Germany that see is clean is because the Germans have adopted cleanliness, without sparing the rod. If you litter in Germany or any European nation, you will be fined heftily. Learn to be clean and make your neighborhood clean.
Thank you for including your mum in your German videos. I can see that she is a lovely person and she has brought you up to be one as well. Personally I feel that by introducing us to your family (and girlfriend as well) you have made me feel more invested in your life and hence your videos. Sometimes it is nice to know who you are, where and how you grew up rather than just watching your day to day videos. It also provides more context to your future videos. As for the Asian food, kudos to your mum for trying them with you. Sadly, this is not a true representation of authentic Asian food. The fried rice is probably done with turmeric hence why it is yellow. I guess since most people there have not tasted the authentic Asian dishes, the restaurants can get away by making up the dishes with just whatever skills they have and the ingredients that can source. When a "Japanese" restaurant starts selling Thai food, alarm bells should start ringing.
Haha .... wonderful to see you driving a car instead of riding on a motorbike all these while during your road trips in South East Asia and Asia. Love to see those amazing greenery and scenery along the journey. Your hometown and the nearby town are very clean, peaceful and well maintained. Guess this is the type of place that l would love to live...😀
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. It's really lovely, I can hear birds chirping in this video. For €40, u can get lots of street food in Malaysia, 3 meals a day for a week.
I love these small European towns. They're so beautiful. I feel like running through the green fields. In your opinion, Ken, are places like your hometown open or welcoming to tourists from other regions/religions? I know of some places that do not like it or will stare and act unwelcoming. BTW your mum is lovely. You should invite your family to join you for a week in Malaysia.
Wow Ken, you have a nice house, beautiful mom, beautiful township, great restaurants, great green scenery along the way and is really awesome you spend great time with your family and the food looks very delicious, great video you present here....two thumbs up
Feeling warm when you filming the videos with your mum and sis. Your mum has a high tolerance to Asian foods. She should be a foods lover like you. 😋😋. I wish to see some videos about your mum cooking of some authentic and traditional Germany dishes.. else hard to see her again when you return to Malaysia. 😅😅
Enjoyed the video Ken. In my view, UK Asian restaurants offer the closest to authentic Asian dishes, but it's normal that in most cases, they will adjust the spiciness according to local availability of spices/herbs and to cater to local palate. Btw, yr mum's English accent is not the typical German English accent, more towards UK or Scandinavian English accent 😅
When in Europe, the few authentic Asian foods are from HK, China, India and Japan. All other Asian foods are cooked to local regional tastes. Taste wise, the Asian foods in N America are more closely catered towards Asian taste unless you lived in the suburbs.
Hi Ken. Great to see you in your local neighbourhood. I bet your Mum is so happy to have you there to enjoy meals together. Myself and Julia J are going to try your Mum's recipe, in the previous video, soon. Perhaps one day in the future you could show your Mum the delights of Thailand or Sri Lanka etc? Enjoy your time there Mein Freund. Best wishes to your Mum and family Stay safe and well 🏴🏴🇩🇪🙏
Hi Ken and family! I've been trying to catch up with all your travel vlogs! You are truly an ambassador for culture exchange and sharing your experience of travel😊
Your hometown is so beautiful, I want to move there; If a Chinese restaurant does not only sell Chinese food, it means it is not authentic; Fried spring rolls are similar, but not that kind of sauce, which is very interesting; For me, no matter whether it is the same or not, the most important thing is that Mommy ate happily!👍😄👌 P.S. I'm sorry to tell you the truth, that dessert is called mochi, and it's from Taiwan, because its packaging shows "Taiwan mochi"!
A piece of Thailand in a middle of a small German town....NICE!!! Well, pretty much , your mum is spot-on..... Asian food that has already been made t o suit German's tastebuds.... Good for you ,Ken..... after been in Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam..... You already tasted the authentic taste of the food from those regions.... Just a good reason, why we love to travel, exploring & discovering cultures, cuisine & lifestyle...... Hope you are enjoying a great time & spending good family time with family..... Thanks for showing us around your hometown......Stay safe, and take care mate.
Great video, Ken. Your mom's English is very impressive. We have roughly the same prices for those foods in the US, maybe $12 to $15 for a main dish. I think the biggest difference is that every Thai restaurant I go to has Thai or Lao people cooking and there are Asian markets in most larger cities. You can find reasonably authentic foods from around the world in the US because we have so many foreign-born residents.
How convenient that the town is just 20 mins away. Life seems quiet relaxed there no hustle & bustle. Everything is so organised & no rushing about. Quiet a zen feeling we get.
Thank you for sharing. I can see that you have definitely adopted an Asian palate, how cute. Takeouts used to cost more in Europe than in America, but now for $40 US, or Euro, you can just get 2 dishes with a little change. And you said it's not cheap spending based on average German income. That makes sense, we make a bit more in the U.S. Enjoy time with mum. Do share more videos before you go back to the East. And yes, take your mum exploring there one day.
I love Germany. I went there 14 years ago in Heidelberg. Stayed with my daughter and son in law for 2 months, had a fantastic stay in Germany. Been watching your vloggs mostly videos from the Philippines.
Enjoy your favourite Asian food with your mom Ken, only thing that you couldn't find " Coconut Roti" from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 though you have "Ginger 🍺 Beer" ♥️😁
You forgot to explain to your mom about one special food in Sri Lanka that thing is KOTTHU...,❤️👍🇱🇰🇱🇰 Visit again.. thanks for spending your time in Sri Lanka..
Wow! Your mom’s so cool & adventurous to explore Asian food in your hometown but your tastebud’s very authentic now? 👍🏻You can taste & know what’s different or short of what ingredients 👍🏻they’re prepared, cooked according to local tastebuds 🙏🏻Bon apetite 🤤hope both of you enjoyed😊
It's very nice that Ken and Ken's mom are like good friends. Lovely family! By the way, most of Asian restaurants in Europe are not authentic, which had been changed too much for catering the stomachs of the noble Europeans.
Great kampung vibes in your hometown. Very beautiful suburbs with plenty of greenery. The dishes you had doesn't really look great 😜 as you said, probably Germanized to suit the local taste buds.
Ken I just subscribed to your channel and watching some of your older vlogs. Your home village is so nice and very clean. Your mom is so pretty and love her excitement of trying asian food. Thanks for taking us along.
Happy to see u introducing Asean food to ur mom but definitely it's not like d original from various Asean countries .like u said it's blended with local German likings ... Wow it's pretty steep d price . U can get that for about RM80 in Malaysia , probably . Anyway , that's Germany .. continue to have a great time der Ken. Cheers 🙏♥️👍🏼
Great to see your local towns and villages of Germany, it looks like a nice area that you have grown up in. Your Mum is very aware of what is going on with the food and yes, I think she is correct in saying that the dishes are adjusted to western tastes. Authentic food should be available, but Maybe like you say, in the larger cities it might be easier to find. I remember when you first arrived in Malaysia and Thailand and you were always saying "not too spicy". It seems you have got used to eating the spice a little more now.
Weiter so!! Gruss, auch an Deine tolle Mama!!:-))
Ken you have experienced "tex mex " flavoured down for local taste ,I think you would have to buy ingredients from the thai shop and make from scratch but you still need copious amounts of fresh thai basil /chilli/lemon grass but still nice to have some options close to home
You are currently here in the Philippines while watching this video. What a beautiful village in your hometown Germany. Your Mom is lovely and young. No wonder you are being stared at here in the Philippines. Enjoy your stay here and be safe.
Hi Ken. I loved seeing your mom and your beautiful home town. I just wanted to mention that chop suey was invented in San Francisco, so you really need to go to California to experience authentic chop suey! 😋 Greetings from David in Thailand.
Hi Ken 👋🏻 and hi there to your mom , she's so beautiful and elegant lady really like her style 👍 hope for her recovery after the physio session 👍 nice greeneries by the roadside , always a beautiful weather at your place Ken. Really excited to see the Germany version of asian food 😅 Wow , you're now the professional asian food taster 🤣 you can differentiate between the taste , texture and the food presentation 👍 that's awesome Ken. I do agree with you that the fried rice looks like nasi briani instead too much tumeric I supposed and the soup..the wanton so much bigger ? Anyway , really glad that you did the asian food review , thanks a lot Ken and good one 👍🥰
Jen I admire your family, your Mom, I also remember mine, who s a good cook too, but she's in peace now since ling time ago already. I missed her and her cuisine. God Bless Ken and the rest of the Family.

