- This original 1993 colourway of the Air Jordan 8 has returned after its last retro which released a decade earlier. The "Playoff" colourway features a black nubuck upper with white and red coloured accents, true to what MJ wore enroute to his third NBA Championship. My very first ever Air Jordan. I was 11 years old (1993) when my mom got me and my younger brother the sneakers and we brought to school in the Dominican Republic. Let's just say we were walking on Air (everyone at the school) looking and touching the sneakers. Some of my friends wanted to try it on. HUGE MJ fan at the time. Wore the sneakers while watching MJ play in the playoff that year and winning the ring. What a feeling!
I might have to buy them again for sentimental value.
It’s crazy how Jordan’s got every one looking at your feet in school especially because only a handful of people out the whole school had em my mom wasn’t spending that kind of money on sneakers more like $80 with tax 😂😂😂 but I’ve grown and bought everything I couldn’t get back then and some I could only look at em on feet at school or the eastbay book ahhh the memories of being a kid are priceless
My Jordan year sneaker! Born on 9/3, won his 3rd ring in this, and came out on 9/30 for its 30th anniversary while I’m 30! Had to cop!
I was waiting for your review, Sean! These were the very first Jordans I had in my life, the baby OG versions to be exact! I still have them to this day, and I'm glad I got the W on these! 😁

Absolutely in love with mine. They aren't "perfect" but very close to the OG, which were my first pair of jordans ever back in 1993. Glad I could double up on these.

I agree w you Sean. This is just another classic colorway I can’t pass on regardless of current trends. I do prefer the Aquas more but you can’t go wrong w these. It’s the sock liner graphic n the chenille patch that do it for me

I still have my OGs from 1993, they were a 100% must cop!! For sizing I went with my Air Max size (13), which is 0.5 up from my size in current Jordan 3s (12.5) and they fit perfectly!!
Do you leave a bit of space for your toes with your Jordan’s?

I have a crispy pair of the 2013 and ended up picking up a pair of the 2023. It blows the 2013 out the water and super happy I picked up a pair. If Jordan actually worse then and succeeded in them, being a fan, I want them ! lol he won his 3 chip and 1st 3-peat. That to me equals an automatic cop ! And lastly, the shape! Man! Best shape since the OG hands down!

My first 8s were the Cool Grey 8s. I thought those were the most comfortable thing I had ever had on feet in 2017.
Bro this is my second pair of 8s that I had in a while my very first pair were the Bugs 🐰 back in 2013 and surprisingly I had to go half size down in these even with my wide flat feet it’s also because length wise my feet aren’t that long which is why I was able to pull of the 1/2 size down 🤷♂️. Width wise even going a half size down was more snug, but not to the point where I had to stick TTS since TTS for me in my case had good toe space but surprisingly felt too generous even when walking in them they felt quite big length wise which is why I had to swap them for a 1/2 size down at my nearby Champs ✌️.

Anyone else have bent strobel boards in these? There is a crease in my strobels under the ball of my foot on the medial side on both shoes. It is uncomfortable! But I love the shoe
Got my pair and I'm happy with the quality. I already have the 2015 Aquas. No other 8 colourways come close to these 2.

The Jordan company needs to bring back the Playoffs in their low form and the white/black/chrome low as well.
