Is it Sunday already!?!? Crazy times - how has your week been? Let me know what you're picking up! Mark A Thanks to the sponsor this week here is their game Ultimate Holidays www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/ultimate-holidays-switch/
Hey dudes, I saw I won a code on the Qubic vid the other day... I know its a bit late, but I didn't want you to think I wasn't greatful... keep up the good work xx
The reason I bought a switch was so I would only buy 1 or 2 games that I could play with my daughter, and now thanks to this video series that plan has gone down the drain. I hate that i cant stop loving this series.
I say this everytime the messanger is on sale: BUY IT. Even if its not on sale. Buy it full price. This game is without a doubt one of the best indie games i played on the switch.
Loop Hero is the epitome of the "One more round" game, just edging Balatro. You know the games, the ones where you think at 10pm everything is great and at the next glance its 3am and you think "who stole time?". P.S. Dead Cells is amazing too. I think it is time to finally pick up No Man's Sky, despite just restarting BoTW, I think I am going to petition my MP to ask for an extra 4 hours in a day just to fit it all in.
I have put so many hours into Loop Hero. Genuinely a fun game and it always has that “one more run” feeling when deciding to have your adventure have another go at the loop. Absolutely recommend it
I’m playing through 13 sentinels: aegis rim at the moment and I encourage everyone here to take advantage of the sale and do the same because it is a masterpiece
It's such a masterpiece, I own it three times. My launch day ps4 version that i never played, the digital switch version I played through while I waited for unicorn overlord to launch, and a physical switch copy that was 24 Aussie dollary doos out of bloody nowhere in my local shopping centre (I live in a country town so imagine my shock)
The Messenger is absolutely amazing. Tight controls, humour, the creative time travel 8-bit past/16-bit future gimmick... Difficulty ramps up gently but gets challenging. The soundtrack is so so good. All around, phenomenal game. Loved Loop Hero too. Probably not for everyone. I mostly tried it because I liked its aesthetic and heard some good word of mouth (and I had it for free from Epic) and was surprised how much I liked it! Got captivated and finished it over a weekend or so. Could barely put it down. Cool game! The Shadowrun Trilogy is also worth recommending. They're more linear than old-school Baldur's Gate or something along those lines. But more role-playing than something like Fallout Tactics. Somewhere between those. Loved those. The second Shadowrun in particular but the first is a great introduction and the third is good too. Just the 2nd one resonated with me due to the future Berlin setting and certain characters. Good to hear they work well enough on the Switch.
I really appreciate channels like yours where you all pretty much are down to earth and just explain your suggestions in a way that even sold me on games i have been playing and wouldn't really consider. Thanks. My wallet and backlog are striking back with a vengeance.
Sometimes I watch these to see if any of my wishlist games are finally at a decent price, sometimes I watch it to make sure that games I have already picked up on a previous sale haven’t dropped even lower… I think thats called rage viewing?!
I took a gamble on Pentiment and i am loving it. If you love medieval drawings and learning a tickle of European history while ALSO solving a dark mystery around an abbey??? Get in on this baby!!!!
I feel almost guilty that these weekly sales videos are often exercises for me on “Hey, I own that and I should play it more!” Felt that way about Death’s Door and The Messenger.
Oh damn my comment last week about Deaths Door made the list this week. The sale for it does end in a day and a bit so don’t sleep on it! I’ll send you guys an email for a North American code ❤
Super tempted to grab Dead Cells and No Man’s Sky. Though I really should play through other purchases first or beat games quicker! Last Campfire is also back to its lowest price btw 😊
Dead Cells is absolutely fantastic! It’s one of those games that you can sink a ton of time into but it’s also a great pallet cleanser where you can do a couple of runs at the end of a long day and put it down. I hope you enjoy it if you end up getting it. Cheers!
Vampire Survivors and all the DLC is currently on sale for anyone that hasn't already played this gem of a game. Prepare to lose countless hours of your life.
