The game has been developed by RaceWard Studios, part of Nacon Studio Milan, using the same KT Engine as the past two TT games, but with new bike and rider physics transferred from RiMS Racing and then refined. It includes two motorcycle classes from the real-world 2022 TT event, with the 2023 event liveries expected as DLC later in the year.
It's also open-world, traversing the Manx island, with more than just the Snaefell Mountain course included - oh, and there's rain and a photo mode this time too, plus a new career structure.
Here, we have tested the game on both PC and PlayStation 5, with the footage from the PC version.

I was twice during the trophy in 2016 and 2017. and witnessed the death of Davey Lambert. it was tragic. it's really a man's competition and to live at least once in his life and I hope to be able to return there at least 1x. from quebec thank you for this review

It's not to bad for me. I live in Lancashire, so getting to Liverpool for the Sea Cat or a flight locally to the Man is not a problem.
My best m8 lives on the Island so accommodation ain't a problem, especially during TT race week.
I recommend everyone should go. The atmosphere is brilliant, and the Racing is a mind boggling experience. Plus there is entertainment allover the Island. You can't go wrong. There is something very special about the TT . ❤
Don't know if this will help anyone but if you're finding the rider weight transition from left to right too slow, in control settings for steer left and right, turn on rescale for both and set deadzones to 50. Don't ask me how it works but it seemed to do the trick for me.
This worked a treat thanks.
Now they just need to fix the graphics, pop in, frame rate and get the manual gear changes working during a race.
@Stuntman Rich I'm so glad it helped, it made a massive difference for me and meant I could really open the bike up. But the screen tearing and frame rate drops really do need patching asap, especially on a game like this where you're travelling at breakneck speeds and the slightest mistake can ruin your race.
this helped soo much i was genuinly considering refunding the game as i was so quick in tt 2 because of the fast handling and really struggled in this one but this has helped perfectly
What an absolute legend you are. I nearly deleted the game as I thought the weight was so bad but this has helped massively. Spot on👍👍
I have the first two TT's, the motogp's, the Rides, and Rims (yeah I love motorcycle racing. So far TT3 is the most fun I've had in any motorcycle racing game. The only complaint I have is the bad frame rate drops in the heavy wooded turns especially in the rain. Running on the ps5 btw
The handling model looks good (the only good feature on RiMS Racing). TT2 had that horrible camera that zoomed in when you were braking.
@@humandroid53 the physics are excellent. That's one of the reasons I think it's so fun. Plus ripping around in the open world is such a great addition. Sometimes I just want to ride and not compete.
I really enjoyed Ride 4 and RiMS racing but I was hesitant about buying TT3 after watching some videos today. You saying it is the most fun you've had in any motorcycle racing game has got me rethinking

Yes the Sound and physics are absolut good!!and yes the frame rate of ps5 is very bad.and i habe a Sound bug on the kawasaki .but cool games
Having played ride on the edge 1 and 2 and enjoyed both versions and played Rims racing, I just know this is going to be the best iomtt sim ever

Excellent review. The main thing is that the handling model is good which it seems to be and it looks good. Definitely on my wishlist.

Is it just me, or is the game locked at 60 fps on PC? ROTE2 was able to run up to 144fps but I cannot find any options or information anywhere.
I got this game from yesterday and I must say... More balanced arcade with some simulation pushes but it's far far way better than iomtt 1 & 2 together and even more enjoyable than Ride 4. I think that pure simulation could be too difficult for many many players.

@@lices Ride 4 it's only good graphics and nothing more so yes TT3 it's more enjoyable. Ride 3 was much better than 4 unfortunately so Ride 5 will be the same like 4 again for sure.

The dualsense features in this game add a lot to the immersion! The trigger for the gas isn’t always pressurized like in ride 4 but it has different sensations when driving and makes sounds when shifting. Since there’s no real ffb handlebars to attach to my sim rig this is probably the best way to play this game. Speaking of which, I would completely buy a bike attachment if they made it for fanatec or thrustmaster bases! Not sure how it would work but I’m all for it!!

Can anyone figure out how to get manual shifting to work in the ‘Custom’ events section???!!?!??!
I’ve tried even beginning the race in automatic, then changing to manual after I’ve gotten off the start line, but NOPE… stuck in the current gear, zero shift-ability ….
Is this just yet another massive glitch in this game, or am I missing something…….
It's such a relief. I own the first two and the Snaefell circuit is a faithful as ever, but it now has the handling it always cried out for. The devs have absolutely nailed the feeling of steering with the back wheel, shifting your weight and adjusting the turn with the throttle. With no assists, this is the best handling bike game available today.
The far-distance landscapes are bloody awful though.
I play this on my steam deck, definitely my goto game if I have an hour to spare.
I hope there will be some historic bikes DLC like TTIOM2.

