There is an add in called chatgpt for excel. Try it. It has a feature to autofill data but it costs money.
I had a pattern that worked but then stopped working when you type a similar word out (like Work and Working). When I realized the issue I deleted the instance that messed it up (Working) but it won't ever work the same again in the same sheet. Is there a way to reset the column to identify the original pattern again? Also for some reason Cntl+E never worked for me.
I was able to fix it by deleting that cell (the one with the word that flashfill stopped working for) and inserting a fresh cell to start that cell over. Flashfill for that "broken" word started working again- AND it prompted me to refill all of the data that I had deleted, so I didnt have to retype it. YAY

There is no flash fill option in ms excel 2007😢
yeah it got introduced in 2013. You might have to upgrade. Trust me, it s worth it!
none of the methods work. there is a pattern because it works within a different worksheet. I guess excel is having a brain-fart moment... 😫😫
