I absolutely love Marabu inks, Myriam! Your tile test-piece is *gorgeous,* btw! I'm a big fan of anything emanating from Germany, simply because their engineering standards are so high - things are just so well-made there and alcohol inks are no exception. My car is German, most of my favourite household appliances are German (they last for years!), I however am British. Even now - all these years on, some older Britons are not generally known for being wildly pro-German! But we do know quality when we see it. 😊🇩🇪

Holly, I desperately want the whole set of Keilty Inks ....but conversation of $$$$ and postage to Oz was .....mmmmmm well I need to save up for those, 😢😢😢....but I just bought the full set of Marabu too.....half price was a great bargain. But I am annoyed with myself as I did the order up, but needed to top up the card I use, so finally remembered to go back and finish the order and they had removed by extra extender I was buying as they had sold out. ....with everything on huge sale I wasnt game to leave it any longer and paid the order, plus the exchange rate was way worse since last Friday when I started the order......art supplies are so addictive !!! Love the idea of the rainbow. Thank you for all the demos you do. I have so much mica from making soap and bath bombs and I wanted to use it up so about about a year ago I started mixing the mica with alcohol Inks. Seems to be the same effect. Still have not put a dent into the mica. 😂 even tried the glitter just need a bottle with a bigger hole and I used the blender solution. Works well also. So for people who can not afford it mica might be the way to go.
I saw these on Joggles and immediately ordered the entire set plus 5 additional bottles of the Rainbow-can’t have enough sparkle!!! Love what you did with these!!!

I truly have no idea how I got to this video. I have never tried ink art, in fact I’m not that talented. That being said OMG your video is really entertaining. I usually get bored rather easily especially if it is a subject I have no desires in. @@elizabetheddy1073 I was blessed with over the top $$$$ amounts of art supplies from a friend at work who's elderly mother was an artist and art HOARDER...I must have 15 lbs of glitter of all types! Even glow in the dark! I can only tell you the name brand as I did not acquire this on my own, it's Artistic U Chameleon Glitter, Warm. Now I tried to find it online, the company no longer exists? Most of my supplies are very old, 2000 to 2005 but brand new and sealed in their original packages. What you can do, is I see now-a days, they call it Holographic glitter? Or I did see in searching this for you, they have some sellers on ebay?, if you search for Chameleon Glitter. Best of luck to you! And the holographic glitter looks really cool and I see on Amazon, it does come in the white like I have, chameleon and holographic, same deal I would think? 🤗
Thank you, Myriam! I ordered these last week and had not yet tried them when I ran across your amazing video. You have certainly inspired me to get them out of the package and check them out. I did as you instructed and pierced each bottle and put a drop of the color in the well on top of the bottle. I then found a revolving 30 Keurig-Cup carousel that did not work with my Ranger Inks, and it is PERFECT for the Marabu Inks! I found mine at a thrift store, but I'm sure they are available in many stores. As I was setting them up, I noticed how wonderful the gold and copper metallics were, so....while on sale...LOL! I tried moving them with 91% alcohol but did not care for the movement achieved, so I switched to blending solution and that worked much better for me. As always, Myriam I am so grateful to you for my education on this journey of Alcohol Ink Art, many thanks to you. :-)

