EXO is one of the most multitalented kpop group especially when it comes to vocals one of the best. I am an EXO-L for 9 years. I am a YG stan from Bigbang gen. ( A proud VIP for 13 years 💛) until up to now in Treasure gen. and EXO is the only kpop group I stan in other kpop company specifically in SM. It's so nice to see a fan of one group or company appreciating talent from another group/company. Appreciation is needed where it's deserved. Yes, exo never disappoints and their vocal is amazing. I did become an exo-L after listening to their songs. I listen to songs and other artists from as I'm more SM biased but i listen to other company artists too and infact before exo I fell in love with bigbang songs and their individual songs ❤️. Xiumin and DO were doing their military obligation when this song was performed. Many of the Chinese members had left the group, except for Lay. He was working on his solo project. Lay is straight fire. Also, EXO has a universe thing going too. In this video, they were battling the evil version of themselves. I will always refer to them as the best kpop vocals, hands down. The harmonies are unbeatable. Kai has 2 solo projects that you will definitely enjoy. You should check out "What is Love" from their first album. They were fire straight from the gate. They were so young. Call Me Baby you will see how many members they had. Tempo is my favorite. Kokobop is trippy and a lot of fun. It really doesn't matter which EXO song you do next, they are all amazing live, acapella, MV, etc. Can't wait for the next one.

They don't have an overall storyline like with EXO and the X-EXO clones here and maybe it isn't considered as fully realized as Obsession, but I'm kind of confused by your comment....

Exo is one of those very few groups who sounds even better in live than the studio version!!! And Chen is one of the Vocal Kings of kpop.... Chen-Baek- D.O trio is unbeatable!!! Even Suho- Xiumin -Lay-Chanyeol have extremely powerful voices!!

I personally love how meaningful this name is.
The letter "L" here, has quite a lot of meanings. The most obvious one is that it stands for Love. What some people dont know about the fandom name, especially non fans, is that the letter "L" comes in between the letters "K" and "M" in the english alphabet. As you know, when exo first debuted, they were split into two subgroups called Exo-K and Exo-M. This means Exo-L always exists between Exo-K and Exo-M. (So it's Exo-K + Exo-L + Exo-M = One)
Another speciality of the letter "L" is that it is the 12th letter of the English alphabet. And do you know how many members Exo debuted with? That's right. TWELVE. Isn't it the sweetest thing?

EXO is in military hiatus but they try to release song/album when they can; like Obsession does not have Xiumin and D.O. who are in the military at that time. Their latest album Don't Fight The Feeling does not have Chen and Suho but it has Lay. This is also the perfect time for the members to do solo stuffs.
So far, 5/8 already done with military. Lay is exempted as he's Chinese. Baekhyun is currently enlisting. Kai and Sehun (the maknaes) are next and are the last members to enlist. EXO will be done with military hiatus by 2024/2025.
As for Lay's situation, it's a bit complicated but it has something to do with China-Korea political conflicts (Lay is an ambassador of his hometown) so that's why Lay couldn't freely promote with the group however, he often reminds people he's still an EXO member and even participated in the latest special album.
Yes. Chen's vocals is insane! He's one of the top vocalist out there. He's well known as the OST King.
Kai is one the best dancers in Kpop (he's been voted #1 for consecutive years). He's known as the idol of idols.

Not that the others don't but Kai is something special. To a Kai fan I suggest watching any one of his 4 solo MVs:

something you should know about EXO is that their mv are related to theories, EXO comes to the 🌎 from EXO-PLANET, all members have powers. If you want to understand more about the concept of EXO you should start with MAMA and History, their first mvs, you should also know that in the era of obsession EXO is fighting with the red force of their X-EXO clones. I KNOW... IT IS CRAZY, HOWEVER; EXO DOES NOT DISAPPOINT (every album is a hit, they are very versatile, they sing from rock to romantic ballads)

During Obsession era D.O. and Xiumin were enlisted into the army as every man in Korea before hitting 30. Lay has been in operating China for the past few years due to some political issues between S Korea and China. That's why he has been missing in some albums. The last album, he was included though. Hopefully the ones in the future too

