N150 gir 800-830ms. N550 Gir 840-900ms med 140gr kule.
Interesting, thanks for the update and congratulations for becoming a father! One question: why 6.5x47 Lapua instead of Creedmoor? I couldn't get a definitive answer from the video or perhaps I just missed something.
I think the x47 case is a tad more efficient and the tad lower speed is usually a good node with close to 100% powder capacity. A smidge less recoil too. The two are very close.
@@BoltActionsOnly Yeah the trend is real! I've been happy with my 6.5 now for about 18-19 months and it feels good knowing that i wasn't completely off in my calculations
My buddy made a wildcat off 25 WSSM, necked up to 7mm for PRS. He shot the Berger 195gr EOL so ROs would absolutely know when he impacted or missed. It sends plates swinging due to momentum. He ranked in the top 100 Nationally. Calls it 7 Micro. Very fun cartridge & rifle. Super tight SD/ES.
@@LRRPFco52 Can you get me some more information about this? I am fixing to move to 7mm and was headed toward 7SWC before you mentioned this. Velocity, barrel life, how to make the brass, reamer, etc.
@@BoltActionsOnly Go with 7SWC. Biggest challenge with WSSM is brass. My buddy had to modify mags, followers, rig springs with tethers, create multiple feed ramps in the action, and used a +3 AI mag extension to get it to hold 10rds, but he got it running very smooth with no malfunctions or hiccups. He was doing 2550fps with 195gr EOL from a 22" pipe. We're going to shoot it for fun next outing. First time he shot it at a mile, he did a 14" group. His 1000yd group was 3.5", recorded on video. It's a really cool little cartridge.
@@LRRPFco52 This is all very cool. Would be interested in a video if you all wouldn't mind putting one together next time you take it out. I think the 7's are going to get more and more popular in the PRS because of the insane BC the heavies have.
Excellent summary. I use a 6,5x47 for my PRS rifle - very accurate, very easy to shoot even in longer series.
Good decision. Keep us posted on your match results.
👍

Vore ironiskt om cirkeln blir sluten med 6.5x55 igen. Tänker på astronaut-memen "Always has been" :D

Just personal preference, I didn't need the extra capacity of the CM and I have a special place in my heart for the x47 case for some reason.

@@rustynut1967 I believe you are correct on that one
A lot are moving away from the tiny 6's right now.

I started with a 6x47L and lost to no one using a BR or dasher. Same for fclass. Only lost to the big 7mms past 700 yards
6x47 is a solid option as well, but it eats a little too much barrel for me who liked to run my 6BR at 820 and my 6.5x47 at around 800
ive went inbetween with 25 creedmore