The Shadowrun Returns series is one of my favourite set of games period. The storytelling and writing are both quite engaging if you take the time to read it all. Even without voice acting, they do a really good job at setting the stage the world of the universe even without any prior knowledge. The scenarios are created with so much variety involved. In one mission you might be in a convention of nerds while trying to pull off an operation, or you could be fighting a horde of insect monsters. And the devs designed the scenarios such that you can go in with a myriad of different options whether that's a more run and gun perspective or if that's a bit more stealthy and hackery. And then the mechanics work really because you're able to a lot of different builds with the flexibility of team members that shore up any weaknesses you have. If you want to play a fragile rigger/decker (drone operator/hacker), then you can grab a mage and a melee specialist. Or, if you want to fight with guns, you can recruit someone who specializes in computer systems and summoning spirits. There's so much versatility and good writing in the series.
Got The Messenger, Death's door and Metro bundle for like $13, ridiculous lol. The messenger i keep replaying on PC, and now on switch, that game just doesn't get boring for me. But Death's Door, what a lovely little game. Started it last night and i have a hard time putting it down. Souls like combat, noir detective/newspaper type hub area, Breath of the wild style graphics, metroidvania style exploration, it's just pure fun. Highly recommended.
Goodness…picked up Gris, exit the gungeon was $2.49, dadish 3d for $2.99, Dominus collection, got POP for $20 at Best Buy, picked up paleo pines off woot for $7. Phew! I think I have a problem 😂 still want to pick up hogwarts for $17.99 next weekend before the sale ends.
Lil' Guardsman is without a doubt my favourite title on this list. Got it right at launch, completed it over the next few days. I'd go back to play it again if my backlog didn't take another few hits from watching this video.
A couple of those deals had me thinking someone had moved a decimal point on the Eshop... I thought "buy Messenger QUICK before they realise they've mis-priced it!"
It's amazing how much good stuff is out there, but with huge amounts of utter shovelware on the Eshop, it's impossible to find them without shows like this!
Might have to pick up The Messenger, it has been on my wishlist for a while. I did pick up TheWay this weekend... only £0.89 and stayed up WAY too late getting stuck into the puzzles!
Deaths Door really is a great little game. I loved Tunic, and Deaths Door is similar in that it’s an isometric soulslike. Fantastic music as well, just like Tunic. I’m really digging this indie isometric soulslike mini-genre.
I finished 13 Sentinels. Great game, found out about it from you. Also, No Man's Sky ABSOLUTELY looks and runs better on an OLED Switch. My old launch Switch's fan was buzzing constantly so I finally "switched" to the OLED and installed NMS on the internal memory. It's AMAZING how good it looks on Switch and how well it runs. Loving it. Again, all thanks to you guys CONSTANTLY going on about it for years. When I saw the Worlds update from you, I knew I had to get it. No joke, I play it on Switch, PS5 and PC.
I know it's too late for a future Switch sale list, but One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and 4 Deluxe versions are on huge sales. Pirate Warriors 3 is down to $4.79 US which is 88% off, while Pirate Warriors 4 is $14.94 which is 77%. Sale ends 9/9. If you are into One Piece and Warriors games, it's a no brainer. Nothing like following story beats while taking out loads of enemies.
Just picked up Death’s Door (thanks y’all for the awareness) and it’s been just the game I’ve been itching for. Unique aesthetics, a solid OST, and combat that actually has some teeth. Or, at least more teeth than I expected based on the cover art. Just good stuff.
Dear Mark, I appreciate this weekly round up of barjans (is that how that's spelled?) and the overall work of Switch Up, it's my favorite Switch dedicated channel. I have to mention this time, though , that I think you did a bit of a disservice in your description of Gris in this video. Saying that sometimes it doesn't make sense and that it's just visual spectacle is really not what this game offers. You mention Studio Ghibli very often when taking about other games, and I think that's the kind of "not making sense" Gris can be compared to, that being, that it does make sense as a surreal, metaphorical representation of the story being told. I find Gris to be one of the most emotional experiences I've ever had. The ending makes me tear up.
