I have to say what a performance by Marie Avergerpolous throughout this show, she honestly deserves the spot as one of my if not my favourite character in TV history. She has had one of the best developments I have seen in TV history. It has been a honour to watch her character development over the seasons, it was a pleasure to watch. She owns all her scenes, she got peace in the end and I am so happy about that she got some form of happiness. From the girl under the floor to Indra's second to Skairipa ( Death from above) to Bloodreina to Being called by the anomaly and Redemption, Aunty O to finally having a great part in saving the entire human race from being wiped out. It was her calling to save the human race. Her arc is incredible and inspiring. How this show managed to make me love and relate to a character in a post apocalyptic world so much, I don't know. I'm gonna miss her character but alas all good things must come to an end. This was a great thing.

yeah for me the same but then with John Murphy. the 100 has it weak points, but some of the development in the characrer and their arcs are so incredibly well done

wow crazy to think back to what there reactions were like back then, especially mickey hatting and quitting the show lol, that was a long run
The moment you realize this is just the city of light 2.0
the reason to not accept A.L.I.E was that they lost part of their memories and free will. even when Clarke was about to pull the kill switch at the season 3 finale, she said that give them back their pain and memories and let them decide for themselves and I won't destroy you but A.L.I.E wasn't able to do it.

Imagine being in that group at the end and being the literal last human being to ever die. That'd be some intense shit.
I love the ending when they stayed back, because for most the show clarke has put everything and everyone above her, so for them to stay for her was great to me
If I'm being honest, I personally feel as though the series should have ended after season 5, with Clarke and Bellamy looking over their new home with a fresh start and newfound hope. Although this finale ends on a happy note, it also cements the end for the human race and any future our characters might have had, which is really depressing.
While Clark might have had somewhat of a happy ending the show doesn't end happy in my opinion.
Just to improve a little the ending they could have gone to the... humans are not ready yet to ascend but the superior beings concede a moratory for mankind to have more time.
I do think thatS5 was a better ending (the transcendent ending just doesn't seem to fully gel with the thesis of the show), but there was a ton of character work and ridiculous impressive storytelling in s6 and s7 we would've missed out on. Even if they didn't quite nail the ending, I'm glad we at least got to see the journey play out.
I don’t fully agree, cause I didn’t like season 6 it just wasn’t ‘’what I wanted from the show’’ and it was the only season I disliked, some of the others I wouldn’t want to watch them again due to the emptiness at times but it really is the only season I don’t like. I loved s7 however because it responded to so many questions about the past (why are nightblood everywhere when only Becca had it ? Or why was the bunker from level 12 empty when there was people in every other bunkers ? And so on). This was one hell of a great final season but I do agree that the Ending is just kinda bs like they didn’t know what to do with the characters

Before I watch the reaction, I just want to say Thank you Normies for introducing me to this show. When you guys watched the pilot, I had to see for myself what this show was about and I didn’t regret it. I was especially excited when the react wheel landed on this so you could continue watching.

Honestly I find it weird that they had a dog, one single dog. Was he the last puppy? If they for some reason took dogs with them (which in of itself seems a weird choice to take with you on a spaceship), wouldn't they breed more of them?
@@Dark__Thoughtsthey had a dog because it was I believe Josephine’s dog that she brought from earth. They found the dog at the American looking house near sanctum. I’m not sure HOW it survived that time but yeah.
@@leahthemushy2859 Again. It is already very unlikely to bring any sort of pet or other unnecessary shit onto a space mission. It's not just added weight but on top of that requires food in form of meat. And the Primes have been there for a long time, multiple generations. A dog's lifespan is like ~10 years, depending on the breed. So if they'd had one singular dog with them, it would've been dead for a long time already. If they'd bought a whole breeding party of dogs then Sanctum would've been full of dogs, not just one.
@@Dark__Thoughts I know about the lifespan that’s why I said I can’t explain WHY the dog is alive but the show does say that it was Josephine’s dog. That’s all I was saying to you btw. I think I may have argued with you on a different video but I’m not trying to argue here just mention what I remember seeing. :)
John Murphy is my favourite Character in any show for all time

