I like how JYB has improved on his Z Broly. He can tweak it a bit more and he’ll just be like Vic’s Broly but in his own way! You can actually tell the difference of how menacing JYB’s range of voice he can make! I’m proud of him.

I think rather than manually animate the mouths like they'd usually do, they used a technique in which it plays an animation (in this case we'll call it MOUTH_OPEN) using the intensity of the waveform of the voice clip to decide how far into the animation it should go. (So let's say it has 30 frames and two key frames, frame 0 has the mouth shut, frame 30 has the mouth open. The loudness of the waveform dictates what frame the animation should play to before returning to 0. So let's say again, the waveform's loudest is 10db, then if the segment of the voice line is 5db, then the animation will play to frame 15) TL;DR they used the loudness of the voiceline to dictate when the mouth moves. (this is just speculation btw, but as someone who has used that technique before, it certainly seems that's how they did it)
I kinda like Johnnys new z broly. Its leagues better than his first attempts. Just needs a tiny bit of refinement and hell have it nailed. Vics not coming back, but i like that Johnny is starting to fall into his own voice for z broly.

Z Broly to me is akin to a Slasher villain like Jason or Michael Myers. In action, he's a relentless unstoppable monster who's a blast to see in action. But there's also an element of tragedy in his past well, like how he was punished for his immense strength as a saiyan despite strength being revered in saiyan society, and the psychological trauma lingering on to him in the present day. Also it's funny how people lambast Z Broly for being a hulking rage machine who doesn't speak, when Super Broly is the one who becomes a non vocal rage monster when fighting for the rest of his movie. Not saying I dislike Super Broly or that he has no charcater.
