Its great looking back to see how far we have come, brings a tear to my eye
It gets better bro
When it happened I just went, I was cooking at the time the news broke, I dropped everything got in the car, just had to be there at the start of this journey.
Not for a long time have I felt like this, it's amazing
@@cyruslad5462 You are the reason why this club is so special. Awesome loyal fans.
@@cyruslad5462 I was at the ground when the news broke, i had just finished college so I walked over from gateshead as i heard the rum ous and tbh I just went on the 1% chance it was happening, idk how to explain it the air just felt warm I had to go. Then i waited around for an hour or so and just as i was about to leave for training everyone went mental. One of my fondest moments in my life.
@@mxp1514 I know what you mean, I've heard people describe an atmospheres as electric, I understand that now. I stood next to the guy in a black and white burka and just soaked it up.
I moved to Newcastle from the South East and I would never go back down south the people are the nicest people around great people I ❤ the North East.
I hear that a lot.
We are haha
Thanks your now an honorary Geordie 😁
Classic and cute.
Bruno and Trippier happily joined.
43 points with 4 games remaining.
Comedy gold
12 months later some are asking if they could stay in the top 4.🤯
To be honest i would have said and thought the same thing back then, but thats the past.
As it currently stands Newcastle in the last 15 games have Won 10/Drawn 2/Lost 3 and are currently sitting in 9th place on 43 points and only 8 points off of Europe.
The only team to amass more points than Newcastle in that time is Liverpool.
Fair play to Eddie Howe he's done a brilliant Job so far.
Who would have thought Newcastle with 1 win sitting Bottom would be 8 points of a European place now with 4 games to go.
Deadkraine
Eddie Howe manager of the season
A Scotsman dissing North East is hilarious in itself.

A panel of experts 😅 who would want to go to the North East they said, erm Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes perhaps?
A panel of experts . I'd call them a bunch of arseholes if arseholes were to come in bunches .
going back to December i remeber the feeling of us nearly 100% sure that we were going down. now we are looking for a top 10 finish. one of the biggest transformations ever
After that 1-1 draw to Watford in January I thought we were 100% relegated
@@Ethan_Ross to be honest, i was looking at our fixtures after the original Watford draw thinking "where are these points coming from?". From the second worst season of my life, to the best. Unbelievable.

An entire panel and not one of them with the balls to say they can do it ...
nobody believed...except the newcastle united fans.9th today when am watching this video!history made
This show be nothing without Jeff
It's NOTHING now.THIS formula only worked because of the original cast and who they were naturally. This feels forced AF
13 games without a win, 19 in the table with 5 points... Now 13 games, 6 wins, 6 draws and 1 lose 24 points, 4th in the table.... Best defence in the league with only 10 conceded...What a heck of a year this has been...
The same pundits were in favour of steve Bruce… and criticised the fans for their frustrations. Look at the situation now 😂
Look us now 4th in the prem these fuckers ain't got a clue this should be shown on sky right now
What does Merson mean you'll never hear him say a bad word about the fans? It was only about a year ago that he said they all expect too much and that they all expect to be winning the league lmaoo
This aged well...
Jeff for Newcastle’s tourist manager after soccer Saturday 😂
Fast forward, 23/4/22, 9th in the table 🤫
I love how this appeared in my news feed due so many people coming back for it
well i mean… we got to january and attracted the right players… one loan player looking to make it permanent. 31 points Merson… try 40+ points with plenty of games left to play. and well said Jeff Stelling
Love coming back to this video
13th May... mathematically safe from Relegation it appears the The Big Trouble at St James's was not so big after all and still 2 games to go...
This aged very well love it
Yeah, we are in trouble but so are Norwich, Burnley, Watford, Leeds and Southampton.
Who is here now after Newcastle are 2nd in the form table since Christmas haha I love it BRUNOOOOOOO
I hope they rewatch this
Getting Relegated huh?!?! Nah I’m here when Newcastle Sit 9TH IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Watching this in April 2022. The jokes on you gentlemen.
A good job done by our ex manager and the team pulled together. Bournemouth fan.
This video cudnt have aged any worse
This aged well, duck eggs
They need young players, cheaper and with potential and they will play even in second league. With the prices today they have to spend 500+ millions on good players that might no want to play in second league. It took man city a lot with a good start of players. This will take at least 5-6 years untill a trophy so why throw 70 on sterling or something like that.
Because we can

Sat here reading your comment while we are sat in 9th.. amazing haha
Watching it today and we are 9th.. 😊
9th but its a false position really. Leicester are 2 points below and have 2 games on them. Newcastle finish 10th like every season.

What a mug Boyd is. I'm from Glasgow, Boyd is a Rangers fan and one minute he can't understand why Gerrard leaves to go to Villa and the next he's slagging the North East.
He's most likely referring to the absolute shitfest that was Middlesbrough at the time, when Strachan was in charge.

