brutal fashion, it forces the characters to reassess their relationships with her. Their reasons for being angry at her become insignificant in the face of losing her and the suffering she would've gone through. She is, after all, their leader. And has saved them all too many times to count. They do care A LOT about her. The fact their relationship with her was so bad, makes the loss hit that much harder.
They didn't get to make peace or forgive her. Instead, they have to live with the guilt of her dying alone, thinking most of the people she loved and had spent her life protecting and fighting, hated her. So, when they have a chance to save her, they all jump at the chance to get her back and to make things right.
Besides the mountain men Clarke has not been forced to make any of the other horrid decisions she chose willingly and it just depends if she feels you are worth saving which became exclusively maddy last season to the detriment of everyone she once considered her people. Raven is the brains and power behind their operations and they wouldn’t have even had a chance in any of these battles without her.

Clarke has the highest body count out of any remaining humans. Think about that and keep trying to paint her as the good guy.
Guy12345 the only reason her body count is so high is because no one has the balls to make the hard decisions. They’re all fine with her killing people untik it comes to them.

Its literly been discussed in the show that none of them are good guys by normal human standards..... and none is defending her actions, they are just shinning light on why Clarke do what she does. 🤷♀️ and getting angry that Clarke is the only one being hated on, when most of the characters have done equally as bad things.
And Clarke is the only one with balls big enough to actually kill for her people, none of the others could do it. Exept for probably Echo and Octavia, but then again, Octavia would only do it she got the order to do so and so would Echo. Clarke is the leader, thus she has to make the hard decisions when no one else will and noone else has a better plan, so she saves everyone and gets blamed.

Eliza Taylor was spectacular in Season 6. Too bad she's phoning it in in Season 7 like she just wants it to be over.
I disagree. Clarke just hasn't had much to do yet in Season 7. Also in the first few episodes she's SUPPOSED to be off. She isn't allowing herself time to break down. And those episodes are really set-up and her negotiating. The interesting episodes are elsewhere.

But the next episode is finally going to be a more intense episode with her. So yeah, give her a chance. She can't act the heck out of scenes where she is depressed and doesn't have much to say.

This annoys me so much. Clarke literally makes all of the hard decisions. They say that because of Clarke tons of good people died well guess what her decisions kept you alive.
