My dad’s favorite song. Every friggin’ morning on the way to drop me off at school, him and i would sing that song. We Belong Together, forever and always. My father, Joseph "Jody" Perez. 1949-2013.
Toy Story 3: We Belong Together is better song. 4 years ago, I wrote a letter to Randy Newman about that he should win an Oscar then something happen, he sent me a Toy Story 3 (Four-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) and Toy Story 2 soundtrack with his signature, it's say "Dear Jordan what a nice note you send me. I could be wrong, but you sound like a music to me. I also send the inferior Toy Story 2 soundtrack, good luck - Randy Newman". I got him to win, lucky me.
+Andrew Weidensall Yes, yes I do. It's 1610 San Remo Dr Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. Go to www.contactanycelebrity.com/members/database/do/celebrityView?id=8012.
After being snubbed for his songs in the previous Toy Story movies lost to Disney studio mates, Randy finally wins an Oscar for a beautiful song written for my favorite movie trilogy of all time. Well deserved win for him that night and best of luck scoring Toy Story 4. PS I thought I See the Light from Tangled was good too.
He was given 2 Oscars by 2 Jennifers who sing and act: 1st was Jennifer Lopez giving his Oscar for "Monsters Inc.", 2nd was Jennifer Hudson for "Toy Story 3." So I think in order to win, a singing/acting Jennifer must be the one presenting :P
We Belong Together from Disney and PIXAR Toy Story 3 is all about embracing change and moving on and what it really means to be with someone else in act of compassion, imagination, kindness and loyalty: whether you need to physically be with them to have a relationship.
Best Original Song: "Coming Home" - "Country Song" "If I Rise" - "127 Hours" "There's A Place For Us" - The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader" "When Will My Life Begin" - "Tangled" "We Belong Together" - "Toy Story 3" *(WINNER)
2010 Oscars was absolute bullshit: “I See the Light” from Tangled was 10x more jaw-dropping and iconic as a song. I loved Toy Story 3 better as a movie, but not its ending credits song thaaaat much at all.
You sound salty that a childhood property won instead of a crappy song and I’ve seen tangled that song was crap Toy Story 3 was clearly the best option
Both Randy Newman's Oscar wins for If I Didn't Have You and We Belong Together were used in the end credits of their respective films: Monsters Inc. and Toy Story 3
It is up there with a whole new world and part of your world. Toy story 3 had the upper hand bc of recognization and being out longer and the marketing being much better. Tangled came after one of the worst marketed (yet incredibly underated movie of princess and the frog so the attention Pjxar was getting compared to disney was much greater as well as the 11 year hype for Toy Story 3. What is shocking to me at this exact oscars Tangled did not get a best animated feature nom (even though I love seeing other non-Disney owned studios get recognition) it is ridiculous bc it is widely agreed to be the best movie in the Disney revival era.
Why are people complaining here? Randy Newman only won his 2nd Oscar! Alan Menken has won plenty! He won 8 Oscars! Randy Newman won Fair and Square! Besides, Alan Menken's music for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin are better than Tangled!
One of my favorite wins too, very deserved I mean, Randy's first Oscar after several nominations. All I know is that he went upstage and while being applauded he said "I don't want your pity". And a few minutes later, when the band started rushing off the stage, he told them to stop the music and said: "all these musicians, many of whom have worked for me a number of times and may not again".
The relationship between Woody and Buzz started off as pure adversaries and learned how to accept each other's strengths, forgive each other's failures and respect each other as individuals.
The entire film has been like a big family reunion, from getting the original cast back, including our own Andy, John Morris, to working with Randy Newman. It's completely heartening to have that much support and it helped us gain creative traction and momentum. We're all so passionate, both personally and professionally, about the Toy Story films, as is everyone at PIXAR. All of that positive energy was very encouraging and certainly helped the creative process, which is always intimidating and scary when you begin the journey.
Toy Story 3 (2010): Oscars Best Animated Feature (winner) Lee Unkrich (director) Best Adapted Screenplay (nominee) Michael Arndt, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich Best Sound Editing (nominee) Tom Myers, Michael Silvers Best Original Song (winner) "We Belong Together" music and lyrics by Randy Newman Best Motion Picture (nominee) Darla Kay Anderson (producer)
Out of Randy Newman's Oscar Wins for Best Original Song between If I Didn't Have You and We Belong Together, I like his win for We Belong Together better! It's very touching and more moving!