Just picked up Death’s Door on Switch, had played it before on PS Plus, but I always thought it would be percect for playing on the go. It runs spectacular, even in handheld mode. So glad I could buy it for a bargain, thanks a lot SwitchUp !! Cheers from 🇧🇷
Apologies guys, usually is part of my Sunday routine. Took my son to uni yesterday, absolutely ball bagged once back home, so just watched first thing Monday morning whilst preparing breakfast. As always, great video.
Switch-up is Switch-on. Always discover a new game every time I watch these compilations. The last one which I have bever heard of was 'Arranger' that is a very cool unique puzzle adventure game.
Great video guys. Picked up Gunbrella and Lost in Play thanks to your reviews! ❤No rAgrets! Lol! Deaths Door and Messenger were amazing. As was Loop Hero which I actually bought the Deluxe edition (came with a colour booklet and all that!) - love the Never ending story ref! Funny story about discounts) sales - one rare time ago Yoshis Wooly World had an insane glitch on the eshop which dropped it to 99 cents usd! Snapped it up there and then and wot a 'steal' it was! Anyways great stuff as always guys. Thanks!
No man’s sky…. I’ve been circling it… considering. I feel like it’s calling me. Thank you for not just the reviews, but o e of my fav segments, the “all patched up” series. Keep up the great content!
Rpg maker was always something i was really excited to play back in the day. When it came time to finally play it, i found out how creatively challenged i am.
RPG Maker is very fun! I had RPG Maker VX Ace a few years ago and I made a large and very fun RPG. Never “released” or sold it but it was such a fun and relaxing experience
Might finally take the plunge on NMS at that price! Enjoyed that video you did recently on the latest big update; and now there’s even SPACE FISHING on the way. I’m in!! 😀
13 Sentinels is well worth the purchase, what a game. Also at that price it is finally the right time for me to purchase my messenger. My poor backlog 😂
Gris is a genuinely wonderful game. Emotive, beautiful and masterfully directed. For that price, everyone should give it a try. Spoilers, in terms of the games overall theme, ahead. >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> I played it during the last months of my mum's battle with dementia and yeah.. the themes of loss and acceptance of grief hit hard. A special game that came into my life at the right time.
I’ve noticed y’all seem fond of your regional cheap delicacies. Well, I can’t imagine you’d find yourself in North Mississippi, but if you do you should check out the legendary “chicken on a stick” It’s basically just a dodgy fried chicken tender, with a shish kebab stick inserted into it lengthwise. But drunk people love them, and they make an acceptable vehicle for honey mustard. Oh, and you usually buy it at a gas station. 😅
Gris is absolutely one of the greatest indie games ever made with by far one of the best soundtracks (by Berlinist) of all time. It's a heartbreaking story of loss, grief and hope.
Love these videos!! I’m so tempted to get the Shadowrun trilogy, but I just picked up the Castlevania Dominus collection & Warhammer: Boltgun. I don’t know if my backlog can take it!
No Man's Sky is awesome, i really want it for switch but i have limited budget, i think im going to buy Civ 6, i can play it a little bit then take it later and it's a kinda calm game and right now i need one, maybe it's time to fall in the "one more turn" again. (Tinykin is another game that is at a really good discount and is a nice game btw :) )
I bought NMS after this video (never played it before) and can confirm to you that it runs shockingly well on Switch. Better than I expected, especially on the lovely OLED. Kept me up until the early hours! Well worth it when you get round to it. Also, if you’re into your ‘calm’ games (have a lot of time for those myself!) then Islanders and Dorpromantik are both worth checking out! 👍🏻
RPG Maker With drops in October, where you can work collaboratively with friends from what I can see. Mark what engine are you building your game in? Unity, Unreal, Godot, etc?