They're too dumb for it to register
Bunch of jokers.
Well, this aged well. We're currently sitting in 9th, on 43 points. 9th! From dead and buried under Brucey, to close to a European spot. Ridiculous. Forget about the money, what Howe has done with the team he inherited is absolutely amazing. Aye we bought a few players in January, spending £90+M...But that's what you do. We spent a bit of money like any other club would do, and we've spent it well. But, the team Howe inherited...Look at what he's done with them. Joelinton. What a turnaround, one of my players of the season, and I wanted him to be sold in January. Unreal turnaround. "Nobody is gonna want to go to Newcastle, in a relegation scrap"... Trippier came in, who had just won La Liga. Helped us with some important goals. Bruno. What a signing he has been! Different class. Targett has been quality, at left-back. Big Dan Burn, solid. Onwards and upwards! Eddie Howe's Black & White Army! 💪⚪⚫🏁
Aged like the finest wine from France this comment ⚪️⚫️
The problem was Steve Bruce, not the players. Eddie Howe with same team from start of pre-season would have had us mid table without the January signings.
It’s summed up by What the two managers made of Joelinton. An overpriced flop of a striker under Bruce, and an all round midfield dynamo under Howe.
They're not laughing now are they? bunch of tossers. Eddie has transformed the club like no other , regardless of the money.
This has aged well.
Well this has aged beautifully⚫️⚪️

Doesn’t mean we aren’t big. Wigan have won more than Newcastle in recent times, are you saying there bigger than Newcastle? Have a day off.
Newcastle haven't won a major trophy in England since the 50s.
@@kazor1531 as I just said to the other person mate, for me winning trophies doesn’t define a big club, because if that was the case Wigan would be a bigger club than Newcastle and no disrespect to Wigan but they aren’t bigger than Newcastle not even close. Yes Newcastle haven’t won major trophies for a long time which isn’t good but still doesn’t mean you aren’t a big club

Small club Newcastle.
Newcastle 2 Arsenal 0... 46 points, 12th at present with one game of the season to go..
we ended with 49 points and have signed Wood, Pope, Targett, Botman, Guiamares, Trippier and Dan Burn with more to come, top 6 next season
Recently when up to Newcastle, it’s actually quite a nice city. A bit hilly but nothing wrong with it. Didn’t feel unsafe, let’s put it this way I be more concern of my personal belongings in the tube than say in Newcastle
It’s a bloody lovely city. Hilly? Sure you weren’t in Sheffield? And yeah, most of London is a dump
@@alishaadams3854 clearly not cycle around Gosforth before then
Hilly? Where did you go Gateshead?
I was on trial at both Sunderland and Newcastle during the Defoe days. Really quiet place for the most part, not much going on but it all depends on what type of lifestyle you live. I personally liked it ,a real community and togetherness vibe I got from the People there. Weather wasn't terrible during my 2/3 months there although it was pre season. Don't see to many South Americans moving down there though lol
Must of been in byker
If they're going to stay in the PL they need wholesale changes in the winter transfer window
I think everyone knows that's the case.
But however they bring in to
Saint James Park in January is going to need to hit the ground running straight away none of this taking time to gel as a team.
If they take time to gel
Newcastle United will be in
The Championship next season & then how knows how things will go will Saudis stick around for to long then know one knows apart from them.
I would personally say they need
8 player to come in to
Saint James Park in January minimum & that tends not to workout that well when clubs need to bring in so many players at the one time.
It's going to be a crazy January Window in Newcastle that's for sure.
They not staying in no prem. it’s over.
@@alanfox691 they got their first win of the PL season and hopefully that will give the players a winning momontum

Kris Boyd couldn’t wait to get out the north east cos he couldn’t score a goal to save his life. One of the worst I’ve ever seen in a boro shirt 🤡
Dismal player and person
Three or four signings in key areas and this is a good team with a manager that knows what he's doing, like Eddie Howe. They are already improving steadily with each game. They would already have four wins by now if not for some stupid individual mistakes.
Even if Newcastle go down they have one Ashley and one Bruce less at the club. It is still absolutely shocking what those two did to them.
I am thinking what? But then I realised this was 4 months ago! Glad to see how far we've come & remind us how crap Paul Merson's comments usually are.

very true, it's insane how bias this all is.
Yeah the favouritism that mediocre English managers get in the PL is terrible. Roy Hodgeson gets a standing ovation and people talk about him being a servant of English football in his last game in charge of palace. We're these people blind when was England boss?
Exactly!
37 matches played and we're sitting in 12th position the day after giving Arsenal a battering and sending their fans on a long miserable journey back home. I hope the Sky pundits give credit where it is due: Eddie Howe "Manager of the Season" should be their next topic of conversation. HWTL!

What you on about they're in big trouble? Who cares if they get relegated. They'll be back the season after with the money they've got. Honestly, these guys are so short term minded it's a joke. Teams can lose games and not perform well lads and then return to form and win things. It's allowed to happen 🤣🤣🤣
Completely agree. The new owners bought us in the middle of a relegation battle they would have been aware that its possible we could go down. Stavley has talked about winning something within 10 years if we spend 1 year in the championship it still leaves plenty of time to make that target a reality
