A little about me:

quck question in the room: the names dominant and subdominant, do they refer to the tonika of the song.
for Example. Song is C-Major and Chordchange is going to G-Major - the Dominant of C.
one bar later, in bar 3, the chords go, for example , from A-Minor to D-Minor
Do one say "whe are going to the dominant of A" or is the dominant just referring to the dominant of the "very root" C-Major?

Well if someone were to say 'the dominant of' it always mean go to the 5th of whatever they say. So go to the dominant G means D, the dominant of Am mean E, etc

I think you should stick to what you know more to avoid getting lost, you learn little by little, youshould not feel ashamed of what you play, in a matter of weeks you'll improve, it takes patience
