Hi Lucy, n.2 "to be a picture of health": in Italy we say "essere il ritratto della salute"; n.9 "to go under the knife": in Italy we say "andare sotto i ferri" :)
Exactly and the idiom "to pop one's clogs" makes me think of the Italian equivalent "stirare le zampe" zampe means paws.