I’m so happy you found this video helpful Consuelo! 😄 I think you will thoroughly enjoy your new inks. The Kamar Varnish is the one safe varnish for alcohol ink... it works on most all brands of the ink. Unlike other varnishes, Kamar doesn’t reactivate inks, move them or cause them to bleed or bloom. You can use it on tile, glass, Yupo, Grafix Opaque White... you name it. I really hope you’ll enjoy the channel. Thank you for the kind comment and for subscribing!! 😊😘💕
First time viewer and new subbie stumbled upon this video and seriously was so mesmerized. I've saw alcohol inks...But never have I saw someone literally paint such an amazing picture, as if it was a magical paint. I was amazed at the control you have, is that due to your expertise using many alcohol inks? Or is this specific to this brand. Oh, and the rainbow..I was like a kid, I loved every thing!!!⛰☀️ Favorite part...But wait there more as you giggled!(I feel like I am selling Ginsu Knives 🗡) But seriously there is more! 😂🖌🎨🙂💞 I look forward to many more videos!
Hi Melissa! First of all welcome to the channel and thank you for your very kind comment!! 😊💕 Painting with alcohol ink is pretty similar regardless of brand. You may need to thin some inks if they are too dark for what you’re doing, and some metallics don’t “paint” on well, but other than that it’s just about not putting too much on your brush so that the color doesn’t get away from you (alcohol ink spreads or “blooms” easily). The rainbow is unlike anything out there... no other brand has a sparkle “ink” like that so it’s pretty exciting and fun to play with it. I wish you lots of fun as you discover more about this amazing medium. I hope you will join my FB group too. I have so much mica from making soap and bath bombs and I wanted to use it up so about about a year ago I started mixing the mica with alcohol Inks. Seems to be the same effect. Still have not put a dent into the mica. 😂 even tried the glitter just need a bottle with a bigger hole and I used the blender solution. Works well also. So for people who can not afford it mica might be the way to go.

I truly have no idea how I got to this video. I have never tried ink art, in fact I’m not that talented. That being said OMG your video is really entertaining. I usually get bored rather easily especially if it is a subject I have no desires in. @@elizabetheddy1073 I was blessed with over the top $$$$ amounts of art supplies from a friend at work who's elderly mother was an artist and art HOARDER...I must have 15 lbs of glitter of all types! Even glow in the dark! I can only tell you the name brand as I did not acquire this on my own, it's Artistic U Chameleon Glitter, Warm. Now I tried to find it online, the company no longer exists? Most of my supplies are very old, 2000 to 2005 but brand new and sealed in their original packages. What you can do, is I see now-a days, they call it Holographic glitter? Or I did see in searching this for you, they have some sellers on ebay?, if you search for Chameleon Glitter. Best of luck to you! And the holographic glitter looks really cool and I see on Amazon, it does come in the white like I have, chameleon and holographic, same deal I would think? 🤗

Thank you, Myriam! I ordered these last week and had not yet tried them when I ran across your amazing video. You have certainly inspired me to get them out of the package and check them out. I did as you instructed and pierced each bottle and put a drop of the color in the well on top of the bottle. I then found a revolving 30 Keurig-Cup carousel that did not work with my Ranger Inks, and it is PERFECT for the Marabu Inks! I found mine at a thrift store, but I'm sure they are available in many stores. As I was setting them up, I noticed how wonderful the gold and copper metallics were, so....while on sale...LOL! I tried moving them with 91% alcohol but did not care for the movement achieved, so I switched to blending solution and that worked much better for me. As always, Myriam I am so grateful to you for my education on this journey of Alcohol Ink Art, many thanks to you. :-)

I’m so happy you found this video helpful Consuelo! 😄 I think you will thoroughly enjoy your new inks. The Kamar Varnish is the one safe varnish for alcohol ink... it works on most all brands of the ink. Unlike other varnishes, Kamar doesn’t reactivate inks, move them or cause them to bleed or bloom. You can use it on tile, glass, Yupo, Grafix Opaque White... you name it.

First time viewer and new subbie stumbled upon this video and seriously was so mesmerized. I've saw alcohol inks...But never have I saw someone literally paint such an amazing picture, as if it was a magical paint. I was amazed at the control you have, is that due to your expertise using many alcohol inks? Or is this specific to this brand. Oh, and the rainbow..I was like a kid, I loved every thing!!!⛰☀️

Painting with alcohol ink is pretty similar regardless of brand. You may need to thin some inks if they are too dark for what you’re doing, and some metallics don’t “paint” on well, but other than that it’s just about not putting too much on your brush so that the color doesn’t get away from you (alcohol ink spreads or “blooms” easily).
The rainbow is unlike anything out there... no other brand has a sparkle “ink” like that so it’s pretty exciting and fun to play with it.
