To be honest, it is not completely one direction's fault. Its mainly the media and the OBSESSIVE fans who pressurized them into being perfect. Some fans (including me) were fine with whatever decision they made. The media really ruined them by putting tags on them and pushing them to create the 'perfect boy band'. They were fine as they were. The media and management really really took a toll on all 5 of them..

Yes so true, people just want them to be prefect and they don't respect their privacy. Like stop. They're humans too. The same is with the K-Pop industry too, fans go way too far. People have done so many things that invade 1D's privacy. I heard that a girl literally went inside a toilet and licked a toilet seat her idol sat on. Girls dressed up as boys to go into a mens washroom for their idols. Camera's in rings given as gifts. Camera's in hotel rooms. People seriously need to learn to respect people's privacy... even mobbing them at the airport and invading their personal space.
(btw the examples i gave are of other boy bands, i don't know 1D well enough yet tho the mobbing thing is common for every popular group)

True ,even I feel guilty that when Zayn decided to leave the band I was angry on him and didn't try to understand his situation😢..but now I know it was the right decision and respect that
While I can understand where ur coming from. I hope u know that a band entering the music industry especially ones as young and groundbreaking as one direction naturally invites a level of media attention and fan adoration. This attention, when properly managed can actually help push the bands success. When the band gets a lot of attention, it can actually boost their success just like what happened with One Direction.

It does take time to adjust to fame but they didn't get any time so the pressure and the expectations of people killed the band...

I love how he didn't just focus on one member in this video. Since Harry's intense fame most channels usually only focus on him when talking about 1D so its nice to see someone talk about all the boys equally.

Fans need to understand that they are following characters planned by mgnt as this vid explains. Whitney Houston could not be herself by contract. Don't sign a contract if u don't want to act a script also. Be urself in a local music venue but don't expect to get rich either

One Direction was a popular boy band, but the artists are finally expressing their creative selves freely.
It's soo sad to see that they were suffering like this . And I'm soo glad that they're finally able to make the music they always wanted . I'll always support their solo career and also would like the fans to stop shoving the same question as to when they'll come back again and again

Me and my brother were a fan of One Direction,
But watching this video,
I couldn't say nothing but feel bad for them,
It wasn't their fault, it's the fact that it was their management that pressured and they pushed them to be "perfect".
But I'm happy that the boys went on to their solo careers,
Create their own music, being heard and free, and follow their hearts in the one true direction.
And I'm okay with it. Because I'm happy for them.

l always thought that One Direction was a couple of teens just making music and having fun, until i watched this video. l truly loved them l didn't know that they broke up it just saddens me l really thought they were all happy, Zayn, Liam, Niall, Harry, Louis l love your music is and will always be amazing
I was really sad and couldn't find out the reason for them to leave the band but after this video now I feel what happened was right and as long they're happy it's ok even there's no 1D again hope they're going to their own one direction of their life💗

My elder cousins were directioners and we would listen to their music all the time. ID really was the best thing that ever happened in the history of pop music. But sadly, they were just teenagers who didn't know what to do in life yet. They were suffering under the controls of the management, had to be the fakes they were told to be.
I'm happy that they went solo and can express themselves freely. I may not be a fan but if I ever met them, I want to give a big hug to each and everyone individually.
Thank you for this night fam ....we still love this guys so much ...louies , Harries , lovers/horandogs , zquads, paynos ..we are them , just more names now...we can see in their music how free they feel now ...and aside all dark sides ...they kept their friendship so close to them ♥️.
I am a directioner since 2013, and yeah it really felt sad to see the boys leaving the band one by one and I always wanted them to get back together but I didn't know that how they suffered as I was just a kid then but now I'm a 21yrs now I understand it n I still adore them as my idols but not like when I was a kid or teen I respect there solo careers and I listen the 1d trances as well as theirs solo many of my directioner friends claims that they left the Fandom coz they understood that 1d won't be back but they understand the fact and here I saw this video it is crystal clear here

My childhood band..anyway, Agon you need to check out the rock/metal bands. Bands has pretty interesting back stories.
It has nothing to do with the boys, they were happy but it was always the management who pressured them..... But still they tried their best and they are still the best boy band ever and they wrote amazing songs ❤️

I was first introduced to one D by my friend in 8th standard and have been humming their song since then with my friends...been a big fan of them and moreover i am happy for them
It makes me sad they all broke up especially when 1D is my childhood and I have been listening to their songs even till today. But I'm still happy that they are doing much better now. I hope they will meet each other one day again.

But we should also acknowledge the freedom they needed,they were artists,not slaves. They are or would be at their best sooner or later. And we ain't gonna stop loving them. One true Direction.♥️
Thank you so much for making this video. After watching this video, I completely understand why they broke up. They were so unfree and totally controlled, and the tensions were so high towards the end. As much as I miss one direction, I will now refrain from begging them to reunite. They seem to be happy in their own career path and that's all really matters. I do hope they still talk to each other and remain friends tho (especially Louis and Harry).
i feel so bad for my boys. they were all too young to be dealing w all the pressure and hatred thrown towards 'em. however, things are better between them now. they seem to be happy doing what they're doing as solo artists

I used to be a huge fan of One Direction in my teen years. And honestly, seeing this side of them made me feel really upset for them, and I really am happy that they decided to find their own happiness after the era was over 💕
I know im two months late but as a directioner i think its safe to say we all knew what was truly going on behind the scenes eventhough we didnt know everything. We knew that they were overworked to the point of pure tiredness and exhaustion and that their management treated them horribally hence the reason why we were so strong and supported them thorought the entire journey. The fandom also saw problems and tried our hardest to fix what we could which hopefully helped.
I still hope someday they'll fix their conflicts and organize a reunion world tour that us 1D fans deserve

this is not just a story about 1d, this is also a story about a lot of other famous bands/artists because this industry is a really difficult place to be in
Never been a directioner, but as a fan of Louis, I'm just happy 1D is only a history. 1D is an important step of each boy that cant be skipped. But to be repeated? no. In 1D, they went through trial and errors, what is right and wrong, which choice can be repeated and not. I dont know for the other boys, but for Louis, I'm glad now he perfectly knows what he likes and what he wants to do. He can express his music in the way he loves to listen and to sing, despite being in the lesser popular genre (pop-rock/pop-punk), I can see he's truly enjoying every single bits of the process
