I don’t care that it’s overpriced, I play guitar and this set is a dream come true for me
Bro same
Same lol
Same
Felt that bro
Exactly
I'll go ahead and take one for the team and attempt to build this in a left handed configuration
Thank you in advance
Yes 🙌
point the instruction book in front of a mirror, that would probably work pretty good
pain
Please do so!
It's cool that they actually used strings instead of prints or stickers for them.
Lol i thought they’d be grill pieces
W 100 i was expecting it to be playable, but oh well
Bruh its 100 bucks
@@johntimothypascual854 You know I could SEE that having happened but that would have likely driven the price up another $80 or so I think
I’m more of a lego starwars kind of person but boyfriend plays guitar and he’s gonna love this for christmas. Is it worth $100? No I would say $80 is better but it’s a great display piece.
Just a warning it really doesn’t actually look much like the guitar it’s supposed to be. It’s still kinda cool but it’s not something that a guitar lover could really look at in the same way as an guitar or a picture of guitar.
@@krekcabnow2910 As a guitar lover I would say it is fairly accurate for the size, the headstock looks more like a jumbo and the curves a bit sharp but i love it and would love to recieve it as a gift
i reccomend saving a little bit more and just straight up buying a squier. You can get one for around 220-230
@@uzey8749 he probably already has enough guitars, this is a nice thoughtful gift from a girlfriend. I would enjoy it alot
Now we just need a Fender Jazz bass.
That would be so sick!
As a long-time Lego fan and someone who also plays a Jazz bass, I would lose my mind if Lego made one. Instant buy!
I've got one of the Lego off brand but smaller than regular pieces in a fender jazz.
Since the Jazz bass body and headstock shapes are so similar to a Start, perhaps just use this set and slightly reduce the body size so the proportions fit using this set’s fretboard. And of course only 2 pickups and 4 string tuners.
@@samsmelser_ yo same! do u think we have the same one? mine had korean or japanese writing on the packaging
@@lunbun1471 yes, it was an orange and white cube shaped box with Japanese or Korean on it
As a guitar player and music nerd, I'm blown away by this. It's well detailed and accurate plus all the cool sides like the combo amp, switch pedal and a cool Lego strap.
Even if it is a bit overpriced I might get two to display both guitars and stack the amps
Great idea mate!
I thought the pedal was a fuzz face
For the build, and how you technically get 2 guitars in one, I think it’s well worth the price
Now we just wait for the designer interview to talk about this amazing Yamaha guitar
Bro this gold
Which also doubles as a telecaster
Some of the curves look more like a sting ray bass to me.
@@krekcabnow2910 tbh man it looks like a strat copy. Solid attempt but for $100?
@@strummyboi3100 i just got a bullet for 50 and did a refinish - installed some fleor alnico v pick ups and locking tuners . it was just a bit over what i would have paid for this lego guitar but , its a playable yellow strat . not saying this lego isnt cool but it should be more afoardable .
My son played a left handed Stratocaster. He died last year and would have absolutely loved this set. I kind of want to buy it and build it to put in his room. Really awesome.
@Anonymouse huh?
@Anonymouse yes he really died. He was 18. That’s really a shitty thing of you to suggest a mom would lie about something like that.
@Anonymouse he was actually great! I miss hearing him play his music like you wouldn’t believe. His name was Christian. Don’t feel like a shithead just maybe think before you say something next time.
@@barbaramoss6917 That sucks, I hate how people don’t believe you in the internet if you say you’re a parent or something. Its a pretty shitty thing for people to think that everyone in the internet is a child/person who wants attention saying a family member died or whatever.
@@barbaramoss6917 Respect
My boyfriend is a guitarist and loves legos so I got him this for Christmas super excited for him to open it!!
He’ll probably read your comment bruh
W girlfriend
Lucky guy
It's crazy how guitars are getting better and yet cheaper over time! Many years ago a Stratocaster with Fender Champ would cost more than 1000 USD, now you could get this fender set for only 100 USD, I am impressed!
Is the tone wood on this guitar good? I’m looking forward to upgrading from my Stratocaster 60s classic vibe!
As a guitar player I respect the amount of effort out into this when it comes to your vocabulary and your knowledge of the parts of the guitar.
As a metal guy, I’d love to see them do something like a Jackson or a Charvel, paired with an EVH 5150. They have license, they could do it!
The fender license*
They should make explorer or v
@@jimi1943 or a classic lp
@@lorenzogv8810 of course, the Fender Les Paul.
Jackson RR please!
I just finished mine last night and was blown away by the detail. As a guitar player/nerd, this is ideal. The guitar looks fantastic and I love that they actually use strings rather than prints. The amp...you build tubes and a reverb tank?? Come on now. Amazing
Bought this for my son's birthday. The amount of detail in this set is unreal. Well worth the money in my opinion.
but does it djent?
