I'm an introvert too, and we have to learn to not take it personal. And if you really want to say something you focus in getting your voice louder, or repeating until they heard. Didn’t one direction’s management make Zayn seem like the “quiet, mysterious” type on purpose? Y’all have to remember that their toxic management literally gave all of the boys specific roles in the band to make them marketable to so many teenage girls that loved them. I think Zayn himself came out & said one time that he wanted to be able to talk more in interviews & stuff with the other boys but he couldn’t because their management gave him a specific brand that was the complete opposite of how he actually is.
There’s no way that nobody was gonna arrest Zayn for terrorism. He only wore that shirt to get attention because republicans who watched the show where he was compared to him due to his hair do at the time and the band coming to America just after the Boston Bombing wasn’t helping that was poor publicity and management on both Cowballs and Modest at the time they should’ve postponed those shows until this blew over. Also Zayn was done when all the interviewers want to know about when he apparently was gonna get married to Pierre Edwards even though there was no actually plan to do so. His relationships were set up from the beginning of it and so were Louis. If he didn’t get with Pierre was gonna be Gigi because an interviewer brought her up even before Zayn had ever heard of her at all. Zayn left the band to get out of the fake relationship he had with Pierre that was causing him stress and making him not want to eat. Gigi didn’t save Zayn at all she was his next relationship already lined up because he wasn’t supposed to be single both him and Louis were the ones who had to have serious relationships so the rumours of them not possibly being straight would stop even though they didn’t and Zayn shows no signs of being interested in either Gigi nor Pierre. The industry has and always will force it’s Boyband members to hide who they truly are due to their strong female fanbase. Although most say they will except that they aren’t straight if they came out as not, but in all honesty deep down in my heart I don’t believe that’s true they will lose many of their fans if they do so and the fear of that has been implemented in these boys for the rest of their lives unless they actually start to be selfish and stop caring about what others think, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon the fear is too big and strong for them right now.

I don't think it's was only zayn who felt depressed being in the group. The remaining 4 members too had problems in the group. They just reacted to it differently. Zayn was just introverted so it was more noticeable that he wasn't happy in the group during that time.
obviously everyone had a difficult time and sure at some point they were depressed. but now you come to "justify" that he only showed himself that way because he suffered from social anxiety. and the actions of the other boys are not justified either. because it's okay, they were all going through a really bad time, but they didn't have the need to laugh at jokes about zayn, ignore him, and so on. they were supposed to be best friends. (their acts are not justifiable but it is not for much, I suppose)
Firstly, I don't think that Zayn left the band without first communicating his dissatisfaction, I think that at that moment everyone felt it, some more intensely than others and I think Which was why Louis was so upset at the time. But it didn't feel right to feel.

Another thing that breaks my heart is he wrote 41 songs for their album FOUR, and guess how many got put to use? 0. Just imagine how much more ignored he felt. I know he had fun in the band even if he doesn’t want to admit it, and I know the boys had his back, but I’m so glad he left when he did. He really doesn’t deserve the hate and racism. I’m so proud of him and I’m so happy that he’s doing much better now, but it’s still so sad knowing what he had to go through. In the first clip he was answering a question asked of the entire group, and simply chose to answer non-verbally. In the second, he was heard by Louis next to him- but they were all answering at the same time- which is something not uncommon for them.

Fr. Liam recently bragged about physically fighting with Zayn. We saw a clip (in the early years) of Harry and Zayn physically fighting just off camera- these are just two things we know. There were a lot of fighting and issues that caused the split.

He's an introvert. I'm not a fan of 1D but this happens when you're in a group of friends with more than 3 people. Sometimes it even happen to 3. But I have 7 really close friends, 2 of them are introverts and barely speak but they told us even if they don't speak they feel happy around us. Also, all of us have to be really loud when speaking cause many times the rest are just having conversations with each other. It is hard sometimes but you have to be loud

If you want to get technical about it the only ones that knew each other before the band started were Zayn and Liam while Louis and Harry knew each other while Niall knew none of them at all and Harry didn’t know the other neither did Louis not Zayn nor did Liam. So the only one who stuck out of all of this was the only one who wanted the band to stay together the most which was Niall. He just honestly wanted them all to be happy and work together even though that probably never happened not once when you put five ppl who barely know each together in hotel rooms and going the same interviews being asked the same questions and being accused for the same crap your bound for it to end in disaster and guess what it did. And let’s be honest Zayn bought out his contract while the rest let theirs run dry and the only reason why you haven’t seen an reunion yet is because Harry don’t really want one and his current manager won’t let it happen because he don’t want to lose any money off of it because he will and he knows it. You can still speak to them everyday and say nice things about them, but still not want to be in that environment with them at all and that’s what I believe Harry may not want nor will he’s management let him have.

the boys were really teens when one direction was formed. How can you expect kids of such young age to behave like matured adults? they were playful, messing around always and with each other yet had each others back at hard times. At some point all 5 of them went thro' such hardships but it is amazing that they stayed together for almost 5 yrs.

It happens in friendship groups all the time n it happens in bands. It happens :( he was very softly spoken so it was easy to be spoken over. They all loved eachother tho in the end.

I think some of that "hated" came from the fans, as well, because they blamed Zayn for the group's breakup. But Zayn cannot be blamed because if those boys wanted to stay together, they could have replaced Zayn with another singer. They chose to split up. I think Zayn was simply trying not to have a nervous breakdown, which could have happened if he had not left abruptly. Sometimes, we just have to put our mental health first.

