I just bought the book and want to start with the Sheep. I'm thinking of using two strands of 4ply sock yarn [Drops Fabel] with a fine mohair thread for extra fluffiness, slightly thicker than DK l think it will be. What size needles will be best, I have 3.25, 3.5, 3.75 and 4mm short circular needs [three of each size] . Your Sheep is gorgeous, I hope I can make one without tearing out my hair!
