Thanks to this video we were able to fix a 4 year old problem with our Benq projector. Good thing we did not buy a replacement lamp as we thought that's were the problem was.
Hey man! is this type of vertical lines you are getting an intermitent issue? i mean are the lines more present in the beginning when you just turn on the projector? and then after some time they go away and dissapear? tnx!!
Yes we have the same issue. I was skeptical at first but since we are desperate and the problem is worsening, we tried the instructions on this video. Shockingly enough it worked. We thought we needed to replace the lens and bulb of the projector. We were about to order and decided to open the projector to prepare for its replacement. Good thing we tried this first before making a purchase. I hope it will work for you as it did with ours.

Does this work for sure? My projector is mounted to ceiling. I really can't stand the lines anymore and it's a lot of work taking it down.
@@MakieKimae I flicked with my finger over and on top of the projector in line with the lens but towards the back and the lines moved! I had the movie paused in one spot with white background and where lots of vertical lines were there so I could see well. In my case the lines are appearing over white background. So I kept flicking with my finger and the lines all disappeared. They did come back after a week and I tried the flick trick and it works again. Now it's occasional issue and not as terrible as it was. Try flicking really hard with your index finger over and near the word BENQ especially near the N and Q. Just to clarify I did not remove the projector, it's still mounted upside down and I did not open it , I just did it while it was on and the issue had appeared on the screen with the movie paused.