Is it Sunday already!?!? Crazy times - how has your week been? Let me know what you're picking up! Mark
A Thanks to the sponsor this week here is their game Ultimate Holidays www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/ultimate-holidays-switch/
Happy Monday SwitchUp, starting the week with cracking sales really gives the Monday blues a kick in the fundament. Thanks SwitchUp!
Hey dudes, I saw I won a code on the Qubic vid the other day... I know its a bit late, but I didn't want you to think I wasn't greatful... keep up the good work xx
What kind of sorcery is this? This post is 2 days old on a video thats 5 hours old.
That little chuckle before "let's find out", as if you don't know what you're doing to our collective backlogs
Haha exactly that! Mark
This made me chuckle too 😂
Tinykin is 75% off until September 26 at its lowest price it absolutely should not be overlooked.
Well worth it! Mark
Gave the demo a shot and I was hooked right from the start. I love games that remind me of Pikmin. Added it to my collection.
The reason I bought a switch was so I would only buy 1 or 2 games that I could play with my daughter, and now thanks to this video series that plan has gone down the drain. I hate that i cant stop loving this series.
Love the music from the game Moonlighters at the end
I say this everytime the messanger is on sale: BUY IT. Even if its not on sale. Buy it full price. This game is without a doubt one of the best indie games i played on the switch.
For those in Europe. You have less than 3 hours to get Mario Kart booster pass as it's 30 % off
Loop Hero is the epitome of the "One more round" game, just edging Balatro. I didn't like the mech fights.
I fell off this game really quick 2 or 3 yrs ago.
Not sure if I'll revisit. The story was so slow to pick up.
Cracking game. Mark
Love 13 Sentinels. I bought the physical
Death's door being the first game in the video after the last week's winner's comment is iconic 😂
It had to happen haha ❤. Mark
I thought the same thing! Who says nagging doesn’t yield results 😂😂
I finished Gunbrella last week. Should be bought and played by more people, such an underrated game
Shadowrun is really cool. but it's a challenge to not follow pre-determined builds.
True
The Messenger is absolutely amazing. Tight controls, humour, the creative time travel 8-bit past/16-bit future gimmick... Difficulty ramps up gently but gets challenging. The soundtrack is so so good. All around, phenomenal game.

13 Sentinels, yeeessss! Such an amazing game, totally not what I usually play, but I was completely blown away. Highly recommended!
Don't miss Civ VI if you don't have it yet. I almost play it once a week since crashes have been fixed. Waiting for Civ VII 👍
I bought Retro City Rampage on sale, played through the whole thing, then immediately bought Shakedown Hawaii. I love both of them.
Ah yes, the Sunday routine. Thank you for helping with this every single week! Always appreciated! 🙏🏻❤️
Cheers for watching mate! Mark
I now own 3 copies of 13 sentinels. Switch digital, ps4 physical and switch physical. So god damned good. May vanillaware live for many more years
Sometimes I watch these to see if any of my wishlist games are finally at a decent price, sometimes I watch it to make sure that games I have already picked up on a previous sale haven’t dropped even lower… I think thats called rage viewing?!
Yeah I do the same in fairness 😂. Mark
SAME
Bridge Constructor Portal is on sale too, under $5 depending on region. Am considering it myself.
Death's Door was VERY fun and the perfect level of challenge.
I took a gamble on Pentiment and i am loving it. If you love medieval drawings and learning a tickle of European history while ALSO solving a dark mystery around an abbey??? Get in on this baby!!!!
I watch every sales video quietly except for the end. I absolutely have to say “SEE YA!” in unison with Mark. 😂
I feel almost guilty that these weekly sales videos are often exercises for me on “Hey, I own that and I should play it more!” Felt that way about Death’s Door and The Messenger.
Death's Door is fantastic. It's worth full price, but at this price it's beyond a steal.
100%
Oh damn my comment last week about Deaths Door made the list this week. The sale for it does end in a day and a bit so don’t sleep on it! I’ll send you guys an email for a North American code ❤
Booya, GG
The messenger looks like quite a gem, I haven’t played a metroidvania in a while might hop into it!