Exo literally has it all! One of the best groups out there. When it comes to harmonizing... DAMN! They have the best vocal line in my opinion. EXO are SUPPOSED to be on hiatus but they’re more active than many other groups 😅 I mean they started the enlistment in 2019 (D.O & Xiumin) but they still released obsession. Then Chen & Suho in 2021 but still they gave us a special album “Don’t Fight The Feeling” which also sold out over 1 Million physical copy making them Sextuple Million Sellers. Then Chanyeol & Baekhyun in 2022 and we still had EXO’s 10th anniversary fanmeet. All of this PLUS the solo activities and Kai basically touring the world and attending K-pop concerts 😌
So yeah… they’re on hiatus 😂

Great reaction video! You got all the members' names right which is pretty impressive considering the MV features two versions of each EXO member haha. To clear up some confusion, during the Obsession era two members were on military hiatus (D.O and Xiumin) and Lay was unable to participate due to tensions between South Korea and his homeland, China. Aside from Don't Fight the Feeling which was released to celebrate EXO's 9th anniversary, Obsession is the last EXO comeback we've had in awhile

EXO is the group with the most legendary concept in Kpop and EXO is the first group to have a concept in Kpop. EXO’s concept is they are Aliens from an EXO planet, their planet got destroyed and they came to earth, they all have powers (like wind, light, water, ice, fire, unicorn) and EXO’s anemy Red Force wants to steal it. They live in parallel universes but get together during ab eclipse. Their MVs are interconnected. Their latest music video in Obsession they have been cloned by the Red Force and the real EXO is fighting against their own clowns X-EXO. Their all the MVs, concert VCRs and album teasers are connected and are telling a part of the story. When they were still attending the awards shows the VCRs before their performances were a part of that too

I've listened to some of EXO's songs on Spotify. And I gotta say Chen's voice is the most recognizable. He's always in charge of the highest notes. His voice has a lot of texture and depth too.

At that time Xiumin and D.O. had just enlisted a few months prior, and Lay hasn't been promoting with Exo since 2017 because of the diplomatic situation between China and South Korea, that's why there were only 6 members in that album and video. The Obsession era was really fun because they promoted as Exo (the good guys, all in black in the video) and X-Exo (the bad guys, in colorful outfits and makeup) and in the video you can see them fighting against each other. They even did live performances as Exo or X-Exo, that's why the one you watched said on the title "Exo ver.". You should watch one of the X-Exo versions on your own time so you can appreciate how their performance is different because their demeanor is different when they are their dark counterparts. Kai even danced a mirror version of the choreography to represent the good and the bad Kai, he is such a great dancer.
I can't wait for you to react to their concert performances, they are amazing with their vocal abilities, and also I would love if you react to their solo work because at this point most of them have solo albums, except Chanyeol and Sehun who have released an album as Exo S/C. Fun fact about obsession Era in 2019 : because Chanyeol was a big fan of DEAD POOL (Ryan Reynolds) they got to perform obsession Infront of him when he came to South Korea to promote his movie. He even posted on his ig and Chanyeol too.

It's so hard to judge what kpop groups are lacking in, they're usually so versatile, it's easier to pick out what EXO does particularly well (like how they're known for vocals, slightly more mature appeal, and the RnB influence in their sound). They do at times make contributions to lyrics and the production of their songs, but I think their agency, SM entertainment, is a bit stricter with that in general.
The costumes for OBSESSION & TEMPO were showcased on the runway for kpop Fashion.... & are also kept in SM museum... ICONIC isn't
So there are 2 known members that write music for the group, Chen and Chanyeol. Chanyeol is known to help some in music producing and is having more of his work produced now that they are a older group. He even has his own studio where he can produce his music without having to worry about the company. This Mv actually depicts Exo’s evil alter egos. Also there’s a rumor going around where they are having a comeback early 2023 maybe with all members before the last 2 have to go in.

There are not all members because they were serving the military at that time. In South Korea all men have to enlist in the military until a certain age. That's why some are missing. They still aren't complete in the comeback after that one 'Don't Fight The Feeling' (2021), but it was a comeback with Lay since a long time *hearts*. You gotta check out Power or the Acoustic Medley from the exordium (name of the concert) in Seoul. EXO concerts are so good to watch, I love it and I love how they just pull off an acoustic stage while having a concert! Kings!
