Well done - I am constantly amazed at your self discipline when it comes to your budget and your shopping. It also make me think of how much most people overspend. We should always be more aware of diligently pantry shopping before we venture to the supermarket to overspend.

Thanks so much Anne! It's so easy to overspend - I actually had 2 items on my grocery list that decided not to buy - I don't need them right away, and I really wanted the cheese. With summer coming and my teaching jobs winding down until September, I need to make sure what little I've saved gets me through the next few months.

Olive oil is so expensive because of droughts in Europe. I've been using mine sparingly.

I use it almost every day. I may have to bite the bullet and just get one of the large gallon tins - if the unit price is significantly cheaper, that will be my best option - figuring out how to work it into my budget will be the challenge.
