Most people don't tend to run into dangerous/venomous creatures here unless they either go looking for them, or they straight up put themselves in harms way. When you go hiking you might encounter snakes but they generally try to get away from you unless you go chasing them. Spiders, yeah depending on the type they can be more of a nuisance when your living in more rural areas but generally you encounter the harmless ones more than the deadly ones.

Love going to the SD Safari Park. The platypus exhibit definitely one of its highlights. There's always a line but worth it every time when they are out and about. Wonderful creatures!
