As a software developer, I'm guessing they did something insane like developing on the Atari St and then porting to the Amiga. That would explain why the St version is faster. It looks like the sprite and scrolling capabilities of the Amiga haven't been used at all - it looks like it's all done in software.
Tiertex was a part of U.S. Gold, the company sucked compared to Ocean / Imagine, i would have loved to have seen their version of SF1 if they converted it, it couldn't possibly be worse than this disgrace,...and the worst thing of all is Tiertex is still in business doing mobile phone games,...what a joke!
Jam Iey Unfortunately Tiertex\U.S Gold ported a lot of stuff to the Amiga.. or rather they ported it to Atari ST then brought that code over to the Amiga.. usually with not optimizations whatsoever.. so that means 16 color graphics and even no hardware scrolling in many cases.

@2010Barbon Wow, and to think because Double Dragon was so bad compared to the arcade version, me and my mate found it such a laugh to play, knocking down 7 guys with one baseball bat swing and the laughable throwing-up sound when they die,...SO FUNNY! (obviously not so funny for DD fans expecting an arcade perfect conversion). I actually own the arcade machine of DD along with others including Street Fighter 1 :-) I'll send you the vid of photos from my SF1 machine and soundtrack.

Appreciated. The focus of the video is actually the Tiertex Developed 'Sequel' Human Killing Machine. The only thing I actually mention (At least on my current revision of the script) regarding my thoughts on the first Street Fighter's arcade version is that I don't feel the graphics have aged as well as some of the other arcade games of the era, though I do touch on the home computer ports a fair bit as a means to give context to Tiertex and all.
The ZX version of SF1 isn't too bad, the characters move fast and backgrounds and characters are drawn quite well but what let's it down is no music at all which is the norm for some reason with Tiertex, maybe they didn't employ anyone who knew how to do tunes on the spectrum,...as for the ST and Amiga versions,...just EFFING shocking and disgraceful :-(

Its like they voice recorded some 7 year old kid to down a can of soda and do the "oooeeeuuaayahhh..." LMAOO!! I would genuinely like to know how they made that and if they were actually serious with it! Seems your quite a video game enthusiast too. Interesting.
Great music and graphics where?? Dude, everything is blue, stiff, badly shaded and animated, and there are only 2 unfitting, badly made remixes of Arcade tracks. It's not passable in the slightest!

hi i have this on amiga but my disk is a white version its got offical logo trademark the whole works on it but disk is white, iv'e seen on ebay and other sites when checking up on the game but all i found was a blue disk version never a white version, do you know anything about why its white, thanks
This was a really bad port from Atari ST. 16 color graphics, and so slow it's unplayable. It's actually worse than the ST version! ST version runs a bit faster and had scroling skies in the background, here it's static. They really messed up with this port!

Well it could be a budget release, but then again there have been game releases where disks can be a different colour due to a different batch from the warehouse, for instance i have the original Hybris on the amiga, most disks were blue with black label whereas mine is a black disk with black lable, so it's not unusual for an original game to have a different colour disk.

I believed it was really bad and utterly unplayable even as a kid. When you compare with the far more fluid and faster fighting games that existed at the time this was truly abysmal. Fact is it ruined my entire image of the Street Fighter franchise and the hordes of fools who somehow kept playing it.
