Welcome back everyone! With the Arathi making a sudden return in Hallowfall I thought it was fitting to explore the history of this lost empire! So a group of humans traveled south and called the region Azeroth? Did they not know the planet they’re on is already called that? Did the Keepers not share this info with the Vrykul and early humans?
“In the 40th year after the dark portal opened where there is only war.” The hallowfall arathi are very much a Warhammer reference and out of all our Allies in khazalgar these are the ones who might betray us. If the parallels to pandaria hold that is.

its not though. the arathi we encounter in this expansion are a fleet that left the main empire 20 years ago. There is another whole empire existing on another island we havent found yet that exists on another island for much longer
Some of them left the eastern kingdoms, sailed to an unknown island and settled there. They lived there in isolation for thousands of years until venturing off and finding Khaz Algar
Its kind of confusing in gane without reading the books or doing side quests because the characters make it sound like theyre from the original expeditions, making it seem like they otiginally left a few decades ago at most
@@JJJBunney001 Hallowfall Arathi ARE an expedition that left Avaloren* 15-20 years ago. I'm a little confused. The Arathi have been in Hallowfall for over a thousand years and have produced generations of children who are now a mix of elves and humans. But Faerin (among others) was on one of the ships that originally crashed there and is over 1000 years old and looks to be in her early 20s? I must have missed something.
I think they produced generations of kids back at the original location where they first landed (it’s unknown) but she was the only kid in hallow fall when the group split and went to hallow fall. She’s assumed to be mixed with elven blood so she could live a while, she would be 30ish. Depends how old she was when they made the trip, but 13-15 years seem to have passed
The Arathi traveled across the sea to a new continent 1,000 years ago. A small contingent of their military has been in hallowfall for a little over a decade.
Genuine question, obviously I dont mind the inclusion but does her being black even make any sense? Where did they meet these darker skinned humans? Assuming when the Vrykul became flesh they had a lighter complexion out in the colder weather as would make sense, when would darker skinned humans even have the chance to evolve? Without evolution from the bottom up itd mean lighter skinned humans would have to go through enough strife that a darker complextion would win out through breeding in a more desert area but the time needed for that hasnt really passed since the first appearance. Tldr: while they belong do black humans even make sense in wow
I'm just trying to figure out how old she is. The video said she's the child who saved the sacred flame when they crashed, so she's like 1000+ years old? Did they settle somewhere else before being transported to Hallowfall? Did I miss something?
@@jotarokujo3603 their expedition is more recent I think. They had already seperated off from the main empire and their leader out their had the visions than caused them to set off again when they got teleported. The writing is pretty loose and poor though, I mean how in such a small period of time from her childhood to now did a pretty wrecked crew thatd lost most of their leaders build all this infrastructure with this level of sophistication. All the skilled people for that but not enough to mend an eye or an arm for Fearin?
Titanforged come in a bunch of colors, it can be as simple as that. Also, they turned from stone and even in the case of gnomes turned from machines into flesh. It really isn't that deep.