I have played the first 2 and I think the 3 rd game looks vastly superior to the first 2 , just the physics alone look way better , and I’m glad they have chosen to make the improvements that I’m seeing ! The graphics also look vastly superior to the first 2 games ! So I will def be pickin this up , once I find a good sale for it !
So if you crash you cant respawn and carry on? I think it would take me a very long time to complete a full lap.
Oh, you do respawn if you crash - you just can't use a 'rewind'-style feature.
Ps store has this game on sale for 32 dollars so I grabbed it. Anxiously waiting for the download to give it a go

I have first 2 iterations which I liked despite their issues but having recently got Ride 4 I can see it’s a much better bike sim. My money is going to Ride 5 I’m both sad and happy to say.
Ride 4 is bad. The brakes never lock. You can pull the front brakes and your rider will never flip
The first two games had unpredictable handling quirks. Is this one better?

Sadly no they still haven't fixed it - I had the same bizarre crashs as in previous games. Seems that this is part of the physics engine and there is nothing they can do about it...
Sadly i think i will wait until this is in a sale.
Any annoyed with the rider turn rate? From one side to the other?
In control settings for steer left and right, turn on rescale for both and set deadzones to 50. Don't ask me how it works but it seemed to do the trick for me.

I've just played this game and I discovered that the career mode has been replaced with "Season" mode with real world rider.... I hope they could add custom rider and customization like they did with RiMS Racing in the past, too...
Its a pity you can unlocked past legends with bikes or do career is sidecar especially as some people are sidecar fans before beimg a solo fan myself included

This looks graphically a bit rough. The pop-in isn't good. I enjoyed the first game a lot even though the bikes were a bit twitchy.

The pop-ins and draw distance is a deal breaker for me. Forza 5 had (still has) the same issues. I've even tried to ignore it, but it just kills the immersion and I lose interest.
A better option would be not adding stuff that creates poop-ins

I like the game its good but find the chase cam is the only view i can really play the game in. Really hope we will get more tracks and locations though gets boring too quickly race around the same island.
That's the same for most people, the other angles are extra tricky!

I would need to play it myself to get a feel. But... From the looks: modded AC looks way better. Even Ride 3. Hard. Looks are not that important to be, but this really looks old.
While i am a huge fan of the TT and a Bike Rider for over 15 Years i am moooore interested in bikes in general and was hoping for a bit more that just straight TT. A Game as a Basis for Bikes and just riding. I am not the biggest RIDE fan, but that's what we have :/ I know this is primarily a TT Game, but it feels like a missed oppotunity.
Also Sound. Man :/ Shame i am not interested in Riders of the real world and licenses in games.

When they said 32 tracks the actual is 32 sections of 8 tracks. When they say no 30 day guarantee in outlets like Argos is because the PS4 can not render the Track when there is more than two bikes in proximity. Free roam is ok mostly but so many challenges are unplayable due to the rendering and frame rate issues.
How they get the licence to sell faulty goods and why PSN sell it.
Personally it's that kind of game that surely would be ok to try, but it won't be a main game so I'll pass on this title. The new MotoGP game is just a maybe, and my gut feeling still tell me Ride 5 is the way to go.
I only got Ride 4 and I've bailed on any other title after it, because I just did not believe enough in any of them. So far my gut feeling has done me well.
I have no want or desire to purchase every kind of these games. I just want one main game to play, as simple as that. That being said it is time for a replacement, and I just hope Milestone have learned from their Ride 4 launch. Just making lots of big changes to the point you have no idea where the physics will end up, is a very bad idea. They started listening to the people who said that the game was too hard, and when you reward people who are not going to make an effort you are shooting yourself in the foot. This was the biggest mistake, and next time around they should ignore such people because if a game is too hard you just need to try harder. It's not rocket science.
The Ride and MotoGP games are very unrealistic though.
Love the first 2 games but i doubt ill be buying this, simply put it doesnt look like fun to play.

This game is not fit for purpose as it is riddled with bugs and runs incredibly badly on the PS4
The game is currently on update 1.03. it still crashes, judders and still has the crazy “grass speed bumps” which were supposed to have been fixed.
Having struggled to fight through the bugs to complete a season, I could not even qualify for a tt race as the game refused to change gear higher than 4th and the road was littered with the aforesaid “grass speed bumps”.
To add insult to injury, the bots go through these speed bumps with no issue after, of course, doing their best to smash you off the course.
It is disgusting reflection of current attitudes to game development that paying punters are expected to do the testing that should be done by game studios before release.
