This is what I love about Hank 3 as well, music that is made for the sake of music. Like most people that subscribe to modern country wouldn’t recognize Coe, or even the most legendary rock, metal and blues artists. I like those that write their shit and unapologetically play it , because that’s what expression and the freedom to do so is all about. I have enjoyed Hank , Waylon, Merle snd Charlie since I was like 10, snd probably before because my dad played country snd blues a lot. My great-grandfather used to play the blues snd cry. It is truly something special. All I here about is Morgan Wallen and I am not familiar with his music , but if their is no true hardship, emotion steel guitar , fiddle banjo or bass slappin , it is no concern to me. Character flaws of each artist is what resonates the most with the audience. Although I ain’t no rich honky. Just a broke honky, but I love the honesty, a lot of us aren’t the “everyman” , mf outlaws.
