I've just learnt of this rubber band method also. Which I started two weeks ago. But my braids are a bit larger as a beginner, I'm so proud of them because I did them without the need of going to a hairdresser & paying the expense. I will be doing this style from now on as its so easy. Till I become more of an expert then do smaller braids. Your hair style is fantastic, gorgeous good idea installing the rubber bands 1st to all your partitions. They look beautiful with the clips, and you do remind me of Janet Jackson. Lol!!

are the clear rubberbands ok to use or are the black ones best just don't want to break my hair thanks!
The clear ones break, as soon as I started using them they just ripped lol so i had to go buy these black ones. It won't break your hair off, just make sure you cut them when you are taking them out and not pulling them out, you can also coat the black rubber bands in oil so it's not dry rubber against your hair.