And we never even got bellarke...it’s just so crazy that it’s finally over. I just remember being so excited for episodes with bellarke scenes so that I could see surajs reaction to it😭 I just eventually they would end up together but we were robbed

I really liked this finale. Them staying back to me wasn't about "penance". It's about them getting what they have been fighting for, peace. No more battles. No more catastrophes. Just having fun and growing old with people you love.

the 100 was a good show. definitely had some trouble spots but also had some of my favorite all time tv moments (in seasons 4 & 5 particularly). they also had a great cast - 7.9
The actor who played Russel/Sheidheda is also on Teen Wolf (TV series) which you all should watch. All 6 seasons are on Amazon Prime. It’s a great show and would totally recommend.

Wait I'm confused, LOST didn't do this AT ALL, nowhere even close. In lost, they died, went to a purgatory to find each other, then went into the afterlife. That is not what this is in any way.
They have different situations, but they do have similar themes of afterlife and moving on, and similar iconography of the main character alone with a dog and the main characters all reuniting and embracing in the final scenes. I also don't agree with Suraj that they have the same endings, though.
afterlife and species evolution to a higher plane of existence isnt the same thing. (in my opinion 😉)

@@Jarrie Exactly, there are more than three dimensions, the 4th one involves time and allows being that live in that dimension able to phase in and out of any period in time anywhere in 3d space, like ghosts. That's probably what these beings were based on, it's not too far from reality. We aren't able to comprehend higher dimensions. Microorganisms don't know the 3rd dimension, now imagine humans as those microbes to even higher beings. Maybe they're the source of all consciousness, that's still a human mystery in all works of fiction.

I actually loved this ending and I believe a lot of people did not realise the message behind it.
They knew they can't survive without a war anymore. This is exactly what the show tells us. They were always after survival. Since they ever landed on earth they survived everything, killing grounders, then the mountain men, then the people who died in the city of light. They went on to a complete different planet with a mindset of doing better but still ended up killing people to survive and they did the same in bardo.
The message the show gives us is until the human race exists we'll always find a reason to fight, no matter how small or big. Someone will always be killed for something, money, lust, fame, jealousy, power, love. Any emotion or attribute which we as humans possess will always make us hurt and kill others. The only way to end it is to end the way we exist. And that's why they transcended.
That's why the rules of transcending include, no off springs and no coming back, which ultimately means no war and no revenge.
It happens in our real lives too. But our population is so much that it's not that considerable. Any murder or killing becomes a news for a few days and then fades away. It wouldn't be the case if we only had a hundred people on this planet
I'm with Suraj, it's a 5.5. IMHO the Season 5 finale was a better series finale that was impactful, purposeful, all-encompassing, emotionally gripping and an open ending. Thus I'd say season 1-5 are worth watching. They turned a solid 8/10 show into a 5.5/10, skip season 6 & 7 as nothing that happened mattered at all.

Just finished watching all 100 episodes with you and enjoyed it. One of the things we can forget is Covid hit during the last episode or just before. They had very limited time and had to wrap the entire series up very quickly. Not sure how much of a difference this would have made. I LOVED THE SHOW and watched it 6 times now, once myself and 5 reactions. I find it strange that everyone who died prior to the time of the "final test" would not transcend. That leaves maybe .0001% of the population... as how many were left?
I agree with suraj for me seasons 1-4 were the best season 4 being at its prime, the next 3 seasons just got worse and worse and worse with season 7 having the laziest writing when it came to the ending and a lot of cheesy moments throughout the last 3 seasons

Bob Morley has done a video that is available on UA-cam about what he thought of season 7, and how him and Eliza had always been specifically told to play Clarke and Bellemy as romantic. Also stating at one point "I guess I misread the story being told over the last 7 year's."

i never really got the Clarke/Bellamy romance thing, it always seemed more like a strong friendship/soulmate thing.
Then he asked for time off while filming episode 1 and caused the scripts to change. It's entirely his fault Bellarke didn't happen.

Bellamy was right, but he wanted the dude to do the test, and lets be honest, he wasnt ready
Clarke wasn't ready either and after failing Raven takes her place. If the dude had failed, then another could have taken his place. The show made totally inconsistent a plot like this.

