Nice speech but I want our Gov't to start working together to help its citizens now, not 20 yrs or 50 yrs from now. We all have one life to live so it would be in the present that we need good effective goverment not kick the CAN down the road.
As an outsider, Mexican/Canadian, A very interesting conversation. Sadly this video displays exactly what she's worried about, lack of participation. Count the empty seats. Where I live, unfortunately, there are a lot of your citizens nearby. In my experience these people are completely clueless. Why? They couldn't care less. When asked why, they most often respond something along the lines of, "doesn't effect me personally." I was taught and firmly believe the most important elections are the local ones. Your municipality, town or city. These are the ones that impact the residents the most.
....but what about nuclear? Isnt nuclear 0% emissions? I understand everything has the potential to fail but.. Switzerland and france run on nuclear and they seem to be doing okay? Why solar, wind and hydro.
I love this channel and all the talks on it but goddamn if this isn't a "do what I say because I'm good and the other guys are bad" talk I share a lot of the same views but im still laughing at how blatant it is.
Casual Feamonger tactics. U have to be afraid, that someone uses your fear for their benefit. Or else Democracy will die, U better be afarid and go vote.
I trust her but I don't like that she's corralling people's votes towards her beliefs. People are aware fascism is on the rise, she don't need to promote democracy while simultaneously trying to sway people in a certain direction. Let people vote how they want. @@JamesPeach
Very interesting. Some useful tidbits. I don't agree with "the reason why democracy was created was because of a God anointed individual" statement. It is believed that most small "tribes" of humans, from the hunter gatherer age to now, naturally gravitate to democracy. I fear she's leaning on the Western Athens definition of democracy which Casagranda himself has explored and challenged...
because he can and wants to. this is his side project. he doesn't upload his class lectures, he holds lectures through "the austin school" which is like a club. he has a wide variety of content on this channel.
That’s not the point. When you watch a scientist, you assume objectivity and neutrality. I enjoy his lectures under that umbrella. But when you mixing it up with politics, it stains that objectivity. Let me now wonder if there’s an agenda 🤷♂️
Damnit I wanted a lecture on the Middle East
Can we suggest a topic? Like the French Revolution?

She seems like a great representation of citizen will, all around inspiring talk!
Sir please upload some lecture soon, we are getting bored, on history of the Chinese empire or something about past history

Fear mongering about open carry, is a perfect example of how politicians keep us divided and afraid.
It was such an obvious contradict and Prof Casa grande let it go unchallenged 😢.
