Generating some sales on a new batch of books is the ultimate validation-a real, live human being has found your book in the Amazon store and decided that they like it enough to spend their hard-earned money on it. And once you’ve experienced that initial success, it’s time to see just how much more juice you can squeeze from that niche.
Today, I'll be talking about four key ways to double-down on your success-and, in which scenario each one works best.

the compilation work for that book is amazon, definetively you should validate but the book is worth it 9816 niches for low content book at amazon
Great stuff Rachel! Love your videos. You mention putting a flower motif on the cover with no words....how do you go about putting a cover up with no words? KDP says it has to be on the cover or the spine, but I see plenty of books on Amazon with no words on the cover. So it kind of confuses me. Thank for your time!
Hi Jo! Your title does have to appear on your book, but it can be located on the spine rather than the cover. Your subtitle does not have to appear anywhere on the book.
Rachel can you made a video about the book "9816 KDP NICHES FOR LOW CONTENT BOOK" at amazon please?
When you did additional sizes for your winning designs, did you change anything tiny bout the covers?
Good advice for 2019, but now 2024, doubling down, really niching down should be done at the start. A simple Daily Planner would drown in the sea of planners.
Rachel, as always, you nailed it! Thank you, it was very informing and helpful. I have a question concerning 7 additional keywords: do you stick with the same keywords putting your first couple of books testing the niche? Or you experiment with different “packs”? I hope you understand what I mean..:)
Thanks again for the kind words! I will usually use most of the same keywords, but I might mix a few different ones in for particular books, if one or two have them have a slightly different theme. Or I might try a couple different "packs" to test out different words.
I understand:)) I makes sense, to stick mainly to the primary research pack, and slightly make different changes depending on covers motives etc. I must admit, however, that sometimes I’m lost in lack of knowledge. For example, I don’t know if “ guest book” and “guest books” (plural) are separate keywords or singular is included in plural:))) are there any resources you would recommend on increasing knowledge in keywords area?
@Rachel, Sorry for offtopic but I am very very confused with one point. That is the size of Journal and Planner in KDP. I feel 5 x 8 is good size that makes a journal portable and there will be good area to write. But I can see most people go with 6 X 9 size. So what's your thought on size. I can understand it would vary according to niche or topics covered but what sizes should we consider most while designing journal and planner interior.
I would suggest experimenting and finding out what works for you. I find 6x9 sells best for me for journals and planners, but the smaller ones I've created do sell some as well. The main thing to ask is, "does this size make sense for this book?" For example, a horizontal planner doesn't really make sense. But feel free to experiment.
@@RachelHarrisonSund Thanks a lot. Just one last point. I am feeling journal is portable than planner. So I feel I should go 6 x 9 mostly for journal sizes. But I am little confused about planner size. I feel the bigger 8.5 x 11 size may fit well for planners like teacher planner, budget planner etc where people may need space. What's your thought on size of planner? Do you think 6 x 9 is good option for MOST planner as well?
yeah that 9816 niches book has toons of niches! you need to validate but ideas are HUGE
Can I ask 1 more question?:)) can you give an advice what kind of books sells great in Q4? Having couple of weeks till Q4 what would you suggest ?:)
Since I've had the most success with planners, I always generate new planners at this time of year. I'll also be thinking about Christmas and New Year's themed books (party guest books, themed kid's books, etc.), as well as any type of book that someone might buy someone else for a Christmas present (kids books, etc.)
Thank you so much for this video. I want to know if you are using Creative fabrica site for your books designs or not and what you think about it? Also i want to know images and graphics recources you use. Thanks again 😉
Hi Jeams! To be honest, I don't know what Creative Fabrica is! I'll have to check that out. For images, I mostly use DepositPhotos. They have a deal every year, 100 credits for $40.
@@RachelHarrisonSund Thank you so much
Heya! I just wanted to know-early on question- do you just use the same interior and change the covers? Or do you recreate each time? Newbie here.
Hi jade! I use the same interior for about 10-20-ish books, sometimes making small tweaks to better fit a particular audience. I certainly recommend reusing where possible, but don't overdo it by creating hundreds of books with the same interior.
I also would like to know the book what you are talking about!! is the low content book niches at amazon?