It wasn't Clarke or Raven doing the test, it was (almost) every left human being making the test, because the test was the battlefield, so it isn't important, who would have been starting the test. In the end it was Octavia, who made the human race successing the test (with the help of their friends).
He wasn’t right because he was thinking it was a war not a test.

Started off rocky for most of S1 but picked up in later seasons, most notably in S2 and S5 (oddly, I enjoyed S3 because of how the City of Light eventually became the main story when it appeared to be a side story). I liked S6 but I was 50/50 on S7, the latter half of the season wasn't solid nor did it end satisfying enough.
I don't get why pat loves this show, lol. He doesn't seem to have any emotional investment with any of the characters and just wants chaos to reign

as much as I love Clarke she ends up alone is the best choice, which is funny because she was ALWAYS in charge of making the most difficult choices, and being judged even by those who would do the same. Now that she is alone, she will not have to carry that burden, she will finally be able to think only of herself, what she most wanted is for her friends to be safe, now they are.
In a way the higher beings were like the equivalent of Star Treks' "Q"
I was thinking more like the Ancients from Stargate. Almost identical really. The entire season has been like an SG-1 tribute.

There was a time this was the best show on TV - a very short time. Breaking Bad ended in between seasons two and three of this. It's had a lot of missteps and a lot of holding patterns since. This is a show I'm really hoping gets remade in fifteen years. It wasn't a bad show overall, but it could have been so much better...

@@IAMvonte-2518 yeah Bellamy got shafted but I feel they tried to do there best with what bob morley was giving them because he was taking time off for mental health issues. I agree with Maddie being weak it irritated me so much but I guess it was just for plot so I didn’t complain too much. And for learning about the higher beings there was a prequel series that was proposed not sure if it’ll ever get picked up though.

I think transcendence is basically a “evolutionary” Heaven. As their souls leave the earth and are connected by a higher power who makes the choice weather they are ready for transcendence or to stay a mortal. As heaven God chooses where you go. P.S. Please no one come for me because of this example. I am Christian but, I was just trying to explain it in the way the show was. Love the reaction and loved this whole series. Thx guys

I really loved the show but speaking of cheesy things the fact that Jordan is the one who found out that the last war was a test not a real war is very cheesy in my opinion. Like gabereel is the doctor and he has been studying this for more than 150 years and jordan finds out like come on!
Suraj you're thinking of Taoist Buddhism, the OG Hindu Buddhism isn't "religious" at all it's essentially a philosophy of reality. The Chinese's adaptation of it adds in the "religion" part. Some still consider it Buddhism, many like me don't.

Anyone else feel like the "may we meet again" line is cheapened by the ending? Like, there is no afterlife in 100 confirmed. The dead are dead and those that transcended will always live on without them.
Becca was responsible via ALIE her technology for the end of the Earth's majority of population facing judgement would have definitely scared the shit out of her thus it explains why she was so shook up.

Yeah, he was kind of useless throughout S6 and S7.
Few characters I wish were alive ( Bellamy , Monty , gabe , roan and some adult from skykru ) characters I wish died (Gaia/Indra , Maddy , Jackson) . Characters who should have died a little later than they did in the show (Lincoln , pike, Lexa , Shaw ,Sinclair , roan ,wells) characters I wish who died earlier (Bellamy , Abby , kane , Harper , jaha ) characters who could have a better arc (naylah , Clarke , Maddy , Abby , Gaia , pike ) at the end of the day no show is perfect but how amazing would it be if we could see the show again with the changes we wish it had and how amazing it could be

I don't like what they did to Bellamy's character but I hate when people say "Bellamy was right." He wasn't right! Half-right isn't right, it's half-right. And that's being generous to even say half-right…Like try 20% right 😭 Transcendence was the only part that ended up being true. The "last war", TORTURING and K|LLING PEOPLE AND KIDS to get to transcendence😭, betraying your friends/family, wearing those silly funny robes, manipulating people to believe someone is a "shepard" who was "chosen" by higher beings to save humanity - literally all of that was wrong, like 😭