Exactly boss because this song is very beautiful and of course is real winner of Oscar I love ,,I See In The Light'' from Tangled so much 💛 Better than ,,We Belong Toghether" from Toy Story 3
The third installment becoming the first of the Toy Story films to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature can be seen as a great way of rounding things out as well. This makes it the only one of the trilogy to actually win an Academy Award. Also, Randy Newman won for Best Original Song, which could be seen as a way of making up for his loss from the original.
for sure man big fuckin time and we are not the only one who think this dont worry about this they give the oscar to this crap cuz of the money the movie did, but everybody knows that I see the light is a lot more better song
Lee Unkrich: One of the hallmarks of the Toy Story films is that we've had songs in them. It's part of the heritage and the fabric of the series. For Toy Story 3, we want the audience to leave the theater on an upbeat, happy note, so we asked Randy to write a new song to accompany the end credits. We Belong Together touches on several themes of the movie. It's about change and moving on and what it really means to be with someone: whether you need to physically be with them to have a connection. It was also important to me that Randy sing the song, since his singing voice is such an essential part of the Toy Story DNA. As always, Randy did an amazing job.
i know I just said my opinion that i like it more but i never said who deserves the oscar. Because We belong together as a song is brilliant and i get why people love it. It's just i have a different opinion. You said your opinion but at least you can be more kind.
PIXAR's Toy Story movies are all about friendship, loyalty and being there for Andy and for each other. Sharing, curiosity and ingenuity are all celebrated.
Like its predecessors, Toy Story 3 received critical acclaim upon release, with critics praising the vocal performances, screenplay, emotional depth, animation and Randy Newman's musical score.
I love his subtle jab at the Academy for not nominating a certain pop song for not-so-thinly veiled reasons. Smart guy and now one of my favorite people. Go Randy!!!!!
Randy Newman's score for Toy Story 3 has a broader scope and variety than his work on the previous films. Ranging from the classic Western score that accompanies the film's opening sequence, to the dramatic music that accentuates the action-packed climax, and the new end credit song, We Belong Together, the composer was able to explore lots of different directions.
Beyond the cover of his celebrated song, Randy Newman serves up new delight in Toy Story 3 with his evocative score and delivers another defining musical moment with the new song We Belong Together.
Toy Story 3 (2010): toys are a child's first friends; trust your friends because they have your best interest in mind; don't judge a book by its cover; it is better to give than to receive; there is a kid inside all of us; even though everyone grows up, no one should forget how special their youth is.
Randy Newman is good for making a song for Toy Story 3, but "I See the Light" from Tangled composed by Alan Menken and lyrics provided by Glenn Slater deserve this award, since Disney is starting to make the Classics a come back.
One of the most distinctive elements of the Toy Story films has been its vibrant musical scores innovative use of songs. Much of the credit for this belongs to PIXAR's longtime collaborator, Academy Award winning composer/songwriter Randy Newman.
Toy Story 3 has it all: an edifying tale, endearing and funny characters, an appealing use of 3D technology and an emotional undertow that enables us to cheer for these inanimate objects as they make a break for freedom and a chance to discover a fetching future where they will be cherished and lovingly played with forever.
@TheAC29 I have listened to 'I See The Light' and I didn't really like it. It got better as the song progressed but it didn't really have that quality that Alan's Oscar winning songs had.
They always ignore great songs from female pop artists. In 2011 they ignored Janet Jackson's Nothing (from "Why Did I Get Married Too?"). In 2012 they ignored Madonna's Masterpiece (from "W.E."). In 2016 they ignored Jennifer Lopez's Feel the Light (from "Home").
As with all the great PIXAR films, Toy Story 3 blends comedy, action and heartfelt emotion to give moviegoers a uniquely moving experience that touches the heart and tickles the funny bone.
In the third film, Woody plays the only sane man more than he has ever done before, and has the most reasonable, selfless arguments to stay with Andy of all. Moreover, after escaping the incinerator, he tells the others not to other chasing after Lotso for revenge, as he's not worth it. In short, he's far more mature and level-headed in the third film than in the first film.
Through teamwork, perseverance and collaboration, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, Hamm, the Potato Heads, Slinky Dog and Rex band together to overcome their many obstacles and disagreements.
My dad’s favorite song. Every friggin’ morning on the way to drop me off at school, him and i would sing that song.

