I would like to tell you a little about myself. I'm 35 yrs old and currently posted as Sr Manager (Scale 3) at Punjab National Bank. I had completed English Hons back in 2008 and completed MA & MBA (HR) through correspondence course in 2013.
I'm planning to add to my credentials and rise up as fast as possible in PNB (the fastest being a minimum of 3 yrs between promotions)
I'll be eligible for the next promotion process in 2024. So I've got a solid 3 years to go for the credentials. PNB prefers ICWA, CA, CFA, FRM
So what in your opinion should I go for, considering my background. Will an MBA in Finance (distance education) be of much help? I've thought of completing a few certificate courses in Treasury and Risk Management as well as Wealth management from IIBF. In addition to that, which one should I go for CFA or FRM? Currently I'm working as a branch head but would really love to switch over to Treasury/Risk Management/Investment Banking division of PNB

Risk management is definitely excellent option, go for it. However, a CFA might prove to be a substantial value addition.

Post FRM apply for credit risk departments of banks first. It's a very good profile, if you can crack it.
FRM is an excellent course don't worry. But never stop, keep on adding value to your resume.
Target for CIMA or ACCA once you are done with FRM.

Degrees Don't add skill, they add only knowledge.
To answer your questions FRM is really a good option if you are in credit risk department of a commercial Bank. It also adds value to your Auditing skills.
However, ACCA will give you a wider skill set.
I think you should do both starting with ACCA.

CWM is a good course plus it is recognised by Indian banks plus it is internationally recognised. We have recently uploaded a video on that, you can have a look.
FRM is also a good option, specially if you are looking to work in a private commercial bank, or even investment bank.
