Could you start a "One day with" series please? Start with a character you dont play with normally, and stream play them for a day, and make videos with the footage. Maybe have someone track your wins and losses with each new character you use and then compare them at the end of the series. Just an idea I think you could execute nicely yo!
@@JabJabBinks Its more of a nerf to characters without a full throw game, since generic throws have the homing effect so its easier to react to vs a 1+2 throw. Breaking throws for characters with a full throw game is more match up knowledge tbh.

Most Paul players I meet play really solid fundamentals. To people complaining about Pauly while playing Alisa, Dragonuv, Feng and getting beat, Paul players actually learned how to play Tekken and not rely on Tekken 8s button smash buffs. I feel like since Victor got nerfed I see better Victor players learning how to play fundamentals and not spamming, as pre patch Kaz I had a great win streak against Victor now they are actually using their brain I lose matches.
I want to see how this Paul is going to do against Supreme. I feel like TMM’s Paul relies to heavily on launches and heavy 1 hit punches from Paul. With better opponent, he might have some real trouble

Hellsweep 4 should remove grey health. That would give it some much needed utility and reason to use it instead, trading oki for damage but also to "cash out" on previous oki loops of cd4 1.
The only buff that seems a bit too good is Paul’s f2 now being 13f, and having great range. Strong 13f moves haven’t been common to Paul, but now he has one. It’s spammable and on hit it gives massive advantage.
Should I not be playing Paul? I'm not really good tbh (still in orange ranks), but I picked Paul because he's what I know from my T3 time (last time played), but hearing TMM say he's not good and there is a reason people don't play him in tourney just makes me think its because people just know him. Paul is not too good for competitive play because his moveset is very slow and limited overall in a game where characters are now all extremely fast and aggressive. Paul requires serious brain power at higher ranks because most of his moves are slow and very predictable that him having high damage is now the only thing he has going for him. At beginner ranks he’s great for scrub killing but once you reach blue ranks he becomes an extremely hard character to use. I can’t believe I’m saying this but Paul does need some serious buffs in T8. Paul is playing Tekken 7 in Tekken 8.
I'm still in red ranks with Paul. Yet, I can admit he's not op. Certain people just make him look really good. Haorang and Feng are OP. Paul definitely need and I.M.O still need a few more buffs. He's quiet honest actually.

deathfist dealing insane damage on counter-hit is an identity thing for Paul, it's just "right". I've never played Paul but when they nerfed it back in Tekken 7 it was a lame decision. Nerfing it would be like making yoshi's suicide blockable: there's many ways you could make that change in a balanced way, but there's no way you can make it "right".

I haven’t seen a rational argument yet. I don’t even own t8 and even I can see he is outmatched when it comes to his key moves being punishable and Paul’s punishment isn’t fantastic when it comes to range. Only thing really going for him is damage...if you can land it.
My only beef against him is deathfist hitbox. I should state that it's not his specific problem. There are some bugged steppable moves that can hit you from the other side or cause a cross-up from 2D fighter. About Paul I think I can get used to cheese stuff with sways and demoman but deathfist is cancer in it's current tech state. I get that it's his signature move, no problem, leave it as a launcher even. But it should be linear and not hit to the sides at all because of the active frames sucking your character into hitbox while you sidestepping or he's clearly off-axis whiffing it but still is able to suck your char into its hitbox.
Because Paul absolutely wrecks at lower levels where people can't punish non-heat death fist or play neutral well or know how to take advantage of his weaknesses like him having stubby lows. Personally his 50/50 Tilts me. After Heatdash it just turns into a guessing game if you get demo'd or deathfisted. There aren't many 50/50 that make you loose that much hp on either choice. While also his df2 has to be one of the best in the game. Insane range. High crushes jabs and save. That's what i don't like about playing vs paul.

Paul was not actually considered that good at high levels, far from bottom but he was often put at the bottom half of the tier list.
