OMG thank you for not making this video an hour just to hear yourself talk. Too many youtubers think they get paid by the word & bonus points if they talk slowly. Very helpful Thank you.
Straight to the point is what I aim for! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for being straight to the point! I hate when I have a project to do and watch a how to video that is so long!
You are welcome! Thank you for watching and being able to see that I try to get straight to the point and help someone like yourself understand what to do while not wasting any time. :) Thanks for commenting also.
Thx - was lost reading the manual & only got this done due to your video...... thank you!
You got it! Glad my video helped you out! Nice work getting at it and a big Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Great thanks for the speed and not wasting time. Sooo appreciated that.
Less time watching, more time working! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Colton - our GC installed one of these shower rods for us a couple of years ago. Now we are finding that the curve goes down instead of out. Is there an easy way to fix this problem? Thank you
So, I'm curious what your source is saying that the curve goes down. I think of at least 3 reasons why it goes outward and not down.
1. Gravity
2. These rods are made to create more room in the shower not play peek a boo
3. They just don't
Toss out the instruction sheet! Your video simplified everything. I wasted an hour trying to follow the instructions. Found your video and installed the rod in no time. Thank you!! ❤️
Woo hoo!! So glad to hear it! Thanks for watching and commenting and glad this video was useful :)
This made the install super fast, thank you. Helpful tip if your bath tub has tile that you have to drill through, use tape to prevent the drill bit slipping.
Great suggestion! Thanks for adding that tip and thanks for watching and commenting!
Yours was the only video that helped! I just moved into a new apartment and didn't realize this required screwing in screws, measuring, etc. Your video made it easy. Mine looks great and will last!
Awesome!!! Thanks for watching Carol and glad this video helped :) great job at installing yours!
Your video was very helpful!! We just moved into a new house and for once we actually needed a shower curtain and your video made the process very easy.
Awesome! Well congrats on a successful move to your new place!! 👏 thanks for watching and commenting :)
Directions mine as well have been useless however your take on the directions incredibly helpful took 30 mins 👍
Love it. Nice work getting it done so quick. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hello Colton, do you where I can get the mount replacement? Only the mount?
I don't to be honest. You could check to see if the company that made the curtain rod sells parts on their website. But if you purchased the one from Target that I listed, you would need to probably just buy a whole new rod set.
Hello Colton. Thank You for this great installation video. Can you let me the name of the curved shower rod you bought and where you purchased your shower rod? Thank You in advance.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Here is the shower rod I purchased: www.target.com/p/72-34-tapered-end-cap-curved-aluminum-shower-curtain-rod-tension-or-permanent-mount-made-by-design-8482/-/A-53127638
Thanks for sharing.....I had to look this up to share with someone who doesn't care about paying attention to details😤
Hopefully it worked out! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Are you nailing through studds?
These screws were going into studs yes. If there isn't any wood support behind the sheetrock, I'd highly recommend some anchors for the screws to secure into.
So easy and helpful, Thanks!! Also so random but I have the same shower curtain lol
Its a good one! Haha thanks for watching!!
Thank you! Your video was so helpful ✔
Thank you! Thanks for watching
I’m confused. How am I positioning the anchor next to the shower curtain mark? Also, would you use a curved shower rod if you were putting up 2 shower rods to layer your curtains? If so, would you put it in or out?
So when you layer just double it up on the hooks. Use 1 rod, get your hooks, and put both layers on the same hooks. Put a plain plastic or clear on the inside to get wet, then your prettier plastic or cloth is on the outside not getting wet. That help?
Thanks for posting this!!!
Welcome James! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for being straightforward and detailed at the same time. Some of these tutorials on UA-cam it’s like…. OMG!!! Get to the point!!! Everyone feels like they have to be Jerry Seinfield.
I'm more of a Cosmo Kramer kind of guy. Lol thanks for watching!
I think you mean Jerry Steinfield
Thank you great help!

How do I mount shower rod at an angle? Without it falling ?
Depends what angle you are trying to mount it to. The ends of this shower rod swivel a little so they are semi forgiving, but if it's an intense angle like a shower in the upstairs bathroom of a peaked ceiling, id get some sort of block or molding that would make up the difference of the angle to then be straight. Paint the block of you can buy almost like a wedge or a shim, just larger to not have a slant anymore. That help?
@@ColtonCrumpDIY Well, thanks. I guess my question was not very clear. The curtains are for corner shower. 2 rods cantelever from 90 degree wallsand meet at 90 Deg. The 90 Deg corner in space keeps deeping ⬇⬇⬇ due to weight of curtain.
Gotcha. If it's a corner shower, this probably isn't the right solution. You may need one of those 90 degree shower rods that actually have a wire or rod to support the 90 degree corner. Then get 2 curtains. Or there are some or there that have 1 rod and stay up. Try searching up "corner shower curtain rod", you'll need one of those.
Thank you! I have the exact rod to install and the written instructions were making me crazy.
You are welcome! Hopefully this helps!

Yw!
What do you do if you only want to use the tensioners and not screws... but the tensioners don't work?...
Then use the screws
Ha kidding. I had to. You set it up so well. So what part of the tensioner isn't working? Do you twist and it doesn't tighten?
@@ColtonCrumpDIY that's right, and the inner bar's tensioner will release from the bar completely, the outer bar seems attached. Neither one adjusts
So there's typically 3 types of tensioners.
A. 1 solid rod with a big bolt like tightener on the end to twist
B. 2 rods where one of the rods twist to tighten
C. 2 or even 3 rods with a tightening mechanism in the middle
I would recommend putting both of your ends of the rod up where you want it, twist one rod at a time to see if there are any changes. Generally if something is broken, you can tell by any weird sounds, lack of structural strength, or it just seems off. Happy to see what you have if you shoot over some images via email also to coltoncrumpdiy@gmail.com
Thanks for this my fiancé sux!
Happy to help!
Not all of us men know household shit you know. We all learn something everyday 🤣💀
Very helpful, but dude slow down and don't talk so fast.:-)
I try to keep my demonstrations under 5 minutes. I'll try talking a little slower but I'll still edit the same where the steps are back to back
I appreciate help, but went too fast...ty anyway
Sorry! I'm talking slower in my newer videos. Thank you for commenting though!
Which way does it curve. Missing most critical context
It curves outward. The whole purpose of the curved shower rod is to give you more space in the shower. If it curved inward, it would make your shower smaller, which would defeat the purpose.
Curves inward for skinny people 😀
@@marlboromatt5656 😂😂
Title says curved rod, that's misleading. Basically you installed it on a straight line parallel to the tub, not on a curved line parallel to a curved shower basin
Talked way too fast!
