I know it’s not for everyone and it’s expensive, but check out the Milwaukee MX Fuel auger. It has tracks on the back that are motorized that haul it up and down stairs. Might be good for the back after all the years hauling the normal ones.
If it’s anything in line with the quality of their sewer cameras I’ll stick with Spartan/ridgid. Milwaukee plumbing tools are all flash no function imo

Apparently previous owners had the main replaced BUT they people didn’t replace one foot of pipe that goes to the main and I got roots growing in! :( and it’s after the 100ft mark so I have issues of the sewer guys cleaning it with ease. And I don’t wanna pay 6k bucks for a 1 ft pipe replacement! Like hell naw! I’m gonna do that myself and concrete da FUk outta that connection. Lol ain’t no roots gonna mess with my sewer again!

Longest camera inspection ever....220km sewer inspection of a township. We had to first jet the lines, then find every connection, junction and manhole, video the lines, mark them on plan, as well as using GPS to mark them. It took two years. 👍🍻🇿🇦
I didn't know this until recently, but you're supposed to call 811 before augering a sewer line because of the chance that a gas line cross boared the sewer line.
Technically the city or whoever sent the gas line there is at fault tho. They'd have to fix all that cuz the sewer was installed first. But I get you...

Please always check to se if any utility have been replaced or worked on before running a sewer machine down, say the gas company ran a new line and hit the sewer and didn’t know, u run sewer machine down hitting the gas, it will fill every single home on the sewer line with gas, it can be a massive problem, reason I know I work gas and it has happened

You forgot condoms still full of juice and dental floss. Quick story truck driver just bought a bran new house and had just gotten married. Took off a month off then went back to work. Would leave Monday come back Friday night after a month he needed his he line rodded. We did pulled out nothing but condoms all colors of them. We showed him he ran up stairs and all we could hear was yelling screaming door opening and closing, stuff being broken and what not got out left a bill and left.

Note that the cracked pipe is on the top, not the flow line, the camera view is inverted. Not saying that isn’t evidence of a flow line issue and repairs aren’t needed. It would have been better to show the pipe without water flow obstructing the view.

When do you use black pvc vs white pvc?
Different places have different codes but around here most of the people use ABS for commercial property and PVC for residential.
