these songs are so comforting and i think that was tylers goal to make the musical embodiment of a hug in a album. the songs also sound like a tribute where youve gotten through the long painful years of mental illness and you can say you finally say you are better.

I think the entire album is beautiful and underrated Personally, it's oddness, how different it is from other albums makes it so so so beautiful, how it's filled with rather happier songs (even if it's the propaganda of dema) makes it just odd.. but beautiful.. a different genre, which still sounds so tøp.. this is what makes it awesome And of course, it sounds amazing the production of some songs is great. Not sure why it gets that much hate since... Twenty one pilots have never stuck to one genre but okayy

It's obviously intentional for the lyrics to be transparent and kind of flexible. Certain lines can be interpreted in multiple ways. For a child, for a best friend, for a wife. But also, mostly to his relationship with creativity and process of creation through music, which he had known for 13 years, since he started to create music on a serious level in 2007-08. And the music/able to create is so formidable to him because when he was feeling lost he could always turn to it because it knew where to go, because ideas breed purpose. He is now even more afraid than at first time when he started to create because of how it is a big part of his life. He says 13 years ago he didn't know what I was but he played it, and now it has grown on him.

After long Time i'm giving this album a second chance. And... Damn, it's really good. Maybe i need some Time and some kind of detoxication after brilliant "Trench", but now i really appreciate how "scaled and icy" sounds.

I remember an interview I saw a long time ago, and Tyler had said he was afraid of not being a good father or something, so when he said "I'm afraid of you now more than I was first" I think it's because of that And when he says "could you take me everywhere you ever been" it's because they have fans all over the world and they want to meet them It's just my point of view, from what I understand in the song, but it could be about Josh too :)
within the last several weeks, my two best friends seem to have decided that i'm no longer worth the effort my anxiety and fear bring, and i'm absolutely heartbroken, though i really can't fault them for it. i wish i could have shown them this song and used it to explain myself to them. so many of the lyrics express what i feel for them so well. just even the title, "formidable." i held so much love for them but also so much fear. being more afraid of someone the closer you get to them, wanting to go everywhere with them but warning them you might by cynical and clinical to them because of your own self doubts... i feel like this isn't a song you're supposed to break down crying to, and yet here i am. i'm grateful for twenty one pilots and how they are able to put into song the things i feel so much. they've done it with many songs, but the fact that this one just came out while i'm going through this... it makes me feel some type of way. thank you for the cathartic cry. thank you for making me feel less alone. and thank you for the hours of music i'm going to listen to on repeat as i try and figure out what to do with my life now.

This song will forever be linked to my cat Egon. He was about to be one year old but he passed a few days before his birthday. I don't know how exactly, but I was driving alone that day and this song just came on spotify all of a sudden and I swear I tensed up so bad. I cannot explain it but I felt like this song is something that he must have felt back when he was still alongside me. He was the smartest, most loyal, and affectionate cat I had and I'm pretty sure there will be no other like him. I am convinced that this song will not exist without his thought appearing in my head anymore, and I am glad that he was a true wingman through the hard times I've had in the past year or so. He was a true blessing, and no matter how much I wish he was still here, I will forever remember him until the day I leave this earth as well. I've been there before, and the honest answer to this question is that love will set you free if you just let it grow again. Quite hard to do it as it seems easier to say, but that's how love works, you just gotta believe it as cliche it may sound.

within the last several weeks, my two best friends seem to have decided that i'm no longer worth the effort my anxiety and fear bring, and i'm absolutely heartbroken, though i really can't fault them for it. i wish i could have shown them this song and used it to explain myself to them. so many of the lyrics express what i feel for them so well. just even the title, "formidable." i held so much love for them but also so much fear. being more afraid of someone the closer you get to them, wanting to go everywhere with them but warning them you might by cynical and clinical to them because of your own self doubts... i feel like this isn't a song you're supposed to break down crying to, and yet here i am.
i'm grateful for twenty one pilots and how they are able to put into song the things i feel so much. they've done it with many songs, but the fact that this one just came out while i'm going through this... it makes me feel some type of way. thank you for the cathartic cry. thank you for making me feel less alone. and thank you for the hours of music i'm going to listen to on repeat as i try and figure out what to do with my life now.

This song will forever be linked to my cat Egon. He was about to be one year old but he passed a few days before his birthday. I don't know how exactly, but I was driving alone that day and this song just came on spotify all of a sudden and I swear I tensed up so bad. I cannot explain it but I felt like this song is something that he must have felt back when he was still alongside me. He was the smartest, most loyal, and affectionate cat I had and I'm pretty sure there will be no other like him. I am convinced that this song will not exist without his thought appearing in my head anymore, and I am glad that he was a true wingman through the hard times I've had in the past year or so. He was a true blessing, and no matter how much I wish he was still here, I will forever remember him until the day I leave this earth as well. Until then I know you are up there, waiting for me on the rainbow bridge, see you there small friend. I will forever be grateful for you.