Lmao i didnt think id see this comment here
My father introduced me to Lego as a kid and now as I’m an adult I bought this set for us to build together. We were both mesmerized by the amount of detail LEGO added to this set. It looks so good next to our Fender Precision bass and Rumble 500 amp
My only issue with this set is 4 extra pieces would have given me the option of a maple neck. Just in case anyone is thinking David Gilmour or like me, they prefer the look of a maple neck. Otherwise, the guitar is great in this set but the amp is on another level. It's amazing.
That’s the kind of thing… That someone out there in the world can 3-D print for you. They probably already doing it.
I'm a guitarist and LEGO worshiper so having only just found your page with this Fender set is a dream come true - thank you much!! 🎸❤
I love that the lipstick pieces can make the instrument cables look a little frayed and exposed. The vacuum tubes and capacitors of the interior are also a really nice addition. Overall this was a fun build but I feel the black body will sadly remain in the box as it doesn't look as iconic on display. Makes me wish I could afford classic red strat but, unfortunately, I don't have $30,000 lying around.
It’s so amazing to see your own guitar made out of Lego. Even if Strats are pretty basic in shape and design (look at all the “copies” by so many brands other than Fender!), I’m genuinely dazzled at the idea of having a tiny guitar like this lol
I wonder if you can make a real amp with that little thing lol
Cool, sliding the box instead of hitting the table with it. Makes sense since it's the Lego Fender Stratocaster review 😎
Red or black, both colors look good, and a teal or other color versions would also be fine. (The custom dudes will do all those)
The additional amp details are awesome, they really worked on this one !
pretty cool set...was really impressed with the details given to the amp (circuitry, tubes, inputs, speaker, reverb tank...very cool)...
It’s nice that he’s a guitarist other people reviewing this would be like... yeah so you’ve got 3.... things, cylinder things... uh ya
Where do you get that idea from? I thought it was pretty obvious he is not an electric guitar player as otherwise you don't mix up an output for an input! Lol!
I love this set so much. Very sentimental for me. Got my 1st guitar when I was 16 and it is a squire strat. So when I saw this set I bought it. Very excited to build it.
Wow I already wanted the piano, and now this?!
This is better than the piano
@@cirvoo why?
Very well done, even has the vacuum tubes for the amplifier. This is awesome
Put the set together last week. As a guitar player, I can only say: Yes, the 100 euros. are worth it!
I love the guitar and especially the inside of the AMP is awesome!
This Set looks realy sick!
i don’t even play guitar and this seems so cool, i love it. i may get it to display next to my record player
I made mine into a Frankenstrat this Christmas. You basically take the red and black and mod out pieces so you get that iconic EVH theme and then for the pick guard just do partial.
love the detail
This sets amp with the mega construx fender stratocaster is killer.
Im a beginner guitarist (by that i mean i can play 5 ukelele chords with the top 2 strings muted) and i find this set awesome! Im actually getting one soon, and i also think it's so cool how they made actual "strings"
Ultimately I feel that this set is more so a rendering of the guitar rather than a model. Like it really doesn’t look like a fender s style guitar. I sorta have to guess that it’s a strat and assume what it’s supposed to look like. And honestly the lego doesn’t capture aesthetic of a strat it actually sorta reminds me of a music man guitar. The amp feels much more like a miniature and doesn’t suffer from that affliction as much.
I bought this and its amazing. I knew I wanted it the moment I saw it because if nothing else some of the greatest music of all time was played on the Strat.
Awesome set, I’ll think about it.
I hope they continue this with telecaster and jazzmaster sets, each paired with a unique Fender amp.
Woooow amazing video!!! I suscribe right now!!! Master piece!!!!
The whole set capture the details guitar players would really appreciate
Thank you! Giving to my adult son, whose first guitar is a red strat...He loves legos too!
You could also swap out red for black bricks (or any other colour for that matter) to create a unique design perhaps? Would have preferred it around the £70 mark though as nearly £90 is expensive
Ok that’s being added to my wish list
Been playing guitar for 10+ years. Definitely buying this
This is ridiculously detailed…
I love it
They should make a music series for example making other different instruments like a precision bass guitar (like the one I have) drums, pianos etc I’d definitely buy every single one I listed and more
They should have made it playable, that would’ve been amazing.
I am a huge lego fan, and I have basically the exact same guitar and amp to go with it, so I kind of have to get it.
My mom got this for me on Christmas its pretty cool
Personally , don't play guitar. But my favorite genre is rock and 80s , so this is still perfect
As a guitarist I was happy that he nailed all the vocab lol
Except for the amp having “tuning” nobs
@@JeremyTalaczynski true lol
I wonder if they’ll start to make signature models.
I’d love to see Tom Delonge’s Gibson ES-333 model.
OMG another guitar I need in my life. And hubby can’t complain about the price since a real fender is a lot more , I wish they would do SSH just because it’s what I got but that won’t stop me from begging for it.
well thats gonna be the cleanest fretboard i'll ever own
I don’t care about the price I’m am a massive lego fan and I play and love guitar so as soon as I saw this set I was in shock
The amp internals are unbelievably cool
they should make a scale guitar, as it set, it would be expensive, but super cool
The amp is amazing.