I think this is a bit misconceived because although Zayn went through his own hardships during his time in the band, I wouldn’t say the boys intentionally treated him bad or disliked him. He just became more distant as the years went by and the boys usually did most of the talking so he wouldn’t have to. But when he did try to talk he sometimes got ignored, which happens to introverts all the time unfortunately.

Combine all of these things together, as well as being thrown into the fishbowl non-stop touring life with being gone from home and family for months on end, and it all became too much. If Zayn wasn’t happy, it was better for him to leave, and the rest of the boys were able to go on perfectly well as a foursome.

All the boys were treated terribly by management. Modest was racist to Zayn, homophobic to Harry (and louis?) and it really crushed the guys. You can see how happy they were from about 2010 to 2013 then they get overwork. I'm just as hopeful as everyone else there's a reunion, but I love how free and happy they are solo💙💙

There’s no way that nobody was gonna arrest Zayn for terrorism. He only wore that shirt to get attention because republicans who watched the show where he was compared to him due to his hair do at the time and the band coming to America just after the Boston Bombing wasn’t helping that was poor publicity and management on both Cowballs and Modest at the time they should’ve postponed those shows until this blew over. Also Zayn was done when all the interviewers want to know about when he apparently was gonna get married to Pierre Edwards even though there was no actually plan to do so. His relationships were set up from the beginning of it and so were Louis. If he didn’t get with Pierre was gonna be Gigi because an interviewer brought her up even before Zayn had ever heard of her at all. Zayn left the band to get out of the fake relationship he had with Pierre that was causing him stress and making him not want to eat. Gigi didn’t save Zayn at all she was his next relationship already lined up because he wasn’t supposed to be single both him and Louis were the ones who had to have serious relationships so the rumours of them not possibly being straight would stop even though they didn’t and Zayn shows no signs of being interested in either Gigi nor Pierre. The industry has and always will force it’s Boyband members to hide who they truly are due to their strong female fanbase. Although most say they will except that they aren’t straight if they came out as not, but in all honesty deep down in my heart I don’t believe that’s true they will lose many of their fans if they do so and the fear of that has been implemented in these boys for the rest of their lives unless they actually start to be selfish and stop caring about what others think, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon the fear is too big and strong for them right now.

I don't think it's was only zayn who felt depressed being in the group. The remaining 4 members too had problems in the group. They just reacted to it differently. Zayn was just introverted so it was more noticeable that he wasn't happy in the group during that time.

In the first clip he was answering a question asked of the entire group, and simply chose to answer non-verbally.

He's an introvert. I'm not a fan of 1D but this happens when you're in a group of friends with more than 3 people. Sometimes it even happen to 3. But I have 7 really close friends, 2 of them are introverts and barely speak but they told us even if they don't speak they feel happy around us. Also, all of us have to be really loud when speaking cause many times the rest are just having conversations with each other. It is hard sometimes but you have to be loud

If you want to get technical about it the only ones that knew each other before the band started were Zayn and Liam while Louis and Harry knew each other while Niall knew none of them at all and Harry didn’t know the other neither did Louis not Zayn nor did Liam. So the only one who stuck out of all of this was the only one who wanted the band to stay together the most which was Niall. He just honestly wanted them all to be happy and work together even though that probably never happened not once when you put five ppl who barely know each together in hotel rooms and going the same interviews being asked the same questions and being accused for the same crap your bound for it to end in disaster and guess what it did. And let’s be honest Zayn bought out his contract while the rest let theirs run dry and the only reason why you haven’t seen an reunion yet is because Harry don’t really want one and his current manager won’t let it happen because he don’t want to lose any money off of it because he will and he knows it. You can still speak to them everyday and say nice things about them, but still not want to be in that environment with them at all and that’s what I believe Harry may not want nor will he’s management let him have.

the boys were really teens when one direction was formed. How can you expect kids of such young age to behave like matured adults? they were playful, messing around always and with each other yet had each others back at hard times. At some point all 5 of them went thro' such hardships but it is amazing that they stayed together for almost 5 yrs.

I think some of that "hated" came from the fans, as well, because they blamed Zayn for the group's breakup. But Zayn cannot be blamed because if those boys wanted to stay together, they could have replaced Zayn with another singer. They chose to split up.
I think Zayn was simply trying not to have a nervous breakdown, which could have happened if he had not left abruptly. Sometimes, we just have to put our mental health first.

I think this is a bit misconceived because although Zayn went through his own hardships during his time in the band, I wouldn’t say the boys intentionally treated him bad or disliked him. He just became more distant as the years went by and the boys usually did most of the talking so he wouldn’t have to. But when he did try to talk he sometimes got ignored, which happens to introverts all the time unfortunately.

Combine all of these things together, as well as being thrown into the fishbowl non-stop touring life with being gone from home and family for months on end, and it all became too much. If Zayn wasn’t happy, it was better for him to leave, and the rest of the boys were able to go on perfectly well as a foursome.

All the boys were treated terribly by management. Modest was racist to Zayn, homophobic to Harry (and louis?) and it really crushed the guys. You can see how happy they were from about 2010 to 2013 then they get overwork. I'm just as hopeful as everyone else there's a reunion, but I love how free and happy they are solo💙💙
