The cord has it’s own hide place (Sorry for my bad english ) saludos !!! Y Felicitaciones. Since Pachuca Hidalgo Mex. You’ve a beautifull acuarium. Enjoy it
Thank you. I did find it. It looks much better. And thank you for the compliment on my aquarium. I'll be rescaping some soon to make more improvements.
Hi, Could you tell me how to fix the cord??? Like, after you take the motor out where do you put the cord and the motor? Can you explain to me how you did it??
Don't know if you know but you don´t have to pop the powerline over the back. There are ridges on the left side of intake where the cable is supposed to go so you don't even see it.

I can't exactly, only because I don't have these filters anymore. From memory, there is a bit of a slight pathing for the cord to follow and it is snug, but once you find it, it fits nicely.
Hello! I just got the filter today and also have the sound that is very annoying. Did it improve after a week? Was supposed to be so silent. Thank you for your answer!

Update: It's been over a month and I might be having a bit of an issue with this filter. I do need to see if this continues to be an issue or if perhaps I've done something wrong. More about that here: ua-cam.com/video/QpQRGUHw_Do/v-deo.html
I’ve been eying this brand, too, based on KGT and PrimeTime videos. (Worth noting that KGT sells them, soooo.) But yeah I have the TopFin filters so I feel like “Should I really spend the money…?” I also have a Sicce Shark I want to use somewhere.
I'm using these on 3 aquariums. The only con, imo, is that they don't have any way to add a prefilter sponge. Because of that, I'm not able to use these in tanks with cherry shrimp or fry. I still use my Top Fin hobs in those tanks. I love that these Tidals have a surface skimming feature and that they are self-priming, but I'm not sure I'd recommend replacing any hobs that are already working perfectly well for you. Maybe if one ever breaks down and you need a replacement, this would be worth checking out.
@@AnyfinGoes Ah gotcha. I think the Tidal 55 has the telescoping intake which can be covered by a prefilter. I never used to worry about power outages in my old apartment (power lines were underground) but where I live now, they can happen. So the no-priming aspect appeals to me. Plus all the other features.

As a skimmer, it worked fine. It seemed to be a 2nd intake higher up. The grooves were right in the side of the device. I don't use this filter any more. My issue with it is that my tanks have shrimp and they were always getting in there, to a not-so-healthy end and I couldn't find a way to cover the area effectively.
Who else can make installing a HOB look more difficult than it has to be? I've since installed this filter on 2 more tanks. So far so good. Click the likes and subs and bells and stuff so that you know when I post updates.

I have 3 of them and all of them were this loud for the first day. Initially, I was disappointed but after about a day of filtering, they quieted down. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of them or what, but I have heard that my experience was not the norm with this filter. But if yours does make some noise, give it a day or two and it should quiet down.

If my Google Translate is working correctly, this should be a correct response: Yes, putting the filter on the side of the tank, rather than the back, would make the filter less noticeable and probably be more aesthetic. I actually didn't think of it, but I do wonder if I would have had enough flow for the length of the 20 gallon long tank. I don't have this filter any more though, so I can't try it out.

Is it okay to rinse the biomedia that came with the filter in reverse osmosis water or does it have to be aquarium water?
I just subscribed because the name. Thanks for your help
Did it clean the surface bacteria after a while ?
It did!

Yes, it did improve quite a bit. I have since installed an air stone and the rising bubbles from that are much louder than the filter now.
@@AnyfinGoes Ah nice! That is good to know thank you so much!

I have no idea why, but I've had to turn on comments for this video three times now.

@@AnyfinGoes have you use the little blue stabilisers on the back to help combat any vibration?

Wow it sound so noisy compare to your old one.
Sounds loud
It did at first but quieted down a bit after a day or two.
Read the instructions to tidy the cord
I eventually did. :D But that is good advice.

I guess you didn't do the research well enough.