Wow you have beautiful village... Fresh green everywhere...
Your mom looks so young and she's very pretty! What a beautiful area you live in. Germany is such a beautiful country :)
Ken I Must honestly tell you, you have very kind and a very hospitable Mum.
Ken - It's a lovely area where you reside in Germany. Everything so fresh, clean and civilised.
Germany that see is clean is because the Germans have adopted cleanliness, without sparing the rod. If you litter in Germany or any European nation, you will be fined heftily. Learn to be clean and make your neighborhood clean.
Unlike malaysia amirite
Take Mom to Asia Ken, she will love Malaysia!

My mom always put tumeric powder in her chicken fried rice to make it look more yummy
To be too busy body is never a good thing , just sayin. He is quite a nice person , very not typical German ,

Hi Ken. Enjoy your hometown🇱🇰
Yes, more of your mum's home-cooked food please.
You are very well brought up, Ken.
The disappointment in "it's not the same" from Ken is palpable. lol. Also you ate the rice with spoons lol.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. It's really lovely, I can hear birds chirping in this video. For €40, u can get lots of street food in Malaysia, 3 meals a day for a week.

Great kampung vibes in your hometown. Very beautiful suburbs with plenty of greenery.
The dishes you had doesn't really look great 😜 as you said, probably Germanized to suit the local taste buds.
Indonesian nasi goreng iss brown, from the soy saus, sweet soy sauce which is thicker than light soy sauce.
wow it is interesting to see what asian restaurants look like in Germany
very interesting ken i am ur fan from srilanka plz make more videos around ur home and ur country and with ur mom and sis also❤