Backlog: “Ah sheet, here we go again”
Hahaha I do I do I doooo ooooo like sales
I must admit that some weeks I go direct to the Saveloy selection and then go back to watch the rest.
:D 😂
Super tempted to grab Dead Cells and No Man’s Sky. Though I really should play through other purchases first or beat games quicker! Last Campfire is also back to its lowest price btw 😊

Time for the BARJAINS! Let's find out
Your sales videos make folding my Sunday laundry SO much easier and more entertaining, lol. Thank you!
I might pick up raging loop. I've been debating it for awhile now
Vampire Survivors and all the DLC is currently on sale for anyone that hasn't already played this gem of a game.

It's a great game. The Among Us DLC is fascinating.

I’ve still not played Astrobot. And this won’t help!!!

I think Gris is pronounced as kind of ‘Gree’ (Spanish for grey)
I thought so as well but someone said otherwise 🤷
@@SwitchUpYt oh ok.. I would be surprised if it was officially otherwise as there is a lot of grey in the colour scheme! 😂
Lil' Guardsman is without a doubt my favourite title on this list. Got it right at launch, completed it over the next few days. I'd go back to play it again if my backlog didn't take another few hits from watching this video.
Thank you SO MUCH for introducing Ultimate Holiday, it's exactly my cup of tea.
A couple of those deals had me thinking someone had moved a decimal point on the Eshop...
I thought "buy Messenger QUICK before they realise they've mis-priced it!"
Hahaha
It's amazing how much good stuff is out there, but with huge amounts of utter shovelware on the Eshop, it's impossible to find them without shows like this!
There are some REALLY good games in this sale! Gris is absolutely worth the buy. Shallow mechanically, but deep thematically.
I was thinking my backlog was safe this week, but The Messenger was just too good to pass up. Thanks Mark and Greg!
Thanks, this video is what I needed to get through the dreadful ritual that is changing the sand in the litter box
😂
Civ 6 for almost 3 quid just cannot be ignored, SwitchUp strikes again
Might have to pick up The Messenger, it has been on my wishlist for a while. I did pick up TheWay this weekend... only £0.89 and stayed up WAY too late getting stuck into the puzzles!
Hopefully the sale will tempt more people to try 13 Sentinels. Exceptional game and story.
I plan to when this sale comes to the UK, I've slept on it far too long.
Ruiner @ £3.59 is worth a mention. Great devolver game
Just picked up Death’s Door (thanks y’all for the awareness) and it’s been just the game I’ve been itching for. Unique aesthetics, a solid OST, and combat that actually has some teeth. Or, at least more teeth than I expected based on the cover art. Just good stuff.
Still waiting for "Wizard with a Gun" to come out on the Switch. =O
Pentiment, UnMetal, and Black Skylands are all on sale!
Dear Mark, I appreciate this weekly round up of barjans (is that how that's spelled?) and the overall work of Switch Up, it's my favorite Switch dedicated channel.
I have to mention this time, though , that I think you did a bit of a disservice in your description of Gris in this video. You mention Studio Ghibli very often when taking about other games, and I think that's the kind of "not making sense" Gris can be compared to, that being, that it does make sense as a surreal, metaphorical representation of the story being told. Just picked up Death’s Door on Switch, had played it before on PS Plus, but I always thought it would be percect for playing on the go. It runs spectacular, even in handheld mode. So glad I could buy it for a bargain, thanks a lot SwitchUp !! Cheers from 🇧🇷
Nothing like watching a SwitchUp sales video at 3 a.m. (just before I finally hit the hay)

Lil' Guardsman has a physical available through Super Rare Games now as well. Cracking game!
I had my eye on Gris for a while so I immediately bought it. Thanks for the tip guys!
Now I’m thinking about adding deaths door as well 😳
I still have to play the outer worlds dlcs, when they came out i already had waaay too much time in that game 😂
