Just found this channel and it’s gold! Bob McClure is a riot! Reminds me of going to Saratoga Raceway as a teenager and watching Frank Coppola Jr and Kim Crawford. Once in a while a driver from Yonkers or New Jersey would come up. My most memorable moment was seeing Walter Case Jr race there in September of 1994.
I grew up in a horse racing family my brother had two 3 year old fillies that were equal in speed he said you go out on top and then let me beat you at the finish line I ignored him and beat him we switched horses the second time he said let him go to the front and I was supposed to push him home but again I ignored him and beat him he was pissed off and I said it was dad's fault he taught me to win. Dad replied that maybe my brother was jealous and said Jim has the talent and he knows horses better than you. I never got a license to drive but the adrenaline was a awesome feeling. Just sucks that michigan lost horse racing my summers were filled with fair racing. I worked construction my whole life and if my family was racing near where I was working I would tell the Forman or company owner that I was feeling sick about noon so I could shoot to the fairgrounds that they were racing at like Charlotte or Hastings or Holland or Allegan all within a hour of where I was working

This mach'd up series, scuse me, mic'd UP is so throughly entertaining. What fun to hear the drivers prattle on about their mounts.
It's the closest I will ever come to driving a horse. Love it!
Fantastic. Great to hear what the driver is thinking.

I like Scotty Young. He should get more horse power and his stats would be quite different.