Compared to the Grand Piano from the IDEAS series, I'm not terribly impressed with this one. They could've done that a lot better. I am impressed with the amp though
I NEED a bass like this
Love it, and if they bring out a precision bass model I'll spend another €100 on that too!!
I'm tempted to get it only because I'm a huge fender fan
Alright, now it’s time to get a Brian May Red Special for us to build.
I hope Philip McKnight does an in depth sound demo of this guitar and amp.
I hope Lego comes out with a Fender Telecaster to go with this Stratocaster. Maybe they could release a Fender bass guitar as well.
They should make a Flying V if they ever do a partnership with Gibson as well
A Flying V would probably be achieved better through the lego format.
That’s awesome 👏🎸
You've managed to squeeze a rogue R into Stratocaster there, buddy. Might want to fix that.
Because you have both a red and black body, can't you combine them to have a red burst kind of colouring
I looked up 'lego electric guitar' on a whim and was surprised to find that this was a set!
For $100, you can buy a red Squier Strat. The real one. 🤣🤣🤣
its nice that its all printed lots of lego has stickers now a days
I cant believe how many guitarists get their stuff wrong here. Just to nerdly clear things up:
-the princeton reverb does NOT come with a "dirty" or "lead" channel, quite the opposite: it has an additional "bright" input next to the normal one. Note that this not a separate channel.
-Also two of the "inputs" on the back are in fact outputs: one for reverb, and one for an external speaker.
-The golden speaker magnet cover (not the cone) is a nice touch, but does in fact represent a rare speaker for these reissues, that usually not come with the old special design jensen, but with the newer ones with a blue printing.
- guy points to the tubes, pre and post amp ones. they are not wires.
-the plate with the date just represents the serial number plate.
Well, hope you learned something, cheers beeps!
I have this set and it’s amazing but me personally I would have preferred an SG
Ok this may be $100 but for a guitar player this is amazing, the level of detail makes me so happy.
Was this posted somewhere today? Got a ton of views overnight
I would combine the black and red parts with some of my kids white pieces to get some kind of EVH look..........
the amp looks way more interesting than the guitar itself. very nice details.
wish they did it a little bigger so we could have better shapes ://
I'm a fan of Strats and like Lego too but for 100 bucks I could buy a real short-scale electric guitar for my son to play with.
I like the details like the vacuum tubes in the amp.
I just don't understand who the target of this product is. I think that the small details are appreciated among the older generation but they spend their money on real instruments instead of the Lego version.
that moment when the Lego set is more expensive than your whole setup
That would be a really cheap setup
@@2v_5r84 that would be mine
literally had the same thought when buying my strat. red > black
Is tiles being attached vertically to a plate in the circuit board of the amp not an Illegal technique?
No, using smooth tiles is fine now. Currently it's only an illegal technique if the piece is studded
I like the black guitar personally because it looks my guitar i real life
Might get some extra bits and make a 2x12 extension cab
I really wanna see a Gibson les Paul with Marshall’s or something
I need a Schecter version of this ASAP!!!
It's decent, and the amp is very nice, but i think some other guitars, with more defined angles and less curves, such as the Gibson Flying V, Gibson Explore, and the Warlock, would look much better in Lego configuration, because bricks...
FWIW, i have the real deal, a candy apple USA Strat, with maple fretboard.
Looking forward to the Telecaster.
I made mine red with black trim.
I'm sad it doesn't have the option for a black pickguard so I can build my Gilmour replica strat.
I want to see a Les Paul or Flying V guitar as well
aside from the price (which I dont mind) and the neck looking slightly skinny it looks sick as someone with a red fender Stratocaster, confirmed awesome
Is so cuteeeeee!!
No skunk stripe? Really disappointed with Lego’s lack of “attention to detail”. The amp was done way better. How does it sound though?
It doesn't play lol
@@LucaColaMusic Time for a refund!
@@Johnny_Doe Lol!
Haven't bought one, but there's another reason to not get it :)
If they did a les paul with a marshall id def buy that one
Why aren’t I seeing more comments like this?? 😂😂 Especially if they were able to pull off a sunburst finish or a flame maple top like Slash’s AFD Les Paul
i like the black version, mostly because im a clapton fan
i like the set but with lego recoloring sets like the volkswagen, I'm a bit disappointed that they weren't two separate sets of red and black.
wow this is crazy!
in my country, the wholesaler for fender adds 20% margin.
here this set is $159.99
true to form
Are there more instruments by lego?
This is cool
I wouldn't call that a dirty input. It's actually high and low impedance for using either single coils or humbuckers.
I've just built one. The only problem I have is the area where the strings are. There is only one brick to hold it. I had a lot of trouble with the strings. They should have designed it better. Other that, great lego set.