Tangled is real winner
Newman in 1995: Alan Menken! ALWAYS ALAN MENKEN!
Newman in 2010: I FINALLY BEAT ALAN MENKEN!
@@dariussalepetru9951 To each their own
Every word that comes out his mouth sounds like a song to me.

I think thats the best thing you could say about an artist.
Lol
Well Deserved Award for Randy Newman, He also Won the Oscar in this Category for "If I Didn't Have You" from Monsters, Inc.

Nobody mentioning Timberlake's blatant fake laugh at 2:13 ?? It's so pathetic it's hilarious
"Oh damn I'm on TV, better laugh". Disgusting.
Best Original Song:
"Coming Home" - "Country Song"

What a great speech! I'm so glad for Randy Newman and all the others at Pixar
This was a deserving win. Great song.
Both Randy Newman's Oscar wins for If I Didn't Have You and We Belong Together were used in the end credits of their respective films: Monsters Inc. and Toy Story 3
What an amazing voice.
Randy Newman is a legend. Great speech, great singer.
He maybe a good songwriter but He's a lousy singer. He sings like Kermit the frog after downing a bottle of Hennesey
I see the light is amazing! I wanted tangled to win an oscar! I wonder what tangled really won as a award
Yeah I agree

This delightfully charming movie celebrates the importance of childhood memories and imagination.
True friendship is practically the theme of the whole movie, which is poignant in the theme of Toy Story 3, "We Belong Together."
This should have been his like 14th Oscar for this amazing, talented man
Coming Home was the best out of all of them, it truly deserved the oscsr

I've been looking for it everywhere! I like that part where he tells the orchestra to stop playing the wind-up song.
My childhood movie Toy story my favourite you go Randy Newman yes! 👏🏽
The central theme of Toy Story 3 is moving on and accepting change.

What a cool video!! This is so awesome!! :)
i thought this was "we belong together" by mariah carey........
The film begins with a shot of a blue sky with uniquely shaped clouds, and ends with a shot into the blue sky with the same uniquely shaped clouds.

It looked like Justin Timberlake wasn't laughing then when he looked at the screen and he was on it he cracked up lol.
I love Randy Newman. That is all
:D
Christina Aguilera and Cher deserved more with Bound To You and You Haven see the last of me, both from the Burlesque film.
Timberlake makes me sick only laughing cause of looking at spacey laugh on the screen.
Toy Story 3 roped Tangled with their new song by Randy Newman
I wanna try the Randy Newman chicken.
There's a screen above and they see what we are seeing.
Toy Story 3: smart, funny third movie is scarier than the first two.
Toy Story 3 is about change and embracing transitions in life.
Tangled ,,I See In The Light" is real winner not Toy Story 3 ,,We Belong Toghether"
@TheAC29 I have listened to 'I See The Light' and I didn't really like it. It got better as the song progressed but it didn't really have that quality that Alan's Oscar winning songs had.

Sajda from My Name Is Khan should have been nominated

one thing i wanna clarify it 's not AR RAKHMAN it's AR R A H M A N
