- The Launch trailer for the Doom 3 Halo Mod: DOOM 2553.
Set in the year 2553, DOOM 2553 is a mod aiming to bring the events of Doom 3 into the Halo Universe. This includes character models, weapons, scenery objects, sounds and lore.

This trailer was made by Valkyries733, but was HEAVILY based off of a previously existing trailer made by Jack Price. The DOOM 2553 trailer is almost 1:1 with his trailer, and is intended to be a homage to his fan made trailer.

This music is so timeless . Like the game
It's a custom song made for the trailer. Mixes the Doom 3 theme with Champion of Sangelios (Arbiter's theme) from Killer Instinct 2013.
Maybe at least this time the shotgun will have a normal spread.
Holy cow, this looks amazing! I'm actually glad that Doom 3 out of all games are now among the favorite these days. But I have a question. Will this mod work on vanilla Doom 3? Because I hate BFG edition.

This looks so cool! I love Halo and Doom 3 :) Would you wanna convert more weapons into the Halo style? I'm just thinking the Plasma Gun is a lot like Halo's Plasma Rifle, and the Chainsaw could be Halo's Energy Sword! (as like a flurry of sword swings)
Plasma gun could also be reskinned to the storm rifle to make things easier! I think Buddy chose the SAW just for an easy reason to keep the gun's info screen.

It would be cool if some gameplay features (not everything) from Overthinked Doom 3/Perfected Doom 3 were incorporated in a future update for this.
Like melee bashing for all weapons (just like in Halo), Super Shotgun in Doom 3 campaign, akimbo pistols, some alternate weapon attacks/functions (SMG zoom, Plasma Gun Flamethrower function, BFG railgun shot, extra Soul Cube attacks, ect), ally marines, proper explosion gibbing for small/low-tier enemies, ect.
Overthinked would go great with this. I've been playing around with the Sikkmod included to see if I can cut way back on spawned weapons, ammo, supplies etc. while forcing more scavenging from bodies

For a sec i thought its some doom mod that improves models of characters and weaons, give different armor to marines so it dont look weird, but as soon i saw halo gun, and that shotgun i went into description and well, my hopes died really soon, i mean halo is great game but i really love fan remasters than combining themes of two different games. I really wish there will be D3 overhaul or something, like weapons and onster will work differenty, imroved models and changed armor so it look more like protectve combat armor instead of a chest plate with a giant pipes coming out of it. Still thius doom halo mod look very amazing and i love how enchanted the models are, finally Swann and Betruger not gonna look weird in those cutscened, idk those bald heads just make the polygons more visible to my brain lmao

I'm new to DOOM 3 so i didn't know there's a mod for it, what is this mod exactly? is it like an overhaul the campaign, new enemies npc behavior, completely new story & plot and stuff?
it basically just puts the events of doom 3 in the halo universe. Same general story, but some things are changed to set it in the halo universe.
Weapons, character models and props are entirely replaced. PDAs are updated, etc.
You're still fighting demons on mars, just in the halo universe.

Why not? Modding games is fun. Classic Doom 1/2 are even older and yet have one of the biggest modding community out there with tons of fantastic content being made.
If you want to play vanilla Doom 3, then just don't touch mods! Other people making and downloading them will never affect your experience.
